Many of which were mullioned windows (if you pay to have your windows washed - you know the added expense of those!) I received 4 quotes from different companies. Some were higher, one was lower, but I went with Vizion because of the fact they are a family owned Texas based company and they have over 4 decades of experience in the Window Industry. From the initial meeting to the installation, it was a seamless experience, and this was during Covid, when material shortages were creating 8-10 month back orders. They stayed in constant contact and the windows are great. I recommend at the very least, inviting them out to bid on your window project. I don't think you'll regret it. They are as honest as the day is long. And that's hard to find in this day and age.

He responded quickly, gave a pretty fair quote, and was able to do the job quickly. He did a ok job on the repairs and paint. He did ask for money for supplies up front and miscalculated then asked for more. He worked quickly and was pretty responsive on text. However, they removed a lot of hardware (towel bars, etc) and didn't put them back after...just left them all over the place. They also broke the blinds on a middle section of a 3 frame window and just left them. When I asked about it, he ignored me. There's also paint on my cabinets and floors where it shouldn't be. Ok, that was the paint job. I also asked if he knew anyone who could do some carpet. He said he did and quoted a fair price and promised to take full responsibility for the work. The carpet install looks good...however...they left the old carpet and trash on my curb. I'm going to have to pay someone to remove it because it's a mess that the regular garbage men won't take and it's been sitting on my grass for a couple weeks. They also broke my doorknob and I had to pay to have it replaced. All I asked was for him to get the carpet trash removed but now he's unresponsive. Do you know how you have people come to your house and do work only to be disappointed with how they comport themselves or the quality of the work or their products? Not the case here. This is easily the most professional organization I have dealt with in a long time. This all started with my wife and I deciding that we would like to have some automated shades installed in our living room and master bedroom. In the case of the living room, the problem was that the shades were back behind a fairly large couch and hard to get to so they always stayed down. In the case of the master bedroom, I am very sensitive to light and tend to work odd hours so I need a complete blackout environment (think a photo darkroom) so that I can sleep. We called several companies to come out, take a look at what we wanted and give us quotes. One of those companies was AutomatedShade.Com and, after exchanging some initial email with basic specifications, Nancy and Roy came out on a Saturday to meet with us. As soon as they came in the house, we immediately felt more comfortable with them than with the other people we had spoken to. They were on time, professional and helpful making several suggestions that we would not have thought of. Roy and I discussed the engineering of the solution while Nancy and my wife sat down to pick out fabrics. Within 45 minutes, everyone knew exactly what needed to happen, we shook hands and waited for their quote. Several days later (the time frame that we agreed) I received the quote from Nancey. Just so we are clear, they are not cheap but, I am very particular about quality and was convinced that they were the only ones who had the capability to do exactly what we wanted. We signed the contract and paid the standard half up front. It takes a couple of weeks for these shades to be constructed which we used to have the electrical contractor come out and run the necessary wiring. This took about a day and was relatively painless. Then the installation began and was done in 3 phases: Day 1: Drywall repair from the electrical work and hanging and wiring of the bedroom shades. Day 2: Light seal of the bedroom and when I say light seal, I mean SEALED. King Tut never had it so good. Day 3: Hanging and wiring of the living room shades. Throughout all of this, Roy was extremely professional putting down drop cloths, cleaning up after himself and even doing touch up paint where necessary. The crowning touch: My wife watches several babies during the week so Roy was kind enough to agree to come in on Saturday, his day off, so as not to disturb the little ones. What can I say? I am blown away. We love our shades and the experience could not have been better. In this day and age of people who over-promise and under-deliver, finding an organization of this quality is rare. Now if they only built patios (my next project) life would be perfect! Thank you Nancey and Roy. It was a pleasure working with you.

The contracts were executed on November 4, 2025 (Bellaire) and December 2, 2025 (Memorial), and deposits were paid. For the Bellaire location, after the contract was signed, additional installation requirements were introduced that were not disclosed at the time of signing and were not part of the executed agreement. These changes significantly altered the scope of the work. When we asked for clarification or alternative solutions, the situation did not move toward resolution. Instead, communication escalated to default notices and demands rather than scheduling or moving the project forward. For the Memorial location, there were no additional installation requirements; however, we were repeatedly told the project was "on track," yet no installation date was ever provided. This led to delays and unnecessary escalation. Based on this experience, I would strongly recommend that anyone considering this company make sure all installation requirements, scope details, and conditions are clearly spelled out in writing before signing a contract, and that the agreement clearly addresses remedies such as refunds or other protections if performance is delayed or not completed as agreed.

The worst experience of our lives! What was supposed to have been a rewarding time was nothing but…read morea nightmare. So many things went wrong. We moved in February 2021. We still have a "punch item" list that hasn't been fulfilled now in February 2022. We did stained concrete floors & were left with boot footprints in our stained concrete floors, and black sharpe marks were they drew the outlines of were the cabinetry was to be placed. We were told the cabinets would cover it. Nope! It didn't cover it at all! Instead they attempted to scrape it off & add more color to it! It's absolutely hideous! The blue stain is coming off (I couldn't figure out why I kept having blue on my feet)! They refuse to take our calls & flat out have been ignoring us. We also have items that we paid for and never received! Still fighting them on that as well. (PEX Plumbing Manifold and Five phone drops). We ordered fiber glass doors (of which we paid for) only to get wood doors which are now warped! We were told they look like wood but that they are fiberglass. Fiberglass does not warp which was the whole logic in ordering them in the 1st place! We did oil rubbed bronze fixtures throughout the house. We noticed the garbage disposal button was silver & pointed it out. They spray painted it saying it was replaced! Not! It completely peeled/flaked off and is silver! In the master bathroom we have grout stuck on the tile that was never removed upon completion of the job! David, the salesman has come out to our home, took photos of our grievances and said he would get back in touch with us. NOTHING has been resolved! If I could give ZERO stars, I would!
