Coming from Craig kids were hungry and wanted lunch in Meeker and not have to wait for Rifle. We ordered lunch at the counter at 12:50. I know it's not fast food so we understood there would be a wait. It was busy and we sat outside with our drinks. My husband went to get a refill and I saw a lot of people leaving so I texted him at 1:20 suggesting we move inside. We got settled in new seats. At probably 1:40 someone said they know our order is next, confirmed an item we ordered and said "we didn't lose your ticket. The next time someone came by I asked for an update and she said there's just one order ahead of ours - she apologized and said someone called out. I said we needed to get back on the road so we will just take whatever is ready. She handed me three of four boxes of food at 1:50. We ate and were out the door at 2:05. An hour wait for food. Not my favorite dining experience. The spicy tacos weren't spicy. The grilled cheese was cold and only the bread had been cooked - the cheese inside was gummy and unappealing. Other than the casual "sorry" from the cashier no one came by even when one of the owners came upstairs to talk to another customer. We were practically permanent fixtures in their dining room waiting for food. I'm sure it's a great place and we were just there at an "off-time". It has very affordable prices and lots of customers coming and going - so clearly it's very popular. If you're on the road and looking for a quick bite this isn't the place. My kids genuinely thought they'd have eaten food faster if they just waited for Rifle and they're not wrong. read more

We were in town for the Range Call and enjoyed stopping in for coffee each morning. They roast their own coffee and it is so delicious! I popped in each morning. Every day there was a little bit of a line, but it moved quickly. I had grandkids with me and of course they also tried the home made ice cream... while I didn't taste the ice cream I thoroughly enjoyed the smiles on their faces and they said it was so yummy read more

Eggs and toast were also good, though wrapping paper stained the eggs red which gave our kids pause... Service 4/5 Pleasant cashier, food was a bit slow to come out for a breakfast cafe with very few patrons, eg 15mins Ambiance 3.5/5 Clean little basement cafe, direct entrance from side door. Wendell's is by far the friendliest stop in meeker. Their tacos and breakfast sandwiches are a few of my favorites.

Very nice find while traveling. Son got a delicious latte and my wife said "they do hot tea "right". Put the honey in first before the hot water. Jewelry , t-shirts, etc Cafe downstairs Positive affirmations abound everywhere. Stop by for a nice break. read more

We stopped in on our drive home from Steamboat. Lots of cars outside, we walked in to the souvenir shop and there wasn't anyone around just lots of really cute items. You take the stairs down to an uber cute cafe. The wonderful smells from the grill instantly get your tummy rumbling. They have a good selection of coffee drinks. I opted for the peanutbutter white mocha (YUM) and my boy toy got the velvet white mocha (also much YUM). We ordered the Not your mama's grilled cheese to spilt, and our tummy's are warm and happy to get us back on the road! This will def be a regular stop on our trips through the great CO. read more

Good coffee, nice people and they serve a good breakfast. Definitely a place locals go to and for good reason. I have come here three days in a row and had something different for breakfast each day. Really enjoyed them all. The entrance is either down some stairs in the shop above or on the side street at basement level. Parking on the side street too. read more
