They first claimed the delivery service "got lost," then changed the story to "he got into an accident," even though I had already been told the crown should have arrived the day before. The constantly changing explanations made the situation feel dishonest and poorly managed. Communication about charges has also been unclear and inconsistent, and no one could give me a straight answer about billing. As I had to request four different times for the office manager to email me the charges, and have not received an email till this day. I contacted corporate about these issues and was contacted by someone named Beth, who initially apologized and said she would take care of the situation. Unfortunately, she has since stopped providing solutions and appears to have aligned with the same unprofessional behavior instead of resolving the ongoing problems she said she would handle. When I tried to address these concerns directly with the office, the office manager was rude and dismissive rather than helpful or professional. Humana, my dental insurance carrier has confirmed on 3 occasions that I was overcharged by Friedman…read moreDental Miami $332.80 for a crown I received in June of 2023. They have refused to reimburse me. In addition, the crown fell out less than 2 years after the work was done. In August 2025, Friedman agreed, after much pressure, to replace it with no direct costs to me but they, without my approval, billed Humana and receive $440, which was credited against my 2025 coverage allowance for upcoming work. The crown was initially put in poorly. They should not have been paid for their faulty work a second time, particularly since they over charged me the first time. They have now ceased to work with Humana and there is nothing more Humana can do to assist me. I have now stopped going to this office because of this issue and the fact Humana will no longer cover work there. I have filed several formal complaints against this office with professional monitoring agencies. I have been trying to get my full dental records from them for a couple weeks and they have failed to send them. Recently, I had to see a new dentist and start with new x-rays and no historical record from my over 20 years at Friedman Miami. This office was taken over by new management a few years ago and that's when a lot of customer service and billing issues began. I saw 4/5 different dentist there over the last 4 years. They can't seem to keep the same dentist. They owe me $332.80 for the initial overbilled work and $440 for the amount charged against my Humana Insurance allowance for replacing the faulty first crown. Total ($772.80) plus my full dental records. I would avoid this office completely.
