The store is never busy, which is great, but honestly, they have so much great stuff, wish more people would shop here. They do a decent amount of online orders and print sales so that is good, but we hope this place doesn't get shut down. The building desperately needs repairs and work done and please please update the POS system. Your poor employees have to do so much extra work because of how outdated the POS system is. Riley has been there every time we have shopped here, he is a great employee. We had dealt with the other employees when been there and they all are helpful and knowledgably. The prices are the same if not better than other stores but I rather pay more and not have a busy overcrowded and picked thru items and shop here even if paying a few cents more. We always find what we need and if there is something they dont have we have ordered it to ship to us directly. Riley recently got us signed up for the business membership program and glad we did, we saved over $80 on our recent purchase. Thank you for being such a great place to shop for all our office/schooling needs.

He was able to incorporate…read morea very old piece of Birdseye maple I had, from a very old house in Madison, which was renovated into offices. The stereo cabinet is absolutely stunning, and I get many compliments on it. It took about 1 1/2 years for the cherry-wood to darken with exposure to light, and it is simply fabulous looking now. I was able to provide him with a piece of Birdseye Maple I'd gotten out of an antebellum Madison home before it was remodeled for offices, which he cut to make panels for both doors. I was also able to purchase stone doorknobs made of nephrite jade on my own, and Joseph helped me select some lovely satin-finish bronze hardware. The beautiful finish is shellac. I was surprised and very pleased when I found this finish stood up to lavender essential oil my roommate spilled on it! My only negative comment would be that he did not accomplish the job on my schedule. That may be the typical reality when dealing with craftsmen who are also true artists. Where it comes to quality craftsmanship, I recommend him VERY highly.

I thought the $75 delivery and assembly fee was very reasonable - I certainly didn't want to have to move or assemble that goliath myself. The installers arrived on time and did a great job assembling it. On the day we bought the desk, there was a bookshelf on display that had some actual books in it. One of the books is a classic for my profession ("Design Patterns: Elements of Reusable Object-Oriented Software") and I asked the salesman about it - he gave it to me for free without hesitation! I thought that was pretty neat. Now, fast forward two years, and the reason that I'm writing this review. We bought a new house, and we had to figure out how we were going to move that beast of a desk to the new place. We called up Office Furniture Used and New, and Nate only needed a cellphone picture of the desk before agreeing to disassemble, move, and reassemble the desk for the delivery fee x2 ($150)! If that isn't service then I don't know what is; honestly if they weren't able to help us out I don't know what I would have done as we didn't get any help moving our stuff (and even paid movers wouldn't help disassemble/reassemble a desk). In short, Office Furniture Used and New has exceeded my expectations in every way. Their customer service has always been way above and beyond, and my wife is still very pleased with her sturdy, wooden desk. I can't recommend them highly enough!
