May 2021: ordered patio furniture for the summer that was to be delivered in June. Delivery was pushed to July, then August and then September. September 6th 2021: the patio furniture was delivered. The delivery people stated the order was missing screws. We were assured that the screw would arrive in a few days and then the furniture could be put together. October 2021: no screws and no updates. I have spent hours on the phone getting the run around between local Ashley and corporate Ashley. There is no ETA on "missing screws". Messages have been left for managers with no reply. At this point I want the furniture picked up and a complete refund. The sales process wasn't bad. In fact, the sales person was very nice and informative. But after we paid for our sectional sofa and the order was placed, that's when the awful experience began. We were told our sofa would be delivered within 4 to 6 weeks, and when we didnt receive a call after 5 weeks, i figured i would call and check in. Over the phone, we were able to set the delivery date at the very end of our 6 week waiting period. The day before our sofa was to be delivered, we received a call that our order was back ordered and we had to wait two more weeks for the delivery. Literally 24 hours before our scheduled delivery. We got rid of our previous couch to make room. So now we dont have seating for two weeks. The day arrived (2 months after we ordered) when we got our sofa delivered. But it arrived damaged. So we had to send it back and wait another 3 weeks for the new sofa to be delivered. Again, we didnt have seating after assuming we would already have the sofa by now. Now that it has been about one year of owning it, the springs have broke and the cushions fall through, the arm rests broke, and the terrible quality is really showing. I would never, ever, ever recommend this store to anyone. First, they showed up nearly four hours after their "10 minute" arrival notification call. Drive didn't knock on the door and walked in unannounced with a plain V-neck tee shirt on smelling of marijuana. After the initial frustration of his entry without knocking and lack of professionalism I'm informed the chaise was delivered in the wrong color and that they wouldn't be bringing that into the house. Understandable, he claimed I couldn't turn away the whole order (three piece sofa) because it was a custom order and I'd need to "figure it out" with my salesperson. Seems rather fishy and a BS line. Called my salesperson, Jenny who was helpful and said a customer service rep would call me shortly. Rep calls and informs me that my chaise was delivered to another house FIVE days ago. I let him the lack of honesty and professionalism is unmatched and that I need this unsafe, unassembled furniture picked up or it's going to left on the side of my house for trash pickup. Assistant Manager, Brian calls me about an hour later stating their mistake is mine and that custom, hazardous , unassembled furniture i paid $3000 and is a safety concern for my two young children (it has metal connectors exposed that could easily catch a child's toe or finger) isn't refundable. He said tough luck, I threatened to call my bank to open a complain for return. While on the phone with my bank they stated this branch has had multiple similar complaints and started to document my issues and they would proceed accordingly. Wish I could rate at -5 stars...I do not recommend Ashley FAM, regardless of a pandemic, which their Appliance Manager (Greg) blames everything on. Our salesperson ordered the wrong color dishwasher, our washer and dryer were delivered and installed, but they damaged our brand new cabinets in the installation process. Our furniture was delivered but damaged in transit. Save yourself some grief and check out Steinhafels next door and Best Buy for appliances. Best Buy was able to deliver our other appliances in a timely manner. Ashley FAM takes weeks to months of waiting, only to get damaged goods. Not sure that any of this can be blamed on the pandemic. read more

The store itself is beautifully decorated, with some designs that I can see being implemented in my own home. The sales associates do a good job of keeping a distance and asking for help unobtrusively. However, the prices are higher than what I expected for name brands that I've never heard of. I was with my interior design friend and she did not recognize the names of the manufacturers for their living room furniture. They do offer bulk discount if you say, spend over $2,000 and up. I can't see myself actually buying anything here but it's a good store and just walk around to get some ideas without being hounded by salespeople. read more

Worst experience possible! Our sales guy was great, but after that it's been down hill! We bought a sectional and ottoman on sale for $2500 in January and literally weeks after delivery the fabric started falling apart. We called Ashley in May and after a tech came to our house and noted we have dogs, they now try and blame this on "pet damage". It's physically impossible for an entire couch, ottoman and the throw pillows to pill evenly throughout from pets. After many phone calls and being told they agree the fabric isn't holding up due to it either being the end of the fabric roll or just faulty, to being back and forth of told it's pet damage. 3 weeks ago they finally said they would come and reupholster everything, but it was worded as if they are doing us a favor. I have called weekly asking to set this up with either no response or someone telling me they will call me back later that same day with an appointment time. I'm extremely frustrated and disappointed with this purchase and how Ashley has given us the runaround. We will never buy from Ashley again after this experience! They are trying to run us out of our warranty and/or exhaust us until we go away so they don't have to take care of their faulty furniture. It's now almost September and I've been dealing with this since May, worst possible customer service if you ask me! No purchase should require this much hassle! I ordered a mattress, they offered delivery in two weeks. Just before the delivery date, they pushed back the deadline a week. I took the day off work to be ready when the delivery came, and day of they kept pushing back the delivery timeline. At 7:45 pm of the day they'd rescheduled, after reassuring me all day that it'd be delivered, they informed me they'd never actually loaded it onto the truck that morning. The overall buying experience was to be as expected. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. That said, the delivery was a complete disaster. It began when the staff who delivered my couch did not fully assemble it, and they were about to leave. Upon questioning if I received the right couch ( the sectional seemed small), and then reassuring me I have. It turned out they never fully unloaded the truck and were about to leave with the remainder of my couch. I did not receive all the power cords and still waiting. Wish I had read the reviews first. I ordered online; I recently moved and ordered a sofa. And I ordered a cheaper one since I couldn't test it out. I figured eventually it'll be a basement couch once I found one of quality and style. I accept that. No legs for the sofa. I was told they were stuffed in the cushions. Nope. Call center is overwhelmed with calls ( hire more staff!) and it would be 48-96 hours BEFORE someone would get back to me. I called Saturday, it's Tuesday. Update: I did go into the physical store on Thursday and a very nice man (most employees were wearing masks, there was sanitizer) tried to help me. But online orders must be handled online. But he gave me great service. And Ashley FINALLY called me back roughly 216 HOURS LATER! Not the 48-96 hours. And they have shipped legs that will arrive in 8-10 days ( or will it? ). I do not recommend anybody buying furniture from this place. The sales woman sold us on how the couch we were looking at was such a high quality that movie theaters use the same products, and how the material although not real leather was better than leather and stronger than leather and more stain, resistant and more resistant to flaking or damage, we also had a five-year warranty and when we talked about the warranty, she said it was going to cover anything besides damage from pets. Well apparently she misinformed me or didn't tell me about the fine print notes that say they will not warranty the material from flaking are cracking We paid a lot of money for this couch, and we are very disappointed, and we will never shop there again for anything. read more

I'm giving this review 3 stars, but the sales aspect of the experience is more like 5 stars. We came in a couple of months ago to look for a large sectional. We weren't followed or hounded. We did have the same sales person come up to us a few times to ask if we had questions about a particular piece -- it wasn't bothersome, it was appreciated. Can't remember her name (sounded European), but husband and I agreed that she was nice and appropriate. She talked to us about the options of a specific couch we liked. We didn't come home with a couch that day though. We returned a week or so later with laser focus. We ended up working with Lindsay instead. She was friendly, professional, and very knowledgeable of the couch we liked. She spent plenty of time talking with us about the other pieces of furniture we were really interested in. We ended up purchasing a sectional, dining set, and living room sofas. Needless to say, we appreciated Lindsay's guidance and really enjoyed working with her. The rest of our experience has been a crap shoot...and still in progress. When the furniture was delivered, we noticed that our sliding door had been damaged and chipped. Our ottoman was frayed from being rubbed against the wall during the delivery process. Our sofa was squeaky. Our dining set was the wrong height (we ordered counter height). The only really amazing thing so far is that we have no problems with the sectional and are sooo happy with how it fits in our basement, along with the ottoman. Oh, and Lindsay was really helpful in problem solving when I called her about these issues. In the midst of all this, we've had a couple service workers come to fix the squeaky sofa and the ottoman. The first guy (Robert?) was great - he came to inspect our concerns (carefully!), he told my husband he'd order the necessary parts for the squeaky sofa and new cover for the ottoman, told him to anticipate the in-home repair to be about 3 hours, and all will be set. The second guy (not Robert) came for the actual service and didn't really have a clue why the parts were sent to our home. He took apart the netting of the sofa carelessly and placed it back carelessly. He then took the ottoman with him and said it should be ready in a week. Meanwhile, we have a box of fiber filling meant for the sofa that is in our living room. We received a call from Mary in customer service to inquire about the sliding door damage and my husband explained to her the concerns with the second service guy. Mary was very understanding, professional, and we liked how she really listened to our concerns. So at this point, we're waiting for the ottoman to be returned, we're waiting to figure out what's going on with our squeaky couch (hoping for a new one at this point!), we're waiting for our dining set (at the end of September), and we're waiting to see about the sliding door damage. I had a terrible experience (yet again) and this is the last straw with shopping at any Ashley HomeStore. We bought a dining and bedroom set a few years ago and had a number of issues with delivery. The store manager promised us a discount and when I contacted the store to use it, I was told the manager had left and there would be no discount. Nice. I bought appliances this time around. Was told they could be installed without issue and picked a day for delivery. Had to confirm delivery via email, text, and phone at various points leading up to delivery day. I called once more the night before to be sure and confirmed that everything was a go. Sold my old appliances the morning of the delivery and here is where the problems really get going. Microwave and dishwasher arrived with installer. Unfortunately, no way to install microwave (my fault and I have plans to install it on my own this weekend) and no way to install dishwasher. I had explained my dishwasher setup to the salesperson and had received confirmation twice that there would be no issues. I was able to request a refund for the installation fee, but now have to hire a plumber and electrician to get the dishwasher installed. I would have been fine with this, but it would have been nice to know this in advance. At the very end of my delivery window (for the fridge and stove), I get a call saying the delivery truck and its backup had broken down. No delivery until Tuesday through Friday next week. I am at a conference Monday through Wednesday, so had to pick Thursday. I asked why the next two days would not work, but was told since the trucks were loaded in advance, they would not be able to help. That is ridiculous. Rent a different truck and make things right for the customer. I have no appliances! I have called and left messages for managers twice and did not receive a response until I called Ashley Corporate. And even then, I just received a message saying they were working on it. The last issue, I found the appliances for a slightly cheaper price (this was before delivery). I wasn't going to worry about it, but now I am more frustrated because I could have avoided the delivery issues and paid less if I had looked elsewhere. I filed a BBB complaint this morning and will be sending the BBB store review later today. Avoid this store - they don't care to help customers when they mess up. 11.15.19 - called again today and left a message. No response. No idea when or if we will receive our appliances. Hunted around for an L-shaped couch WITHOUT the gimmicky ottoman protruding forth from one end. You would think that would not be that difficult to find, but the attached ottoman was unfortunately all the rage among davenport manufacturers in 2019. We finally alighted on Ashley Furniture and were almost immediately gratified with a simple L-shaped sofa with ample stuffing and stout wooden feet- ON SALE! Huzzah! They were able to modify the long/short configuration after a two month wait and one false start. (The first delivery was sent back with heartfelt apologies from our salesperson at his clerical error.) It was well worth waiting for however. We had found a durable fabric in a subtle shade and comfortable as all get-out. read more

With sales people who stalk you like wolves (even after I clearly stated we did not need help by the sales staff.. After the 5th check in I was 2 seconds away from yelling at her to leave us alone), a 2-4 week wait, and overley priced only to be 'on sale' to normal prices we were not impressed. The one thing we were interested in was the package deals for the end table and lamp sets but after finding out if we did not buy a couch with it they would jack up the price on it. Again not impressed. The one couch we did like did not have a price and somehow no one knew how to find the price. Its literally the first couch you see when you walk in the door. Disappointed with the customer service I've experienced. Twice they've committed to a delivery date and ended up needing to reschedule on short notice (one delivery they rescheduled twice). It can take a lot to reorganize work/life schedules to be available - and they showed little appreciation for the inconvenience that resulted from their failure to meet their commitments. It's disheartening since i did my part - I paid on time, I was flexible with my schedule. But when I asked if they could more flexible with delivery procedures, they refused. When I offered suggestions to mitigate similar issues, they were reluctant to change. Their lack of empathy is disappointing. It's happened to me twice. read more

The sales staff is attentive but I never felt hounded the few times hubs and I have gone in to poke around. We bought an entertainment center and it took a little longer to arrive than expected. Like 1-2 weeks past the expected date. To be fair, we said we weren't in a huge hurry but when you drop thousands of dollars you like to know when to expect the item to arrive. When it DID arrive, it was in pristine condition and the guys who delivered and assembled it were polite and fast. My mom is super jealous because it has tons of storage without taking up a lot of space. One thing that was really annoying is that the store has all these awesome industrial metal/rustic wood bookshelves sitting all over the place, yet they are for DISPLAY ONLY and not available to buy! I would've bought 2-3 of them and offered to buy them right off the sales floor. They still said no. They didn't have anything remotely similar so those shelves so I bought some elsewhere. I own my own business and I just don't understand the concept of turning down easy money. I'd definitely come here again. Kind of a shame that there aren't more options in Madison for furniture. We don't like the trendy stuff and I sometimes feel like everything looks the same. I fell in love with an HGTV chair that I'm still not completely over...it was like sitting on a cloud...a $1200 cloud, so I couldn't justify it, but I'm hoping maybe one day there will be a sale... I ordered a left sided chaise well over a month ago and just received a call to say that this could not be ordered. The sales person offered a discount for a new right sided chaise. I called the following day to confirm, just to find and out it was sold... They offered me a floor model and I asked for a greater discount. The sales person stated this couch was going to clearance so I didn't think this would be an issue. They said the manager Joe would compromise and I stood firm on my request. The sales person said they should have just offered a refund instead of working with me. I requested the manager, Joe, call me. He said he wasn't sure why they offered the discount to begin with... I extra appreciated that they do free delievery, and for $50 they will take your old furniture away with them. The 4 stars is only because the couch that we ended up ordering arrived later than we had hoped, and parts of it were not to the standards we would have expected. Still, the staff was very friendly, and service was smooth. I would look into getting more furniture from them in the future. **EDIT** After months of dealing with the store for the last few months, since November 2016, we have had nothing but problems and absolutely awful customer service. I don't want to bore you all with the details, how it took them forever to call and get it, but we still don't have that one piece. They WILL NOT call you to let you know what's happening. Just got 2 Kaiser Point side chairs to match a table I have. They match beautifully. That's the good news. The bad news? One chair has drips and runs down the wood piece attached to the seat.
