Yes, made in Marshfield, Wisconsin. The two big box stores across the beltline have what I consider generic furniture for a hefty price. It was refreshing to walk into Don's Home Furniture and find sofas which click off the must haves...kiln dried solid wood frames. Hand tied springs. Quality fillings. I wish I could remember the type of fabric I chose, but it's amazing, and just let Owner Blaine put permanent marker on the fabric and within a short time, it is worked out with a spray and a toothbrush. Oh yes, water..or wine..rolls tight off. Now I hope all the hair from my dog and cats will roll right off too. The sales staff do not work on commission so there is no high pressure. The owners know what sells and what doesn't so call and send pictures before going. Small quality things are generally appreciated like table top stuff or good art. Masks are required of course. Give them a shot. It's never too crowded in there and it's a big space so you can keep your distance from others.

They sent a technician who did graciously fix 3 of the 6 chairs, but for whatever reason, they left before working on the other 3. Ashley refuses to send a technician out to finish the work because we are now outside of the 1-year warranty, despite that we reported the original issue immediately after the set arrived, well within the 1-year warranty. I can't recommend Ashley Furniture given the lack of commitment to customer happiness and I personally do not plan to buy any further furniture there - practically speaking, as we are in the process of buying a new house, we will need furniture and so the cost of the loss of our business is quite a bit greater than sending a technician out to touch up 3 chairs.

After making the rounds, we kept coming back to one specific chair - Barb let us know they had 2 in stock from a cancelled order (most things are made to order) in our preferred color, plus they were included in their anniversary sale. SOLD!! I work on the commercial furniture side and felt that the quality here was oberall very high and the prices, for what you get, are pretty fair. It's not IKEA prices to be fair but it's also not made in China crap that will fall apart and bottom out in a few months. You'll love it if: you appreciate mid century or modern design, want a high level of quality, want to customize items. You won't like it if: you need cupholders in your furniture.

Because I was out of state and not moving to Wisconsin for a few months, Sandy coordinated the send-in-the-order-to-the-vendor date -- given the lead time there -- and they held the dresser, once it arrived at their store, for a few weeks until our move in day.
