It's a better playground for the younger kids with swings that have the full bucket baby seats instead of belt seats and spring riders. It also has two slides. There is a paved path throughout the park that loops. It is a great place to come to run or walk your dog. It surrounds a large field that provides space for all sorts of activities. It has a great view of the mountains over DTC as well.

Anytime of day or evening one can find people out there walking their dogs, stretching their legs, or just passing through. When it snows, there is a hill that is very popular with the kids for sledding. Nothing too dangerous, but they seem to have a good time. They do a reasonable job of picking up the trash here. They almost always have dog bags available on the east end of the park. This is the end of the park which is bisected by a neighborhood street. This basically divides The park into the larger 80%, which is west of the road, and smaller 20%, with playground, which is east of the road. I really enjoy this park, and I am lucky to live near one this accessible and nice. Just to the north, is sagebrush elementary school, which has a soccer field.

Castlewood Park is easy to get to from Orchard or Belleview on Holly Street. There is a large meadow with lush grass that is a perfect field for a pick up game of volleyball, soccer or ultimate frisbee. The next time you are running around and grabbing food, bring it here and sit at the one picnic table. I've never seen more than one other car here although there is ample parking. It's a Pokemon stop in case that gets you here for an actual stop.

This large park hosts many features such as a tons of green space partially covered with large trees and picnic benches. This park also has a Rec Center that has a pool and other sports courts. It conveniently is located at the corner of E Dartmouth Ave and S Colorado Blvd in the University Hills neighborhood of Southeast Denver. Eisenhower Park is named for first lady Mamie Doud Eisenhower, whose family migrated from Iowa to Denver for the health of Mamie's sister. This is a very nice park to visit when in the area.

The layout really works, there's plenty of room for everyone to enjoy themselves without feeling crowded. The landscaping is especially impressive, with gorgeous rock placements around the skating areas that add both character and functionality. I actually settled right beside the skate area on a rock formation that fit perfectly like a little chair, which made it easy to watch my husband skate and our son ride his scooter. The trees provided just enough shade to keep things comfortable and not too hot. On the opposite side of the park, there's a large pickleball and tennis court, and the two areas are connected by pleasant walking trails that run throughout the park. There was also a port-a-potty conveniently located near the skating area. Overall, the park was very clean, well maintained, and clearly designed with families and all kinds of activities in mind.

There is hardly any sidewalk light posts, so it's harder to roam around. The neighborhood is very beautiful and I like the uniqueness of this park.

Great spot for kids and adults alike to have fun! Lots of parking as well. Restrooms are available but they were closed in the winter months so factor that in if you go off season. Looks like it was redone not long ago and it's worth a visit whether you have kids or want to gather with friends to play sports.

There is a large and beautiful reservoir but it is surrounded by a large fence that goes all the way around. This park also has a medium sized playground and large grassy sports fields. A good destination to go when in the area.
