I asked my doctor to send my prescription to this pharmacy since it is so close to where I live. Unfortunately they didn't carry the medication I was prescribed and since I had trouble sleeping at night due to a cough, the pharmacist suggested a different one because she was concerned and didn't want me spending the night without medication. She told me I would be able to pick it up later if my doctor approved of the change. So I left and went home but was so busy I didn't have time to go back. Later that night, they showed up to my house with medication in hand and they even gave me some cough drops! Definitely recommend this pharmacy. read more

I was so very happy to find this new pharmacy across the street from where I lived. I was getting awful service at the CVS in my neighborhood and finding this pharmacy was wonderful. If you remember what it was like to receive personal service at your drug store before all the big drug store chains took over, this is the pharmacy for you and if you don't remember come here and see what truly personal service is all about. Vicky the pharmacist gives you one on one service and really makes sure you are never off your medications if you need a Prior Auth or some other form that needs to be filled out. I was constantly off and on my meds with CVS. The first time I needed a new PA Vicky advanced me a few pills so I would not be off my medications, which is something CVS would not do for me. Vicky is like a pharmacist from the past she gets to know her customer's and truly takes an interest in making sure you get your medications on time. This kind of service now is incredible to receive because so many pharmacies never take the time to get to know their customer's and you are just a prescription and not a person.Vicky will make you feel like you have known her for years her energy and warmth is infectious, I always leave her store smiling..... Her staff consist of Pharmacy Tech Francis and she is just as attentive to your needs as Vicky. She is again a pharmacy tech from the past, she truly cares about giving you great service. I went to CVS for nearly 4 years and no one knew my name or addressed me by my name even though I was in and out of their pharmacy many times a month. Francis remembered me after a few contacts and that's a good sign of a pharmacy who truly wants to give you good service. She doesn't carry a lot of extra products but what she does carry you will find are very reasonably priced compared to the big drug chains and stores. I got sore throat spray for under 3.00 and it's over 6 dollars next door at Food4less. You need something ask Vicky. This is the pharmacy if you want to experience real service like we used to get long ago. I have never been to a pharmacy to get prescription medicine before. I just happened to see the ratings on this place, and thought it was too good to be true. However, it was a VERY good and pleasant experience! I recently had a wisdom tooth pulled out yesterday, and the doctors told me to get all these prescription medicines to prepare myself for it. I had no idea where to go, so I just decided to yelp a pharamacy that was near SDSU and had a decent rating, which led me here! The pharmacy is a well-kept area. There are chairs for you to sit on, a TV to watch whatever is on, and a display of medicines to purchase if need be. I was met with 2 ladies, and they were very helpful in assisting me with getting what I needed. I was thrown off at first with the asian lady working there because her face looked so stern, but I probably was misinterpreting that as being focused in getting the correct dosage to the customers. They asked me how I found out about this place, and I told them through yelp, which pleased them! Anyways, after handing them my prescription, they explained to me the prices of each medicine (which was fairly inexpensive) and how long of a wait it was (about 30 minutes or so). I left the pharamacy to get gas for my car and to check out the shopping places nearby, and once I came back 25 minutes later, I had to wait about 7 more minutes before the medicine was ready, so it was a little over 30 minutes, but not a lot, and I didn't mind. They gave me the medicines one by one, and explained once again what to take, and when. I found that really helpful! I was about to leave, but I wanted a copy of the directions from the oral surgeon that gave them to me, so I went back and asked them for it. They told me that it was no problem, and I got it. Right as I was about to leave, they told me to wait! I had no idea if I was in trouble, which I wasn't, and they gave me a free bottle of hand sanitizer! Props to them for keeping a VERY happy and satisfied customer! Very friendly workers, and them being professional made this a great experience overall, and I would definitely recommend this place to those that need medicines. If I ever need anything similar, I plan to come back here! read more

I have seen this pharmacy just a block or so from my condo. It really is the closest. Today, I just needed the closest pharmacy. I'm so glad I went in. Nothing like personal attention when you are sick. They surprised me with a bag of cough drops when I opened the bag. Exactly what I needed but didn't think to get! They didn't mention it or take credit for it. They silently did it because they thought it would help me. I will definitely be back for all my prescriptions in the future. read more

I was recently diagnosed with a chronic illness, and went through a one-month period of very intense pain and flu-like symptoms. Not only did everyone at WellnessRx express deep, personal concern for me, they also delivered each new prescription I got so I wouldn't have to come in and sent little gifts (cough drops, etc) with each delivery :) I forgot to pick up a refill for a prescription earlier today and they stopped by my house to drop it off -- without me having to ask! I can't get enough of these folks. If you're using a big corporate pharmacy now, you've got to try these folks. read more

I've been coming here for the past 2 years and I must say! Vicky rocks!!! Shes the BEST pharmacist in town! She treats everyone with a huge smile & she's very knowledgeable with all her meds. Vicky have save me sooo much money! I use to go to cvs but it was getting so much expensive. Found this little gem right next to the grocery store I frequent & say "hey why not give it a quote"! The staff are so friendly and kind. The staff referred to me by name and that makes the service feel tailored. I like that this is a small pharmacy that can remember their patients names. I had a few prescriptions filled here when I was in town. I try to skip over the big box pharmacies like CVS and Walgreens because the staff seem overwhelmed and uninterested. The nice pharmacist at the counter was very sweet and offered to answer any questions I had about my medications. Didn't really have any, so I kindly declined. I think they also are Spanish speaking friendly here, which is a big plus for my extended family. Overall, I think I'd come back again! read more

WellnessRx has a small store, family-business feel. They remember who you are and put a lot of effort into getting you the medications that you need. I came to get some over-the-counter medications for my brother, and they were more concerned about getting us the right stuff rather than selling something and getting me out the door. I am very impressed with this place (and the pharmacist), and I can see why my dad uses it as his main pharmacy. I wish more businesses adopted this kind of model -- take care of your customers and they will keep coming back. read more

Pretty disappointed with the service I got here the other day. I rarely write reviews but I was shocked. I waited in line (after calling to make sure my prescription was ready for pick up) for about 20 minutes. The gal working the front had ZERO personality and was rude to every customer. I was last in line and relieved to get to the counter and she looked right at me and walked away... I waited patiently as she and other people typed away on another computer/walked around and looked up at me a few times. (A generous- "be right with you", would have been plenty for me.. I work in a restaurant and understand you don't have a million hands to do it all at once) anyways when she finally came back over doesn't say anything except "last name". So she looks up my name and my prescription is no where to be found?? Mind you- I called to double check it was ready. Needless to say I called my doctor immediately and now pick up from VONS pharmacy. I recommend you do the same if you want to be treated with any respect. read more
