Carmen put me back together again with the most thoughful and helpful bodywork I've ever received, all in her beautifully appointed studio. I am sure with my stress and tension to the massage. I felt incomplete after the massage, missing something and in pain. Felt sick and have been exhausted for 6 days since with no relief in sight. I suppose it was my fault to agree to a deep tissue massage instead of a Swedish style. I just wanted to relax but instead was in pain and had lots of stress which cannot be good for the body! She also pulled on my toes at the end, now two of my toes hurt and one toe is swollen. Hurt's like hell. Still swollen (7/19) Not a very enjoyable person to be around either. Very very bad breath as well like not brushing for weeks and smoked a ton of cigs too. GROSS! Basically just a unpleasant experience. The owner did mumble that her co-worker is still busy. 6:00pm came and no one has come yet, and by 6:10pm, my husband asked me if we should get dressed already and walk out. That was the time when the owner and another lady came in to start the massage. The owner did my massage. She started on my head and it felt like she was rushing. Then in the middle of my massage, the phone rung and she answered it. Then walked out the room after 15 minutes to cater to someone who walked in. She was gone for a couple of minutes and did not apologize when she came back. Then for my husband, he told me he almost fell from the bed when the lady tried stretching him. I did hear the lady giggled and my husband confirmed that it was because he almost fell and she did not apologize to him. He also said that the pressure was inconsistent and mostly it was more on just light massage, even though we told them we want a deep tissue/thai combination. Then by 7:00pm, the owner said "Okay, all done!" And the lady who's doing my hubby's massage also said "done". We both looked at the clock and we knew we were short-changed. So before we walked back to the front desk, I asked my hubby how much he wanted to give for a tip, and he said $10. So i told my husband, give $30 for both of us. When he wrote the tip on the receipt, the owner asked if he can make it "$40"... And my hubby said well you guys didn't complete the one hour, it was only for 50 mins. And the owner said, we came inside the room at 6pm. And I told her "nope as we were about to get dressed at 6:10pm, and you made us wait for 30 minutes." She then agreed $30 is okay. We are generous tippers when it comes to massage if we feel the masseuse worked hard for it. But we were disappointed on the service from this business. If you'll ask me, just avoid this business.
