Something has changed with this place since I first started going to it. I think it's new ownership. They don't have rooms, they have thin divided walls and two guys rotated in the room(ish) next to me and I was able to hear their happy ending. It made me really uncomfortable. That's when I noticed that my massage therapist was wearing a catholic school girl outfit. Then when I asked them to change a $50 dollar bill for a tip, they insisted I give the whole thing to my massage therapist. I work for tips and I was not going to tip over 20%. They wanted me to tip almost 100%! I had to go next door to the restaurant to get change. This isn't a serious massage place, this is a massage place for men and I feel ridiculous I didn't realize the clientele when going in. read more

This was the worst massage I have ever had. The man was not experienced in massages. He squeezed my neck for 10 minutes, gently rubbed my back for 15 minutes, talked loud right above my ears to the other staff members, took a phone call. The massage was awesome they also accepted me in short notice without an appointment. Definitely a language barrier but the one word they know how to say clearly is tip. I tipped $8 for a $40 30 minute massage (pretty good price I think) and she basically told me I should've tipped more. I am so disappointed and unimpressed with the service I received at Angel Massage. When I arrived, I was immediately ushered into a massage room only to be taken immediately out in order to pre-pay for my massage. Not a big deal tho. Then my masseuse charged me $92 for a 90 minute full body massage (great price in my opinion). When I added a tip to the total and she asked, "bigger tip please?" Now this kind of threw me off because I haven't even received my massage yet and despite that, I was tipping but she was asking me for more money??? But I believe that people who provide services should be tipped so I obliged. 5 minutes into my massage, my masseuse told me, "actually it's $100, sorry." I thought her changing the price was odd but that it could have been an honest mistake on her end so I told her that I would pay her more when the massage was finished. At one point during my massage, my masseuse actually took a call and was talking to what sounded like a potential customer and eventually, she scheduled them for their massage on Sunday at 2pm while I was still on the table trying to relax and enjoy my own massage. Although the massage itself was lovely, it began at 4:30pm and ended at 5:45pm. That is not the 90 minute massage that I had pre-paid for... When the massage was over, I got out my card, prepared to pay the $100 plus my tip and then my masseuse asked me AGAIN, "bigger tip please?" I just wanted to leave at this point, so I gave her the money she requested of me and left. I would like to give Angel Massage benefit of the doubt, it could have just been a stressful, hectic day for them/my masseuse. But I feel really disappointed with the experience that they offered me. I felt harassed into tipping more and more (BOTH times when I was at their reception desk) for a massage that ended early and for a distracted masseuse. I LOVE tipping, I think it's so important but I NEVER want to be harangued to tip an individual when they hadn't even given me the service that I am paying for yet. Tipping is a choice and shows respect but I feel as though I wasn't respected when my massage therapist took a call and scheduled another client during my massage. I would not recommend Angel Massage at this point in time, however, I hope they improve their professionalism because I think they offer a great and affordable service with talented and skilled masseuses. read more

I really needed a foot massage after hiking 10 miles this morning near the Grand Canyon, and this was the one place that accepted walk ins last minute. My feet were super sore so It gave me just what I needed. I did a 30 min foot massage and it was just the right amount of pressure and I was able to soak my feet in hot water. There was only one lady there on a Sunday so only one person at a time. It was a super affordable price but the interior is not the same as a luxury spa place. This is a no frills kind of place but it gets the job done. I would definitely come here regularly if I were a local! read more

I'm really amazed with Yumin and the exceptionally high quality massage she gave me at Angel Massage this past Sunday. In fact, it was by far the best massage I've ever experienced! That's a big deal for me to say that, and I'm almost in disbelief that it was so effective. Because for probably the last 12 years I have gone to only three primary massage therapists all the way down in Scottsdale. It was worth the drive down there to get "the best". However this past Sunday I had been doing around five hours of driving, and my back had been hurting for a couple days. I was in Flagstaff and thought I had nothing to lose by trying this Asian massage place. (The other two massage places I had used in Flagstaff over the years were pretty underwhelming, so this place had to be better then the others, I hoped.) It was unlike anything I had ever experienced!! Yumin did this process where she "sealed in heat" around my lower back, as well as both knees. It felt really good! She also seemed to tune in to my back and starting from the top and going all the way down she adjusted and popped and de-knotted... it was four times better than any chiropractic adjustment - my back felt great!!! I would strongly recommend if you have back pain or just want to relax and treat yourself to "The Best" that you give yourself an Angel Massage with Yumin. Forget Scottsdale. She's now the only person I want giving me massages. She's that good. read more

First time here. I just had a great 60 min body massage with hot rocks. I stopped in and made an appointment for later in the day and was happy to get in with short notice. Jenny was a good therapist and I left there feeling great! Be patient with the language barrier. Also, cash only and they want the tip added first. They have a sign it front advertising a 45-minute massage for $29.99. When I came in and asked for that they seemed to be upset and could not communicate much in English. I felt uncomfortable in this space and was not sure why there was an issue so I said that I would come back. I came back and think things seem fine, that see cut the massage short 10 minutes. I told her that I had paid for a 45-minute massage. She demanded a $10 tip for a mediocre massge that was 10 min. Cut short. Disspaointing. read more

There is definitely a language barrier but the massage itself was A+. I called wanting a couples massage for 60 minutes each. When we arrived we were told that we could do 30 minutes each. Not ideal but I think there is only one employee (possibly the owner) working. We each got deep tissue including hot stones and it was very nice. I would go back again. I would recommend using google translate to make the process of scheduling easier as the employee speaks Chinese. read more

First off, they made us paid upfront. Then, she asked for the tip before the service. The ladies were wearing mini skirts and had a bra soaking in their bathroom sink. Best massage I've ever had! I went in w some awful lower back pain and I had the best massage ever. It was refreshing to have a massage therapist who listen to my muscles and wasn't just performing a cookie cutter massage like I've had before at massage envy. I went home put a heating pad on my back and I feel good as new. The massage therapist I had didn't know much English but she was great and I was able to figure out what she meant. What meant the most was her kind attitude. I plan on going here regularly now. I hate spending the money and not knowing if it's going to be worth it.
