I had a very sore back from golfing so me and my partner decided to get couple's massage. We walked in and was able to get serviced within 20 minutes! I'm pretty sure I had the male masseuse that everyone in the review's were talking about and I found his massage service to be extremely enjoyable! He worked on all of my sore spots super well and I came out extremely relaxed! My partner said his massage was super good and that the masseuse worked super hard on his overdue knots. We did have to pay beforehand BUT they don't make you sign until after you finish. I'm sure this is a direct result from walkouts so I completely understand. If you want an extremely well done massage then go spend 2x the price at Massage Envy. At the end of the day, you get what you pay for and for the price I paid, I'm extremely happy about it. Regarding to the discrepancy via the website and in store prices, I can easily tell you why that is: they paid for a website developer and/or probably don't have the technical knowledge on how to edit a website (it's very hard, and even harder when you're an immigrant). It's also not that big of a discrepancy either ($10). Reminder that not everyone has the privilege of being born in America. My husband and I came to this spa to have a couples massage for an hour. I called ahead and we were asked to come over at 5:40pm. We got there at 5:35pm and as soon as we were greeted, the owner already asked for a payment of $160, even before we got the service. I almost hesitated but I desperately needed a massage . We were then brought into a room and was asked to lay down. The owner did mumble that her co-worker is still busy. 6:00pm came and no one has come yet, and by 6:10pm, my husband asked me if we should get dressed already and walk out. That was the time when the owner and another lady came in to start the massage. The owner did my massage. She started on my head and it felt like she was rushing. Then in the middle of my massage, the phone rung and she answered it. Then walked out the room after 15 minutes to cater to someone who walked in. She was gone for a couple of minutes and did not apologize when she came back. Then for my husband, he told me he almost fell from the bed when the lady tried stretching him. I did hear the lady giggled and my husband confirmed that it was because he almost fell and she did not apologize to him. He also said that the pressure was inconsistent and mostly it was more on just light massage, even though we told them we want a deep tissue/thai combination. Then by 7:00pm, the owner said "Okay, all done!" And the lady who's doing my hubby's massage also said "done". We both looked at the clock and we knew we were short-changed. So before we walked back to the front desk, I asked my hubby how much he wanted to give for a tip, and he said $10. So i told my husband, give $30 for both of us. When he wrote the tip on the receipt, the owner asked if he can make it "$40"... And my hubby said well you guys didn't complete the one hour, it was only for 50 mins. And the owner said, we came inside the room at 6pm. And I told her "nope as we were about to get dressed at 6:10pm, and you made us wait for 30 minutes." She then agreed $30 is okay. We are generous tippers when it comes to massage if we feel the masseuse worked hard for it. But we were disappointed on the service from this business. If you'll ask me, just avoid this business. read more

More like jack hammer than deep tissue. Worst massage I ever had. The male therapist wouldn't listen when I told him to go slower and not so much pressure. He actually seemed angry and aggressive. His negative energy was all he transferred. It didn't seem to know what he was doing. And was just beating on my body like a jack hammer. This place was awful. After getting my massage, I came here to write a review. And noticed that there are a number of reviews complaining about the male therapist. He was rough and unpolished. I think he may have actually injured my neck. I might try again with one of the females. But it's also terrible with the language barrier. I didn't realize that this was a Chinese massage place until after I arrived. All of the Chinese massage places tend to be too fast. But I have never had my body handled so roughly. Like literally throwing my arm off of the table. And using his forearm and elbows the entire time. Using the forearm is horrible. I can get that with a massage chair. I pay a human because I want them to use their hands. I get sometimes you have to use an elbow. But this whole thing was awful!!! I really didn't want to pay. I did leave a small tip because I think this guy though he was doing a great job. But I told him at 10 times to slow down and not use so much pressure. Either he didn't listen or he didn't understand. He kept telling me to relax. How can I relax when you're beating on me with absolutely no rhyme or reason. Mine - female masseuse, good technique and generally good pressure, though a few techniques were different (neck massage) Hers - male masseuse, bad pressure throughout and way too hard even though she told him around 30 times 'too hard' - bad technique (she said it felt like a back rub with no massage technique) If going, suggest asking for a female masseuse. read more

Came up for the week to Flagstaff for a nice vacation. Wanted a massage for a friend and myself. Website stated $60/ hr for 1 hr massage, but when you arrive , it is $70/ hr. Not a a big difference, but mentioned the price difference , but did not comprehend. Once massage started, I don't believe there were choices of what type of massage you got. I had a man and I was not very happy with his massage. we got done 40 minutes later than expected, we waited over 15 minutes on the table. then probably over ten minutes of my massage consisted of him vigorously shaking me, pushing me back and forth hard. it was a very uncomfortable massage technique. I tipped the lady on my way out and she said "no no too little." In shock that she had the audacity to say that instead of "thank you" she demanded MORE for a TIP. For one, in America tips are a gracious gift, not a wage. My tip was my way of thanking her and I did not have to leave one at all! If they demand a higher tip, it should be added onto the initial massage fee. They have it completely confused in America. My masseuse was good... but there were so many issues that I didn't enjoy myself, can't possibly give any more stars, and won't go back unless a lot of things change. Here were my issues - 1. If you pay with a card there, there is a $5 charge! They say it's from your bank but I don't think it matters - the business needs to find a way to get around that charge just like every other business. When I scoffed at the charge, she told me to walk up to CVS (just a minute away) and use their ATM. I did that - cutting into my massage time - only to find that THAT ATM charges me $3! Later, I got another $2.50 fee from my bank in addition to the ATM charge, so I ended up paying even more than the original $5. I feel this card-charge is something they should share with every single person over the phone before they come in for their appointment - I easily could have stopped for cash! Failing that, they certainly shouldn't recommend that you walk to CVS without mentioning that you'll still be charged a minimum of $3 there plus your bank's fees later! 2. They have you pay - and tip! - before receiving your service. This is awkward and just not how it should be. For a bad massage, I will tip 18%. For a good massage, 20%. For an excellent massage, 25%. I chose 20% since I couldn't possibly know. We should be allowed to pay and tip once we know the quality of the service! 3. My masseuse didn't ask if I needed to use the bathroom before my massage. 4. They covered me with only a (small, not soft) towel. This was problematic on so many levels. My feet were never covered at all and they were FREEZING the whole time. Also, the towels are small and I am a large person (~200 pounds). I felt really exposed and uncomfortable the whole time, and sort of vaguely cold all over. What reason in the world could there be for not using light blankets as I've had in every other massage in my whole life? 5. Two employees came in to the building while I was getting my massage and both talked very loudly, seemingly unconcerned with this being a place of relaxation. On two occasions, they actually spoke through the door to my massage therapist who RESPONDED TO THEM through the door while massaging me. All of this was distracting and unprofessional. 6. My masseuse left the room 4 times - 2 times were to get hot towels and stones (this is fine) and 2 times to go speak to one of the employees that walked in (absolutely not fine!!!). Even worse, on every single occasion that she left my room, she LEFT THE DOOR OPEN!! She knocked it to nearly-closed, but didn't latch it. Especially knowing that there was another person right outside the door, and being barely covered at all by this thin towel, I felt incredibly uncomfortable. At the end of our massage, when she left the room, she STILL didn't latch the door! I had to stand up quickly and try to wrap my towel around me and then close the door fully myself. 7. I lost a few minutes in the beginning of my massage because of the CVS/ATM trip. Then my massage ended 4 minutes early. Losing 10 minutes on a massage really matters. There's a reason you pay by the minute. I like a lot of pressure, and I think my masseuse was tired, but that's not how it works! All in all, I went to this place because it was a little bit cheaper than other places. But in the end, I got 10 minutes less for my money, and spent $5.50 on ATM fees so I don't feel like I ended up paying the same price for a less formal service. Even though my massage itself was good and my masseuse was really dedicated and friendly and gave good pressure, I wasn't able to really enjoy myself because all of these issues. If all of this stuff changed, I'd go back. Until then, I'd rather spend the wasted ATM fees on giving a bigger tip to my masseuse, and to feel warm and relaxed during my massage. read more

So I called back to speak to someone today. Yelp listing says Yiz owns the place and Yiz also responded to my review. See thier response to the review below by christie a few months back. Yiz replies that they don't ask for tip upfront but then replies to me that they do ask for it upfront. So when I asked today for Yiz, the person who answered the phone says they dont know who Yiz is. I really want to be s good customer and work with a business which is why I tried to call back to talk about how uncomfortable I felt after the woman got aggressive with me giving her a tip and then getting upset when I asked could I do it afterwards. I wanted to let them know that just that simple interaction turned me off from the place. Why would I want someone touching my body who has negative energy. When I told them about the negative energy they responded with " Sir we are not doctors we can't help you with energy". I really am beginning to think this place is not legit and that "massage therapist" probably doesn't know how to give a proper massage. If she does its probably terrible. And to the owner... leaving responses to customer bad reviews does not solve having bad service. CHANGE YOUR WAYS!!! Thats why I tried to call and talk it out. Total failure in my eyes.
