Turns out Jax had aggressive cancer in his intenstines and lymph nodes not operable. Shockingly we had to put him down at shy of his 8 year birthday. The Vet on call that night (I wish I had his name) and the girls on staff were unbelievably compassionate, caring, and consoling. Going thru the process of putting down your pet when that wasnt in the plans is gutwrenching... Being with Jax thru the process was heartbreaking but also a Blessing.. We brought our puppy to this clinic and he was diagnosed with meningitis…read moreback in November Dr Dopkins did not run any testing or blood work, he quickly diagnosed my puppy with meningitis. He was placed on long-term steroid treatment. After spending approximately $1,500 and keeping my puppy on steroids for close to 3 months. Dr Dobsom wanted my puppy on another month of steroids. My puppy got sick again this past Saturday with a 105 degree temperature. We rushed him the ER (AESC ) A second opinion was determined that the original diagnosis was incorrect and that our puppy should not have been on steroids for this length of time. This experience has been extremely concerning--not only due to the financial cost, but because prolonged, unnecessary steroid use can have serious health consequences. We trusted this clinic with our pet's care and feel that the misdiagnosis led to avoidable treatment and stress. I strongly encourage pet owners to seek a second opinion if faced with a serious diagnosis and long-term medication plan.

They offer a cancellation window up to 4 hours before your appointment and allow you to carry over your deposit to when you reschedule, with no extra fee. So thankful for this understanding. The cost may feel steep, but the in-home service is so so worth it. Iverson had his last meal while the pain meds were administered. It was a distraction where he didn't even notice. He felt safe and comfortable in his home, surrounded by family and on his favorite couch. He was then given a sedation medicine where he drifted into a nap on my chest. When the final medicine was given, he felt no pain as he crossed the rainbow bridge. I have heard horror stories from other in home service companies. I had 3 friends use Caring Pathways and that is why we went with them. I am so grateful and thankful that we chose to work with Caring Pathways. It helps with acceptance and closure and provides a peaceful passing. I will forever recommend them to other family and friends who need to say goodbye to a family pet member.

I got here and ended up waiting TWO HOURS in a windowless exam room to see the vet who examined my dog for a whole FOUR Minutes (I had my iPhone timer on) which cost me the $99 exam fee. They also wanted to bandage the foot which they would charge another $75 for (!!!!!) -- like maybe you should just bandage the torn toenail as part of the $99 since the "exam" took 4 minutes???? And they charged $65 for 3 pills of carprofren and 7 pills of an antibiotic-- that's right, $65 for 10 pills. My dog has gotten multiple surgeries in the past and been on both those meds a ton and we've never paid more than $15 anywhere else! It is egregious The ladies are nice but saying over and over again "you're next" or "there are only two in front of you" for over 2 hours is infuriating to hear. Unless your dog's actually dying and you have NO other choices, do not come here to get overcharged and wait forever.
