The current "Pet Palace Veteranary Clinic" is a poorly administratorated, not at all funny joke. I have technically taken my Spanky boy there 2 times. Yesterday 2/11/26 I had an online appointment set for 3:30 p.m., but received an email confirmation for 9:00 a.m. with a designation to call when I arrived and wait outside until asked to come in because Spanky had a cough, understandable but the receptionist didn't ask what kind of vehicle I was in, to be able to find me? There was one other patient in the waiting room. I need to clarify something here that really bothered about both visits, the receptionist was on a cell phone continuously, both appointments. I could give her the benefit of doubt that the calls were about Veteranary business but I am 99% sure they were not. On my first visit there while I was in the waiting room I could clearly tell she was on social calls because of the sound of the conversations, occasionally another phone would ring and she would put the cell she was talking on down and answer the other call with a drool sounding name if the business and a quickly as possible go back to her other call. I could go on a much longer summary of her unprofessionalism and the poor care that my dog received but that would be pointless. Yesterday I waited and finally walked back up to the entry point of the door to tell her that I was canceling the appointment, and she seemed as if I had disturbed her conversation and did not want to even acknowledge me. I finally with a loader tone in my voice was able to tell her that I was canceling my appointment and not rescheduling it. She indignantly ask me why not, I simply told her I had already made a very satisfying appointment with a Veteranary service that I used to take my Shih-Poo to before. I was able to drive less than ten minutes away and my dog was seen right away with polite competent staff, with an assurance/diagnosis that I felt very good about, and I was not charged an extra fee for using my debit card! Received an email from them before the beginning of the year they were raising their prices so I emailed back to get appointments never heard back had to go in twice to make appointments with the raisin prices plus the extra 3% on debit or credit cards. I guess they expect you to carry cash thousands of dollars of cash for that matter in your pocket. read more

When my first pug was ill, he took her to his home for a few days to personally view her condition, he saved her life. my second Pug shattered her femur head at 9 weeks and he saved her ability to walk. when my Dobie brought home a parasite that affected my 3 dogs & 4 cats, he kept my sickest cat in his clinic for a week on a feeding tube & barely charged me for it. He was the best vet I ever dealt with. i think he cares for animals so much, sometimes he seems gruff, because he wants people to vaccinate their pets on time. often because of finance, I lapsed in my timely vaccinations & he came down hard on me. Philip haas was found guilty of negligence by the Colorado veterinary board. Philip haas was negligent with my cat and his actions resulted in my cats death. He failed to treat and properly test my cat. My cat had a blood sugar of 600+ and all Phillip haas did was give him lactated ringers. I had to wait all day when I dropped my boy off in the morning to get my boy back. My cats labs resulted in the afternoon and were read but Philip haas neglected to do blood sugar checks and provide insulin to my cat until they allowed me to get him. My cat ended up in the hospital shortly after due to his actions. They also withheld both of my cats medical records from me and Philip haas refused to give me my deceased cats records for months when it is illegal to do so. DO NOT TAKE YOUR ANIMAL HERE THEY WILL NOT TREAT THEM WITH CARE THEY WILL NOT ADVISE YOU OF RESULTS PROPERLY AND THEY WILL NEGLECT YOUR ANIMAL. read more

Oh yikes. I'm hesitant to leave reviews these days especially with the labor shortages and overall life hardships; but oh my goodness. I had a 4:30 appointment for a nail trim and gland expression. My dog was FINALLY seen at 5:03. The nurse that took him back looked HIGH. She could hardly walk or move and slurred her speech. I could then hear her yelling my dog to STOP. STOP IT, and basically yelling at my dog when they just PLOPPED him on the table and didn't even have any proper leash or tie up. She ended up cutting the quick. The entire service was shitty and my dog won't stop licking his paws. Do NOT go to this vet clinic for anything, even a simple nail trim. Pathetic. read more

This place is crazy, do not take your pets there. I took my dog for a anal gland that burst but when I got him back, they decided to shave his face and back of his head. I have no idea why they did that and he told me to shave his face before and I told him no, so he decided to do it on his own. This Vet is very unfriendly and unprofessional. The prices online at chewy.com and at petco and petsmart are way cheaper but they refuse to match prices just to make a sale and to get/keep a customer. When you ask or make a comment about the price they get very rude to the point of telling you if you don't like there prices then go some where else. If you don't mind paying way way to much for services and your pets food then by all means please shop here. HORRIBLE BED SIDE MANNERS... we had our dog put to sleep and chose this clinic. They were inconsiderate and rude. They threw around my dog in front of my kids, they asked for payment while giving my dog medications, they never gave us a chance to say good bye they just took a giant syringe and shoved it in her... then had the audacity to stare at us as I held my kids, they wanted us gone and made us uncomfortable and we just wanted to be with our pup for a moment. Here's the best part.... We were masked the entire time. (Except the staff most of the time) my group ALL caught Covid from being in this mask free environment. We only took off our masks to blow our noses but honestly because this clinic/store not only promotes this behavior and doesn't wear masks at all, I'm certain this is where they obtained the new strain of the virus. I'd avoid this store/clinic at all costs!!!!! So be extra careful at this store cuz they're unforgiving , and completely in the wrong when it comes to their mask policy!!! read more

I love Dr. Haas and his staff! I've been taking Sammy (Multipoo) here for the last few years to get his shots/annual checkups. Last year, they also helped Sammy when his petella became loose. The staff squeezed him in & calmed me down. Their day was very busy, but Dr. Haas took the necessary time to check him out and popped it back in place. In addition, I was able to walk-in last Saturday & get Sammy's shots and a check up with a minimal wait and paid reasonable prices. All the staff is caring. Dr. Haas is a bottom line type person, but he loves what he does and he's excellent at it! I highly recommend him and his staff! He's trustworthy and he gets the job done!!! read more

Dr. Haas will tell you like it is and never try to sell you something you don't need - which is so appreciated. After my dog had a reaction to her routine vacc - I called after hours to get help and the staff was still there to assist. My Doberman got staples from Dr G a few days ago. They fell out, per instructions he told me to come back when that happens. Google has their hours listed for them to open on Saturdays at 9am. I show up at 915, have to use the back entrance, broken glass all by entrance. They immediately tell me to wait outside, no greeting, nothing. Three different people come out asking for my last name, finally telling me they're busy and to wait outside, they have an entire waiting room that's empty, but instead somehow it makes sense for me to stand outside in the back alley with my dog who has an open wound on his leg. I walk to my car, there is another customer confused by the front entrance holding his sick dog, I WATCH someone from the hospital staff walk right past him with his shades on to go grab his food, no greeting, no instructions on where to take his visibly sick dog. They have a great store and I won't take anything from that, but in regards to their veterinary staff...I'll never go back here again. read more

If I could give this place less stars I would. I brought my puppy there this week for an initial visit after being a shelter dog. This place was DISGUSTING. Hair all over the floor, dirty counter, dirtier examination table. To start. This is a walk in clinic, where they let people cut in front of you. So if you have a puppy that cannot sir still for an hour and a half I'd take your business elsewhere. The guy at the front desk was very rude and added in all his vaccines that I never gave them? So how would they know if he was missing one...the doctor was just as rude. Answered no questions and did nothing more than take his temperature. I took him to a better vet today and is now being treated for kennel cough and de-worming that would have never been caught if I didn't go somewhere better. read more

Dr. Hass is a miserable human being. His bedside manner is atrocious. The utter disrespect and rudeness he showed me was nothing short of unbelievable. I took my cat and dog in for a simple travel health certificate and ended up leaving without my dog check up because I wanted absolutely nothing more to do with this guy. My cat had already had his exam so I had no choice. He treated his staff rudely as well. I sat stunned for a minute as I have been in the health profession for over 20 years and have never been this rude to a patient nor have I ever seen any colleague act this way. Don't make the same mistake I did. Taking your animal to the vet is already somewhat stressful and this jerk intensified that 10 fold. I will give props to the nice blonde girl up front. I feel sorry for her and the hostile work environment she is in. read more

I've been to Pet Palace twice now. I'm surprised at the really bad reviews. The staff is caring but they don't waste a lot of time. Neither does Dr. Hass, he is a Doctor and has that personality. I'm pleased that he doesn't try to oversell and is not pushy. He's not big on small talk & might not the the most jovial vet but he gets the job done and at reasonable prices. We had an emergency last week, they got us right in and took care of the problem. I was offered X-rays if I wanted, just mentioned it no hard sell. I decided to do it and it put my mind at ease. The X-rays would have been more money elsewhere. read more

Took my boys for here a dental cleaning. Dropped them off early for standard procedure and check in. Very nice people and vet. Dr. Hass and his assistant cleaned them pearlies squeaky clean. He also checked on my boys' well being; he also addressed the concerns and was mindful of my pups the entire time. Dr. Hass is very caring and loves his job. I brought my dog here because a family member said they had good prices & we're new to the area. She was not up to date on her shots so the Vet gave her what was needed without guilt tripping me over why it's been so long. Instead, he got us on the right track & scheduled her heart worm test for spring. I read horrible google reviews about the Vet's personality so I went in expecting anything. He calls you, does his job & gets on to the next pet in line. He took his time to answer my questions but kept it at that, which I'm okay without the small talk since this IS a walk in clinic with the exception of surgeries. He didn't try to sell me a bunch of stuff. Things I thought my dog needed he said she wouldn't need for another few years. He could've told me I needed it & ripped me off but didn't. The Vet we take our cats to was wanting $110+ with an exam & vaccines for our dog but I walked out paying $55 at Pet Palace Vet & I'll be back. read more

Dr. Haas is the best!!! Walk-ins only after 2:00, but they are quick and inexpensive. I have 2 dogs and a cat, so I am here a lot. Pets have had surgeries, all which have healed beautifully. Everyone that works in this place is rude as hell. Rather than explaining WHY the price of my dying dog's medication keeps doubling, the kid behind the counter just wanted to argue with me about it. They almost didn't even do the refill for the medications because he's ONE month past due for his rabies shot. The poor dog is dying and they've taken all but 3 of his teeth. Who is he going to bite?! He's literally going to be going any day now and we're just trying to make his last little bit of life not a absolutely miserable. The pills HARDLY work anyway, but they help a tiny bit. There's a thing called discretion, doc. I know the law says he has to have it, but cmon. All this place cares about is money. It's sad. I cannot say enough good things about Pet Palace. My cat had a parasite, kidney infection and thyroid disease and they got him back healthy and treated both of us incredibly well. Dakota, my pet, had to stay overnight and when I came to visit him, they took a little yapping dog away, brought me a chair and left us in a private area with the door closed. The doctor was incredibly thorough and in reviews someone said he was rude and I found that he is just very intelligent and straight to the point. When I took Dakota home the doctor actually called my home to check in on him and then again a few days later. I had to call a few times with medication questions and the girls on staff were so kind and patient. It was a very stressful and scary experience having my cat so ill and they were just wonderful. I would recommend them to anyone. I also bought a cat carrier through the pet store up front, and they were terrific as well. read more

Just took our 4.5 month old boxer in on Friday 8/7/20 to get spayed and then she came home immediately and projectile vomited and pooped all over our floor. No big deal she just got out of surgery. Well I called the vet immediately because we found big chunk of plastic in her poop and vomit. 1 piece was about the size of a half dollar coin. I brought this up to the vet and they denied it was from them. So tell me this. How does a 4.5 month old boxer swallow a round medium thickness half dollar sized piece of plastic withOUT CHOKING?!? Does't happen. We looked around our apartment and there was nothing she could have gotten into. She now has a very irritated and swollen anus. Took her back yesterday and I was ignored about what she was going thru. Including the plastic pieces. They left something in my puppy during surgery. She was perfectly normal and healthy beforehand and going to the bathroom on a regular basis. DO NOT take your family loved one to this place. We are switching vets for her safety and care. We also wait at least 1.5 hours after our scheduled appointment time every time we are there. This is bullshit. This vet clinic is a joke. The veterinarians have TERRIBLE bedside manners with the animals. I repeat, do NOT take your family loved ones to this vet. If I could rate it 0 out of 5 I would. read more

They are amazing. If you are looking for a vet who actually cares more about your animal than does their pay check this is the place to go. My 3 year old cat had crystals in his bladder and was unable to pee. I took him and they kept him for a couple days. With all the antibiotics, fluid, urinalysis and the medicated food prescribed (wet and dry) they only charges me $286 and if anyone has had to go to an emergency vet, they know that this is a killer price. Anyways, after a couple days my cat was still straining even though he was eating and drinking and taking his meds. We brought him back again and they kept him for 3 more days with the same treatments. After 3 days, they only charged me $125. Can you believe it?! Totally amazing. The staff is great, very very reasonably priced and the store is awesome. You get to see all the kitties and dogs hang out around the store and everything. If I could give zero stars I would. We took our 10 year old jack Russell in to get a cough diagnosed. They ended up having to do gum surgery/tooth extraction bc of advanced periodontal disease. I called a few hours after surgery and could hear Bosco barking loudly in the background so they told me he was too wound up and I could come get him. We were told before the surgery that we would be sent home with pain medicine for him and they sent nothing. That night Bosco wouldn't stop panting and pacing and whining. We called an emergency vet hotline and they were astonished that they hadn't given him pain meds for post op recovery and stated his had probably worn off and he was in severe pain. We tried all night get to calm him down but he ended up getting so worked up that he had a heart attack and passed. We brought him back to the vet to see what had gone wrong, questioned them on not giving us pain medicine for him and asked for an autopsy. They denied that his passing was bc of any lacking on their part, refused the autopsy and simply told us that they'd cremate him for free. As if that wasn't bad enough, when they did get his ashes back we had to call them after so much time had passed bc they had gotten them back and misplaced them. ALSO we had told them before bringing Bosco in that he didn't do well around strange dogs he didn't know or cats and there were 3 cats in the examination and a dog under the table.....we will never take another pet here and have to wonder every day that had we picked a better bet if Bosco would still be alive and with us. If your pet ever needs dental surgery, DO NOT TAKE THEM HERE. I highly recommend Smoky Hill Vet Clinic, see my review there to see how drastically different our pets were treated! In response to Dr. Haas comment, I specifically asked about pain medicine when we picked bosco up that day and was told he wouldn't be getting anything besides what they gave him directly after the surgery. Before the surgery, you yourself Dr. Haas said he would be sent home with pain medicine and antibiotics, but your front desk person told me otherwise when we came to get him. read more
