We rushed him over, I think we were fortunate that night didn't have a lot of other animals coming in and were quickly taken to a room, as they took our cat back for initial observation. We waited roughly 30 minutes in that room until the head veterinarian that night came in to give us her diagnosis along with two separate treatment plans each with a different costs. Let's get this out of the way, medical care and treatment is expensive for humans and animals. Most negative reviews of this location mention issues with cost. A routine annual wellness exam alone at my primary provider is around $150 for roughly 5 minutes of my vets actual time. Now imagine around the clock care cost and a list of medications that can quickly add up. I highly recommend looking into pet insurance or saving as much as possible to get your animals the treatment they need to save their lives. The staff all were extremely attentive, understanding, and honest. The vets answered our every question and made sure we had ample updates. I can't imagine the toughness they need with some of the cases they see daily. They are nice people who deal with so much so please have some compassion for them as well. If you're a staff member reading this, thank you for saving our Miso . In summary, I hope to never have to come here again because it means one of our fur babies are in a bad spot medically but I know they will do everything they can to get them better.

Most recently we called vca when we found our dog with white gums and they handled the situation with such speed and care. As soon as we arrived they took her straight back I would absolutely trust your pets with these vets, they are knowledgeable and were not afraid to tell us to go somewhere else when they weren't able to offer the surgery we needed. It is clean, well located, and full of knowledgeable compassionate vets. They are open 24/7 for emergencies I believe however their pricing increases after normal business hours as a heads up.

This is the LAST STRAW, and potentially a FATAL one, at that. We have been suspecting lymphoma for our dog and it has been 3.5+ weeks since we started this discovery process and we had to follow up several times to get work up done, get results and 4 procedures later, we still do not know for sure. Doctors don't reply to emails and results are not communicated timely, even after follow ups. There is a huge back office issue in continuity of care. We've raised this so many times and it just keeps happening. It boils down to POOR MANAGEMENT. There is no sense of urgency. His illness could be aggressive and this 3+ week delay could be a MATTER OF LIFE AND DEATH. We are at week 4, and we are moving to another vet office and still have not done any definitive treatment! We've been encountering a lot of back office issues with them for 3+ years and THIS IS THE LAST STRAW. WE ARE SO UPSET because this is not how you run a medical practice! The owner also cannot be bothered to check-in nor investigate. Just STAY AWAY. This is literally the worst VET office we've worked with. Absolutely TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE. They have also poked and prodded our dog more than necessary. We also run a medical clinic. This is NOT how you run one. It is safe to say that they clearly just want you to keep paying more and more. I can't say "TERRIBLE" enough. Save yourself the heartache and stress and stay away. We are pulling all 3 dogs from this incompetent office. The cherry on top is they even botched sending over our records to the new practice, thrice. We had to ask twice and The receiving practice had to contact them again just today since they sent it incorrectly. They're consistent with their errors. That's for sure. IF YOU LOVE YOUR DOGS, SAVE THEM, BY NOT GOING TO THIS NEGLIGENT PRACTICE ______ Previous review Very expensive compared to most clinics I've been with ---by a LOT. I usually don't mind spending on my pets because they are my world (!), but the prices are too much and they keep upselling you on non-essential services. I don't feel like they are looking out for dog owners and keeping expenses reasonable. They offer every test, every supplement, or procedure instead of providing practical guidance to avoid unnecessary expenses. The staff are great and extremely caring with dogs. I have mixed feelings because I usually spend on average, between $200-$600 per visit here! .

Their staff, across the board, greeted us with only compassion and kindness. Kerry M. was our vet and she walked us through every step, educated us, was patient, and was so kind to Iverson and us. I had to cancel the first appointment because I was not ready to say goodbye. They offer a cancellation window up to 4 hours before your appointment and allow you to carry over your deposit to when you reschedule, with no extra fee. So thankful for this understanding. The cost may feel steep, but the in-home service is so so worth it. Iverson had his last meal while the pain meds were administered. It was a distraction where he didn't even notice. He felt safe and comfortable in his home, surrounded by family and on his favorite couch. He was then given a sedation medicine where he drifted into a nap on my chest. When the final medicine was given, he felt no pain as he crossed the rainbow bridge. I have heard horror stories from other in home service companies. I had 3 friends use Caring Pathways and that is why we went with them. I am so grateful and thankful that we chose to work with Caring Pathways. It helps with acceptance and closure and provides a peaceful passing. I will forever recommend them to other family and friends who need to say goodbye to a family pet member.

To me, this was worth the higher price you pay- rather than going to the vet to do this.

My current dog, Mama, is a 140-pound Bullmastiff rescue from a puppy mill. She recently came in for an ear infection and wedged herself under my chair in the lobby like she was trying to disappear. Naturally, she got stuck. Vida handled her calmly and competently, with no drama. They called between visits to check on her and didn't charge for the follow-up. That is what I've come to appreciate. When Mama once refused to get out of the car for vaccinations, the vet came outside and treated her while she crouched in the passenger footwell. When Anja, my independent white shepherd, needed coaxing, they worked with her temperament. Peanut butter helped. When Roger, my stoic pandemic dog, developed cancer, they explained the tradeoffs between extending his life and protecting his quality of life. I never felt pressured or rushed. And when Churro, my starved Bullmastiff rescue, reached the end, they were exceptional. He was taller than Mama, only 90 pounds, aggressive, complicated, and dying from cirrhosis of the liver. They didn't judge him or flinch. They gave him dignity, and they gave me space to cry and say goodbye. Vida is clean, organized, responsive, easy to schedule online, and transparent about costs. They are not cheap. But that's the price of unconditional love. The front desk is usually efficient and welcoming, though one recent visit felt more abrupt than usual. I would recommend Vida without hesitation, especially for large, complicated, and deeply loved dogs. They know how to take care of our fur babies as well as the person attached to them.

I trust them to give me credible information and to thoroughly assess my pet's needs. They have great systems and availability and are willing to get you in on short notice. They keep great records and follow up after treatments and go the extra mile. They helped us with our Lucy as she neared end of life and were incredibly compassionate and even affordable. My only singular frustration is that I feel like I'm being upsold something every time I go in. Always something else to increase the bill. They may not see it like that but it never fails that there is some sort of upsell or extra need. Never once have they said, hey your pet is doing great and nothing more is needed. Heart worm treatments. Teeth cleaning. Dog food. Extra this, extra that. I really struggle with this.
