On April 10th, 2024 at 10:24 am I was at home and in possession of my credit card when I was the victim of fraud-- someone fraudulently charged the amount of $1360.80 to it; allegedly purchasing something from Best Manufacturing Inc in Glendale. I happened to notice the receipt of this payment in my spam emails, and the invoice charged "me" for a quantity of 1 "manufacturing." First of all, I never made this purchase and there is ZERO chance that I did, and secondly, what is buying a manufacturing? I noticed whoever submitted this invoice had my home address, email and card info in this email sent to me, so I checked my transactions on my Bank of America card and the charge was processing. I locked my card and called Bank of America to open a fraud claim, where they put a temporary credit on my account while they investigated. I tried to look up this business online and they have NO WORKING WEBSITE OR PHONE NUMBER (the number listed doesn't work-- (623) 842-3000 , as well as no recent reviews. On May 2nd, the full amount was put back onto my card and Bank of America told me they were unable to approve my claim because "the merchant provided documentation confirming I received the merchandise or service." I didn't notice until the bank was already closed for the weekend. I called Bank of America today, May 6th, to open the claim again, which they are investigating again. However, I decided to try and take a drive over to the "registered address" online for Best Manufacturing, 6880 W Orangewood Ave # 5, Glendale, AZ 85303. This business is not located there, and according to the neighbor, the former owner of Best, Tom Tanner, sold the building exactly 1 year ago. I checked the address on the invoice again and Best Manufacturing Inc, a sheet metal manufacturer, is supposedly based in a house at the address of 6633 W Sierra St Glendale, AZ 85304-3144. I don't see how it's possible to manufacture sheet metal from there. Also, I checked the Secretary of State website, and it says that Best Manufacturing as an entity run by Tom Tanner in Maricopa County is INACTIVE; meaning their business license isn't active. This amount is over $1000 and constitutes felony theft in Arizona. I have been held responsible by my bank for these clearly false and fraudulent charges, thanks to whoever at Best Manufacturing sent this invoice for items and services that I never ordered or received. I have already filed a police report about this, and will be taking further legal action if necessary. There is now an active police report against Best Manufacturing and Tom Tanner the owner for identity theft and felony credit card fraud. I am pursuing legal action since Tom is a scammer who is set on stealing $1360.80 from myself who is an independent musician with NO NEED FOR SHEET METAL EVER I am attaching photos that prove all of my statements to be true.
