Go here…read more I recently bought an old steel bike frame with a very poor repair to one of the joints: there was barely any metal holding the joint together, and there was a hole melted in one of the tubes. I was concerned that it'd be hard to get the joint properly repaired, and/or prohibitively expensive. I stopped by Custom Metal Manufacturing around opening time. The workshop is a treasure trove: minibikes, custom signs, and sculptures everywhere. Ed and Gerard were super friendly and great storytellers. Ed looked at the frame, said "I can fix that", and fired up his welding gear right away. Ten minutes of good conversation later the work was done, and at a very reasonable price. The joint is now reinforced with ample steel, and the hole is closed up. Everything I hoped for and more.

Later on, he came out to measure multiple times--before and after the floors were down--to make sure everything was perfect. He matched the wood to our floor in to help create a seamless look. He was super careful when he installed them not to damage any of the new construction. Everything came out perfectly. The glass railings look beautiful and well worth the investment. They helped us make design decisions that worked out very well and helped us figure out how to transport the planters which at their size was a deal itself. Discovered Sanford last year at the last minute, as previous Google searches of metal processors…read morearound the area didn't yield this firm until it suddenly showed up by chance. And since a few other metal processors had turned down my job orders, I decided to try this one. So good, so efficient, there's no turning back. They require customers to submit a detailed quote (complete with special instructions and such) which is why I get to know my submitted parts better prior to the job. And once at location everything goes quite smoothly (they vetted me down to the smallest detail multiple times, but that's important). Overall lead time is slightly longer than expected due to their running on full schedule at most times, but I was able to pick up the parts by my deadline and overall the results are excellent without fault. The pricing is also appropriate (although I still have to pony up the upper $300s). My first and second job orders with Sanford were on flashlight parts reanodize (HA3). The first job back in 2018 resulted in no issues upon pickup. The second job in 2019 however resulted in a few minor issues, which were diagnosed in no time and subsequently resolved in just two days. This perhaps is how a company retains a customer for a long-term relationship, and I'll be more than happy to oblige in the long run. Despite the listed early closing hours Sanford does close late sometimes during weekdays due to increased workflow. So for those who need to do a late drop off (or pick up), call them up in advance for special arrangement. My other advice is, as a customer, it's necessary to know your parts and the intended treatment process in a decent manner. Do ask them questions and the staff should be able to address them in more detail.

But again this is no fault of Ben, Ben did an amazing job on my wheels I even had some curb rash damage and it seems like he went above and beyond to correct it because I can't feel the damage anymore on the wheel not sure if he uses some sort of filler before coating but man the wheels look AMAZING!!! The crew worked with me to make sure the handrail was at the right height and even installed an additional support bracket when I requested it. They had all the equipment to create a custom handrail on-site. When I approved the fabrication, they removed it, painted it, then re-installed it.
