If you have mail to send, prepare yourself for the worst experience of your day. The two store employees, an older lady and a younger, that work the retail post office location here are an absolute nightmare. Rude, nasty, and annoyed if you want them to like, do their job. I've been sending prepaid packages here more months. I have never been anything but nice. Consistently both of these women are just plain nasty. And without fail, usually when I arrive, no other customers are there, and they drag their feet and roll their eyes while coming over to assist. From day one it's been a battle to get a receipt for packages and it's only getting worse. I bring in small padded mailers, under 6 inches long, once or twice a week. At most, I bring in 5 st a time but usually it is one or two. All I need is it weighed, scanned, and a receipt. I have no idea what the problem is but these women fight tooth and nail to not give a receipt. My favorite was the last time I was in and the woman sighed, rolled her eyes and held up my package and lectured me like I'm stupid that the tracking number is printed on the label and thus I don't need a receipt. Even when I calmly explained no, I still need one, she fought me. I was close to making a scene and demanding a manager but since I used to work in retail and I know how much it sucks I decided, no. She gets one more chance. Well. Shame on me. My father took in a single small package today and she was nasty to him, fought him for five minutes and then promptly dismissed him. He had to get a manager. What is the problem?? I have never been rude. I even did nicely call the store a few weeks ago and was told 1. No, there is no store policy stating they can't give receipts and 2. That they would address it. Well. One of the two employees stopped fighting after this but the other? Nope. Mean and condescending and completely rude. Why do people need receipts? 1. Many online retailers like ebay and mercari need proof of shipping when settling disputes. A receipt helps, a lot. 2. Some are starting to hold release of funds until an item is scanned, so getting a receipt ensures that it isn't missed or forgotten. 3. Sometimes home printers malfunction and the item doesn't scan well. 4. It's US mail and mistakes happen and I want to be positive it was dropped off and scanned that day. There are many stories of people dropping off without a scan having endless issues with no tracking updates, etc. I am done being nice. I work so I can't always make the post office so yeah, I come here occasionally to take advantage of them being open until 6. I shouldn't have to be having major anxiety over how nasty they will be and how much I will have to argue to get a receipt. The next time, and every time, I get rudeness or push back, I'm calling a manager. How the hell these people still have customer facing jobs I will never know. And hilariously, it's not just me. They have a horrid reputation with the local post offices ( i have asked) and I have met several other people with the same issue. We all dread having to drop off packages. No one has done anything except ask these ladies for a receipt. Nicely. Which takes like ten seconds. If they were busy and I was bringing a stack of 30, fine. Fair enough. If they were so busy they couldn't stop, maybe. But nope. They are aways standing around doing nothing when I show up, rolling their eyes and acting like spoiled, immature teenagers. What's the problem, Weis? Maybe its time to rethink post office staffing. Or maybe you just shouldn't have anyone accepting US mail if this is how it is going to be done. Avoid like the plague if you can. If you have to ship, may the odds be ever in your favor. read more

This Weis on Roosevelt Ave has horrible customer service. I went in to pick up a few item and when I went to check out through the self checkout service my light started blinking for the cashier to come over. I stood there for about 10 minutes waiting on the 1 person they had for customer service and watching the self checkout lines. So while waiting for her to come over there where 6 other checkout waiting also 2 cashier and 4 self checkout lines lights where blinking. Now this is where I feel as though I was discriminated against. The customer service lady came to only the caucasian customer which was 3 lines then went back to her customer service center. Without helping out the people of color lines. The one Caucasian was near me but she did. Not help me or the other people of color. At this point I was very upset because even if you are the only one that is working customer service and watching the cashier you should practice good customer service skills all you had to do was acknowledge the rest of us to let us know you will get to us ASAP or even see us that what a good customer service employee does. but of course she didn't she went on like we was not there. I waited for about 20 minutes still no help with the checkout of my items. So I had no choice but to leave everything right there. This Weis need to train there staff on excellent customer service skills because they have non. I will never shop there again I'm giving giant my business I rather pay a little extra and get good customer service experience then having to deal with raciest people. Like really disappointed I will not tolerated this type of behavior and Weis think I'm going to spend my money there no not in this lifetime. Not surprised with several reviews regarding customer service being terrible. The older women at the Post Office counter and even the customer service counter need an attitude adjustment or moved somewhere where they don't deal with the public The lady at the PO counter seemed irritated by me merely asking for a receipt and changing the service after finding out the cost on what I was shipping. This is part of your job. if your older employees (Karen's) are so miserable they should leave and let someone else who is willing to do the job take the job. I'm 68 yrs old and have heard people say older people are grouchy and you are proving them right and giving us more pleasant older people a bad reputation. I have been coming here for several years - I used to leave about 3 or 4 miles away in North York Borough. I like the fact that they were one of the first places with a reverse osmosis water dispenser on the outside of the store. It used to be only 25cents a gallon so when I wanted to homebrew a 5 gallon batch instead of spending 5 bucks I would get 6 gallons for $1.50. I pulled in to this store last night for 2 items - fish and milk and noticed the store manager making some adjustments to the entrance with his assistant. I walked back through the pharmacy area and read a few pages of guitar world first and then meandered over to the fish dept. I chose to grab some frozen to save a little dinero. I chose to grab some peaches and avacado while in the general vicinity and noticed some of the gourmet cheese on display. The variety of wild caught vs farm raised was very good in the frozen fish dept. They even had some frog legs and the selection of crab was decent too. They have a large school supply aisle and the cleaning products includes some 'green' items. This store is very large and it took about 20 minutes for me to finish even though I only bought about 10 items-ice cream was on sale so I picked up a few quarts. They had Mack's Homemade in the freezer too while we are on the subject. I like the layout and the fact they have a small post office location in the front and a redbox available. I have used both services here which is very convenient. I would recommend this Weis over all others in the area and it is not too far out of my way. read more

Weis Pharmacy is horrible, due to Giseppie's rude treatment during a pickup of my script. I stood and waited back away from the counter, and when I didn't get any acknowledgement that I was waiting, I approached the counter. And I heard "G" say something, without looking in my direction, having no way to hear what was said through the draped plastic and shield , I assumed he need my info. So I told him what my name and DOB was, and he looked at me and said I'll be with you I'm a moment. There was no one else in line at the time, and finally approached me and asked for my name, and then DOB. After ringing script, I said I have GoodRx, and started to open the app, he said well the. Step aside and was going to start helping someone else. Keep in mind the app brings up your mess and location automatically, and doesn't take bu a moment to provide a QR code for him to scan. I told him I had to wait for my turn, and wait to be served, so why was I being pushed aside? I've had nothing but good experiences with this pharmacy, and pharmacists here, but this guy was not anything I've experienced at any pharmacy. My wife and I like this store. It is bigger & better than the Dover location. They have a nice organic product selection, they sell alcohol, and they offer online ordering so you can shop from home and pickup the groceries in a designated parking space at the store. They also have a 35 cent per gallon filtered water dispenser outside which is great. One complaint I have is that their organic produce is expensive and rarely on sale, and when it is, it's not that great of a sale. I would go to Giant for produce. Be prepared for a crowd. This store tends to get busy due to its location. The staff has been nice and helpful. read more

This store is huge! Has a great variety of items even in organic and gluten free selections. Store has many conveniences such as post office, gas station, pharmacy, beer café, and self checkouts. The Weis Pharmacy On Roosevelt Ave, YORK is Hardly bearable. My mother and husband choose to use this pharmacy. They consistently make mistakes on their meds. Sometimes it takes 3 days for an order to be filled. My doctors office is telling me that Weis received the prescription and confirmed receipt, When I go to pick it up, Weis is saying they never received?? Who is not telling the truth. This happens time and time again. And there are a few employees that are not nice. Quite rude in fact. There are so many employees behind the counter, stepping over each other. It is a confusing mess. I truly think they are trying to handle more business than they can handle effectively. But repeatedly the prescriptions are not all filled when I go to pick up, even days after they received them. read more

Pretty sad that I spend all the money I do at weis, and am rewarded by accumulating $2.20 off a gallon, I then go to get gas tonight and realize the price of their gas jumped from $2.45 a gallon to $2.75 a gallon because they know people will be getting their gas tonight. Rutters across the street was still at $2.45 a gallon. Very disingenuous of them and makes me not want to shop there anymore. I guess I'll be taking my business elsewhere. read more

Went to do my normal grocery trip today. Very disappointing. I am new to town and this is the closest store near me. Let's just say I am now willing to drive a little farther. SO DUSTY. Seriously people, wipe off your displays. Asked to use the store card, since I am new and that took forever. I don't understand why the cashier doesn't have one of their own.
