However I had errands to run in Easton, and the Easton location is has always been a lovely grocery shopping experience! They have my favorite French cooking ingredients for my classic Boursin mashed potatoes recipe, which my all time favorite butter is exclusively sold in Wegman's. Could not visit the store and not stop by the hot bar to have a few of the garlic, Parmesan wings, and pizza. The sandwich shop makes incredible hero sandwiches. The food is incredibly delicious, the service is great. The atmosphere was quiet, just how I like it. Personally have many more favorites that only Wegman's sell that no other grocery store sells. When visiting PA., always have to stop at Wegman's. Be sure to check them out!

You also have to pay ten cents per bag upon checkout. Their hours are 8am - 9pm (Mon-Sat) and 8am - 8pm on Sundays. I will say the store has a very wide and abundant selection. Most of the items seem to have been unpacked exactly where they were delivered and piled up by a toddler with ADHD. If you are looking for soda, it can be found in four different aisles and/or stacked randomly with bread, snack cakes, and cat food. No real ordered sections other than "cold produce," "meat," and "everything else." As I perused the meat case, I noticed that the steaks/chops were cut very unevenly and some of the meat was oxidized. I could not immediately tell if it was accidentally heated during wrapping or if it was simply old. I noted they are looking for a new butcher and I truly hope they find one as this current one ain't cutting it (pun intended). No issues with the produce section. Veggies/fruits were well kept and looked good. The aisles are EXTREMELY narrow. Maneuvering through as others do the same is incredibly difficult. As I mentioned, there really doesn't seem to be a plan to this place. While items are grouped together, it is somewhat loosely done and very confusing. The store is loud. VERY loud. The PA system must be turned to "Jet Engine" as my ears were ringing after each garbled announcement. Due to the narrow passages and the numerous customers climbing all over each other, it's difficult to hear yourself think. I had heard of CTown before and expected the prices to be better however they seem to be higher for what you are getting. They are charging USDA Prime prices for Choice and Select meats. I wanted to give this place a chance. In the end, I realized that if I am looking for specific cultural foods/ingredients, CTown is great. For everything else, any daily needs, anywhere else is better.

If you're looking for an excellent selection of meats, seafood and produce this place is hard to beat. To me it's hand down the best deli in the area. Even at the holy of holy Wegmans you're not finding variety like you'll get here with a full line of Boar's Head, Dietz and Watson, Jennie-O, John F. Martin and some of their own selections. Plus they always have a ton of staff on so the wait is never too bad. Within the last year they've also added beer sales in the back corner. I don't drink the stuff so I have no clue if the prices or selection are any good but the area is fairly large and they always have a good crowd in there so it I guess it can't be too bad. The other big plus here is that while they do not have a self check out area they always have a ton of cashiers on up front. I think they have nine lanes plus the customer service counter which chips in as well and it's rare that especially in the afternoon they don't have all nine lanes staffed. What's still not amazing here would be the prices on a lot of the canned and packaged goods. The sales here are alright but they never compete with sale prices at any of the other major chains. An example being this week a certain brand of ice cream is on sale at 2/$5. A sale at a place like Giant would normally equal 2/$4 and Giant offers special coupons for this item on a fairly regular basis which would make the price even less. Sure that's just one item but the point is that there are a of items which fall into that description. While it would be ideal or convenient to shop at just one store, there are far too many items here that make doing that a real money waster. Like I said last time, stick to the right side of the store and you'll do great in terms of selection and even pricing. The more left you go the more you should consider going to Giant or even Wegmans as it's simply a better all around deal.

Yes, you do need a membership to shop there but this is where many of the restaurants in the Valley and in surrounding states (you'll see trucks with NY and NJ plates here) shop due to the their selection and quality. What you'll find is that almost all of their items have to be bought in bulk but the savings is better than sales in a supermarket. As far as safety in this store, you need to pay attention to shoppers with their carts sometimes piled up to their eyes and the forklifts occasionally driving down the aisles (the aisles are wide enough to accommodate them) but they honk before coming to a corner and safety is assured. As for wet spots, they do post signs if something is spilled but someone may need to report that to staff. There is no "freezer" for people walk through as the freezer is off limits to shoppers and only accessibly by staff. This is a great store with great employees and the value is unbeatable. Mike D.
