Sat Sept 19th my friend Mark and I were traveling from Standish MI back to Melbourne FL. We had…read morestopped for gas and when we got out of our vehicle the gentleman at the next pump yelled that we had a fire between our vehicle and our camper. we had several people helping us and Kris who works at this location was very helpful with the whole situation, after she called the Fire Dept. she kept checking on myself and my friend Mark offering us water or a soda. She even went up and above to find a mobile repair company to come look at our wiring for the camper so we could continue home. She said we could park across the street where the semi's park if we needed and I asked her if we do that we may need to take showers and asked her the cost and she not to worry tell they I said the showers are taken care of. Luckily, we were able to go the next exit and had assistance from one of the volunteer firemen( because the mobille repair wanted $400 just to come look at the issue)Jerry was able to splice the wires back together without hooking them up to the external battery so we had lights on the camper so we could get home. So again, a big thank you to Kris and Jerry from the fire dep. You guys are the best and myself and my friend Mark are so thankful for help, it shows there are good people still out there!

This gas station gets the job done if you need fuel, a restroom, or a quick snack…read more It was weird when looking around. One of the employees didn't seem interested in being there at all. It also felt like I was being watched. Sure, it's a tiny gas station so I get it but it also isn't a good feeling when you can feel the eyes on you. I wish I would've been hungry because to my surprise they have breakfast burritos here. I'm not sure how tasty they were because we all know about gas station bananas and how terrible they are. They did smell good though so if I'm ever through the area again, I'm definitely picking up one of those burritos if they still have them.

I detoured on my trip home to see if Rural King had tomato plants as I was delayed starting my own…read moreplants this year. I like Rural King because they carry everything that you could possibly need for your farm (or backyard garden). This Rural King was well stocked with mowing and other gardening machinery. A good supply of plants were available in six packs that were reasonably priced at $6/6 pk. I was able to find four varieties that I wanted. Inside, the store is neat and well organized. A big sign invites customers to grab a bag of fresh popcorn or a cup of coffee. I got my popcorn, for sure. I always visit the baby chicks when I am at Rural King, which are generally in the back of the store, past the candy and pet supplies. I saw plenty of baby chicks, but left them behind for other backyard farmers. Checkout was down home friendly and quick. They open new registers if there are more than two people in line. The restrooms are at the front of the store and they were clean.
