Checkout ended up being a little more complicated than expected, but instead of getting frustrated or making us feel like we were holding things up, the employee was extremely nice and patient with us. They took the time to help get everything figured out and made what could have been a stressful situation feel much easier. That kind of customer service really makes a difference, especially when something goes wrong that isn't necessarily anyone's fault. I really appreciated how friendly and understanding the employee was throughout the whole situation. It was one of those interactions that leaves you with a much better impression of a store. Even though we had some trouble at checkout, the employee handled it so well that I still left feeling really positive about the experience. Overall, I was very happy with our visit to Publix in Pigeon Forge. The great customer service and the way the employee treated us made this a five-star experience for me. I would definitely shop here again when I'm back in the area.

I saw that there was a Publix in Pigeon Forge and knew that's where we'd need to go to get our picnic supplies! Because we had flown in (and didn't have picnic basket on our pack list), I knew that we needed to get a small cooler to keep our drinks and sandwiches cool on the warm spring day. Fortunately, Publix had a nice variety of small lunch box size coolers and we found one for a reasonable price that was perfect for what we needed and would collapse down for easy packing to bring it home. We then made our way to the deli and got fresh, deli made sandwiches made with boar's head meats and cheeses. They're fully customizable and we very much enjoyed them! We were also able to grab some fruit, pretzel crisps, boar's head hummus, and bottled beverages to round out our picnic. Everything was great, prices were reasonable, and we enjoyed a beautiful picnic in this beautiful area. One note would be that the deli does get busy. We were there in the ease of spring (ie: no big National Park crowds) and we still had to wait in a bit of a line for our deli sandwiches. So, just something to factor into scheduling. That said, we didn't mind a bit and the sandwiches were worth the wait. Get to it!

We found everything we needed plus extras. We found everything to make strawberry cobbler. There was fruits, veggies, everything you could think of but I was also small and quaint, and a very good store. There's a lot of it stores nearby, as well as in a good location. Great Deli Service, but Disappointing Self-Checkout Experience…read moreI stopped into Ingles today and received great service at the deli. However, my checkout experience was very disappointing. When I went to the self-checkout, my hands were full holding hot food plates, and I was trying to find a place to put them down while bagging. Instead of offering a hand, the young employee monitoring the area just stood there, watched me struggle, and laughed. To make matters worse, the checkout system repeatedly glitched, and her attitude remained dismissive and unhelpful throughout the process. Southern hospitality means lending a helping hand when you see someone struggling--a simple "May I help you?" or "Let me scan that for you" would have turned the whole situation around. While this is the primary grocery store in town and I will continue to shop here out of necessity, customer service like this needs to be addressed. Next time an employee sees a customer struggling with their hands full, offering support should be the default response, not standing by and laughing.
