I am incredibly grateful to Dr. Warner…read more I recently found myself hospitalized with a severely infected big toe that had broken bones within and was also degenerative. The infection posed a significant risk of spreading to the rest of my body, so I was prescribed antibiotics around the clock. The primary concern was amputation, which I strongly resisted. Dr. Warner visited me on the weekend to assess the extent of the damage to my toe. She effectively calmed my doubts and fears, presenting me with the available options. The best course of action was amputation, as the infection was localized to the big toe. Removing the toe would prevent future complications. However, this meant losing my big toe, which filled me with severe apprehension. Would I still be able to enjoy my favorite sports like tennis, hiking, and basketball? Dr. Warner reassured me that I could resume my activities with no further issues. Her patience, calmness, and honesty provided me with the support I needed to make the decision. (wry smile) I never imagined I would be grateful for someone amputating my toe, but in the end, it was the right decision. One rare quality in our world is having a physician who genuinely cares about their patients and doesn't treat them as mere numbers. Dr. Warner's professionalism, knowledge, and relatability to my family were remarkable. My mother and sisters were understandably worried about me with the upcoming surgical procedure, but she calmly reassured them that everything would be fine. After the surgery, Dr. Warner continued to support me during the transition period. While it's understandable to feel mentally and emotionally challenged after an amputation, her continued patience and calmness were invaluable. Initially, it was difficult to look at my foot without my big toe. However, Dr. Warner helped me come to terms with the loss, and I will always be grateful for her assistance. Thank you very much, Dr. Warner.

I'd like nothing better to be giving a positive review, but that is not possible…read more My daughter made an appointment to have a toenail removed. She has BCBS and they will cover this. The practice manager Cheryl wanted her social security number for billing. Daughter said no. Can give a credit care. They would not see her without it. Why? No one is required to disclose a social security number to a doctor for care. Just another way for fraud to occur. Our employer uses a made up number and has for the last 25 years just to cut down on fraud. A call to BCBS would have shown she has coverage. A credit card would have ensured payment. Instead, they turned her away in pain. Not a class act. Not a practice I would refer anyone to Shame on them for an outdated business practice and outdated business system.

I'd never been to a chiropractor before, but when I started having a lot of back and neck pain…read morerecently, I decided to try something new. (With a toddler and a newborn to take care off, I didn't have time to just sit around and wait for it to get better, which is all doctors seem to recommend!). My boss recommended Dr. Limonoff (who insists on being called Jeff) at East Lansing Chiropractic. The office was very friendly and got me in the day after I called. There was a bit of a wait once I got there -- maybe 15 minutes -- but not a huge deal. Jeff is super-friendly and very chatty. He explained everything thoroughly, and I didn't find the adjustments painful. One nice thing is that he doesn't push X-rays (I especially appreciated that, as a nursing mom) or a bunch of follow-up visits. He even said, "Unless this is a pain you've had for 20 years, if I haven't gotten it fixed in three visits, I'm doing something wrong." That was nice to hear, as some of the chiropractors I was looking at before he was recommended seemed to expect you to be coming back for MONTHS! I've had two visits now (with instructions to make another if the pain comes back), and I feel great! If I have any more back or neck issues, I'll definitely see Jeff again.

Even though he was confident in that diagnosis, he took SO MUCH TIME with me, checking and rechecking various pain levels in both feet, asking questions, taking xrays (as an added bonus, I'd fallen two days before my appointment and was concerned I'd fractured my left foot) and talking through everything. Best of all, he gave me immediate relief with some steroid injections in each heel. While more painful than I'd thought they'd be (and I really awesomely jerked by foot away on the first foot), I'd gladly do the injections again for the relief I feel in my feet. These shots, along with a regimen of icing and stretches on my own, and a custom insert for my shoes (which he casted me for at the appt instead of making me come back and pay another office visit) should have me good to go. If you're experiencing any kind of foot or ankle pain or other issues, my advice is NOT TO HESITATE seeing Dr. Deswal. One of the best doctors of any sort I've seen in memory. Thank you, Manny!
