The infection posed a significant risk of spreading to the rest of my body, so I was prescribed antibiotics around the clock. The primary concern was amputation, which I strongly resisted. Dr. Warner visited me on the weekend to assess the extent of the damage to my toe. She effectively calmed my doubts and fears, presenting me with the available options. The best course of action was amputation, as the infection was localized to the big toe. Removing the toe would prevent future complications. However, this meant losing my big toe, which filled me with severe apprehension. Would I still be able to enjoy my favorite sports like tennis, hiking, and basketball? Dr. Warner reassured me that I could resume my activities with no further issues. Her patience, calmness, and honesty provided me with the support I needed to make the decision. (wry smile) I never imagined I would be grateful for someone amputating my toe, but in the end, it was the right decision. One rare quality in our world is having a physician who genuinely cares about their patients and doesn't treat them as mere numbers. Dr. Warner's professionalism, knowledge, and relatability to my family were remarkable. My mother and sisters were understandably worried about me with the upcoming surgical procedure, but she calmly reassured them that everything would be fine. After the surgery, Dr. Warner continued to support me during the transition period. While it's understandable to feel mentally and emotionally challenged after an amputation, her continued patience and calmness were invaluable. Initially, it was difficult to look at my foot without my big toe. However, Dr. Warner helped me come to terms with the loss, and I will always be grateful for her assistance. The practice manager Cheryl wanted her social security number for billing. Daughter said no. Can give a credit care. They would not see her without it. Why? No one is required to disclose a social security number to a doctor for care. Just another way for fraud to occur. Our employer uses a made up number and has for the last 25 years just to cut down on fraud. A call to BCBS would have shown she has coverage. A credit card would have ensured payment. Instead, they turned her away in pain. Not a class act. Not a practice I would refer anyone to Shame on them for an outdated business practice and outdated business system.

I told his office about my situation and the time constraints and they were so accommodating. He was able to get me in the next day and worked through lunch to remove the glass. He had me come back each day before the move to check in and make sure it was healing properly. Doctor Papson and his staff were so kind and absolutely great to work with!

I heard from more than 10 clients and friends, many including various doctors, Dr. Mesko was the best. I had my first knee replacement in January and my second in February. I am esctatic! Though only three weeks out from my second surgery I have been elieviated from the pain I have known for so long. While I have been in therapy I have seen numerous results from different surgeons cosmetically. I have very small scars compared to every other doctors scars. Dr. Mesko is truly an artist. As a typical artist, he is very direct, not a small talker. He has made life changes in my body and I will always be thankful to him and his dedication for improving my quality of life.

I had an accident and completely severed my right extensor tendon, but for the first few days I…read morethought it wasn't that bad. Still, I took ER's advice and sought a hand specialist. I wish I had called Katranji right away, but I relied on Google reviews and was deterred by a few negative ones. So I called a different place. The problem is, the other place requires a referral just to schedule an appointment - which is a terrible policy in my opinion (Katranji doesn't require a referral to make an appointment). So I had to wait over a week just to get in to see my PCP first. That was discouraging because I found out later that surgery on this tendon should be performed within a week. But at least when I did see my PCP, they recommended Katranji instead. By the time I saw Dr Katranji it had already been two weeks since the accident (2 days before I called PCP, 8 days to get in to see them, and 4 more days to see Katranji because the appointment was made on a Friday). I'm grateful that Dr. K and his staff were as forgiving as they were knowledgeable. Because of the time that had elapsed I was concerned, but the doc told me it was fine, and was a relatively easy procedure. Surgery was two days later at McLaren. It went great and I'm on the mend with minimal pain. To summarize, everything that took place once I saw Dr. Katranji was positive, and his staff was kind and professional as well. I'm very grateful. Added bonus: I'm a musician and require the use of my right thumb, index, and middle finger. Luckily I still have full use of those fingers while the rest of my hand heals!

Took lots of time with me to listen and understand my problems, did X-rays, reviewed all my medical documentation, determined that the cause of my pain is the IM rod in my tibia, was able to give me a detailed and logical explanation for why he could not do surgery to remove the rod, and gave me suggestions for how to manage the pain given that surgery was not an option. Night and day experience. If you need an OS in Lansing, I highly recommend Dr. Waterbrook.

(With a toddler and a newborn to take care off, I didn't have time to just sit around and wait for it to get better, which is all doctors seem to recommend!). My boss recommended Dr. Limonoff (who insists on being called Jeff) at East Lansing Chiropractic. The office was very friendly and got me in the day after I called. There was a bit of a wait once I got there -- maybe 15 minutes -- but not a huge deal. Jeff is super-friendly and very chatty. He explained everything thoroughly, and I didn't find the adjustments painful. One nice thing is that he doesn't push X-rays (I especially appreciated that, as a nursing mom) or a bunch of follow-up visits. He even said, "Unless this is a pain you've had for 20 years, if I haven't gotten it fixed in three visits, I'm doing something wrong." That was nice to hear, as some of the chiropractors I was looking at before he was recommended seemed to expect you to be coming back for MONTHS! I've had two visits now (with instructions to make another if the pain comes back), and I feel great! If I have any more back or neck issues, I'll definitely see Jeff again.
