Meghan is wonderful!!

I wasn't a huge fan of Wegmans in NoVA. Thought they were massive confusing warehouse-like stores, cold and impersonal, that made shopping some kind of waste-of-time experience searching for what you wanted as they'd have the same item in 4 different locations in the same store. Came here and was not happy it would be my primary store vs. Whole Foods. But... over time it's won me over. It's bright. Clean. Welcoming. There are some areas which I don't understand why they laid it out like that (the flowers at the end of the fruits and vegetables are always crowded and a nightmare to navigate as people are stopped trying to look at the beautiful displays) but most of the aisles are wide with items easily accessible. The product lines they carry are high quality. They have decent organic options. They have interesting frozen brands to try. And their fresh food offerings are nothing short of amazing. Sushi? Cookies? Organic salads? Gluten free? Hot made-to-order? They have it all here. I found the Whole Foods nearby but I hardly go there anymore. I'm finding everything at this store, which has tons of easy access parking, and is close to everywhere I want to be. Also Meghan at the hot food counter is amazing. She really went out of her way when she didn't have to at all. If their staff is half as nice as she is, this store will always be a winner!!

I was so excited to have a Wegmans open in Wilmington! But in my opinion, the café to go food does not compare to the Wegmans in Glen Mills! The set up in general was very different. The Wilmington one has little pockets of cuisines and it gets very crowded making it hard to shop around. The variety of soup was great! They always have 6+ soups to choose from and they are always delicious. The smallest cup size is a little over six dollars! Pretty pricey in my book! I came closer to closing time so the sushi options were very limited. They are fairly priced and come with a pack of ginger, soy sauce, and wasabi which is very convenient. Overall great selection, and different from any of the food stores around!

I literally only come in for the lemon cake that they have for like six or seven dollars. It's…read moreabsolutely delicious and it's so cheap for the amount of cake that you get. Whenever I need groceries, this is not my go to spot unless I want that lemon cake. I'll pick up a few items and then just get the cake. sometimes I'll get bubble tea from next-door, but it will always be the lemon cake that I'll 100% buy during my trip to giant. They also have a great selection of fruits, vegetables, and snacks and cereals. A great grocery store if it's convenient for you or if you love lemon cake. There's plenty of parking space and I never have a problem with parking too far away for the most part. It's also usually never too crowded no matter the time of day that you go so you don't have to worry about having to be stuck in a crowd or having a checkout line that's over 5 minutes.

Good afternoon. I was just in your store with my mother and sibling, and while we were using self…read morecheckout, I had an extremely uncomfortable and concerning experience with one of your employees. There was a young gentleman monitoring the self checkout area, and based on the circumstances and the manner in which my family was treated, I am concerned that his behavior may have been racially motivated. While interacting with other customers, he appeared friendly, smiled, and spoke to them normally, but when it came to me and my family, his demeanor was noticeably different. He was short with us, displayed very little patience, and continuously monitored our actions. When I say he watched everything, I do not mean that he occasionally glanced in our direction. He observed us for nearly the entirety of the time we were at self checkout, repeatedly staring at us and giving us side eyes while we were scanning and paying for our items. His behavior was excessive enough that it became very noticeable and made us feel as though we were being scrutinized or treated as though we had done something wrong simply because we were shopping in the store. What makes this situation even more concerning is that this is not an isolated incident involving this employee. A few weeks or a month ago, I came into the store with my grandmother, and this same employee was our cashier. During that visit, he repeatedly stared at both of us and gave us similar looks, creating the impression that we were being watched or treated with suspicion despite doing absolutely nothing wrong. I understand that employees have a responsibility to monitor self checkout and ensure that store policies are being followed, but there is a clear distinction between appropriately performing those responsibilities and making customers feel singled out, scrutinized, or unwelcome. The repeated nature of this conduct, combined with the noticeable difference in how he interacted with my family compared with other customers, was deeply uncomfortable and made me feel unsafe while inside your establishment. No customer should have to feel intimidated, profiled, or unfairly scrutinized while simply shopping with their family. To make matters worse, my mother attempted to call the store directly to make a complaint about what occurred, and while she was in the middle of explaining the situation, the person on the phone abruptly hung up on her. We were extremely disappointed by this response, as we were attempting to address the situation respectfully and through the appropriate channels. Being disconnected while actively making a legitimate customer complaint only added to our frustration and made us feel as though our concerns were not being taken seriously. I am respectfully requesting that management take this complaint seriously, investigate the circumstances surrounding these incidents, and address this employee's conduct appropriately. I would also appreciate knowing what measures will be taken to ensure that customers are treated with dignity, professionalism, and fairness regardless of their race or background. The fact that this behavior has occurred toward me and members of my family on multiple occasions, followed by my mother being disconnected while attempting to report it, is particularly troubling and warrants immediate attention from management. I hope this matter will be handled promptly, professionally, and with the seriousness it deserves.
