I went to this wegmans at 9 pm on a Sunday evening to exchange a product that I bought a day before because it was open and I didn't notice this when I bought it. The customer service desk was closed so I asked a cashier if they could help me as all I wanted to do was exchange it for another for the same price. They told me only customer service can do this and I would have to return tomorrow. So if you can't get to the store during customer service hours due to your job etc then you're out of luck. They should be able to do a simple transaction like this at any of the registers with a live cashier. Now I have to make an unnecessary trip back and take time off work to do so. read more

We were really excited when a Wegmans opened in Delaware, especially since we don't have many local grocery store options. It was good for a short while, but it seems to have gone downhill fairly quickly. Prices are higher than nearby alternatives, shelves are often understocked, and the fruits and vegetables aren't any better than what you can find at lower-cost stores. The overall atmosphere also feels somewhat aggressive and unwelcoming. Unfortunately, it looks like we'll be heading back to Acme. read more

I wasn't a huge fan of Wegmans in NoVA. Thought they were massive confusing warehouse-like stores, cold and impersonal, that made shopping some kind of waste-of-time experience searching for what you wanted as they'd have the same item in 4 different locations in the same store. Came here and was not happy it would be my primary store vs. Whole Foods. But... over time it's won me over. It's bright. Clean. Welcoming. There are some areas which I don't understand why they laid it out like that (the flowers at the end of the fruits and vegetables are always crowded and a nightmare to navigate as people are stopped trying to look at the beautiful displays) but most of the aisles are wide with items easily accessible. The product lines they carry are high quality. They have decent organic options. They have interesting frozen brands to try. And their fresh food offerings are nothing short of amazing. Sushi? Cookies? Organic salads? Gluten free? Hot made-to-order? They have it all here. I found the Whole Foods nearby but I hardly go there anymore. I'm finding everything at this store, which has tons of easy access parking, and is close to everywhere I want to be. Also Meghan at the hot food counter is amazing. She really went out of her way when she didn't have to at all. If their staff is half as nice as she is, this store will always be a winner!! read more

I was so excited to have a Wegmans open in Wilmington! But in my opinion, the café to go food does not compare to the Wegmans in Glen Mills! The set up in general was very different. The Wilmington one has little pockets of cuisines and it gets very crowded making it hard to shop around. The variety of soup was great! They always have 6+ soups to choose from and they are always delicious. The smallest cup size is a little over six dollars! Pretty pricey in my book! I came closer to closing time so the sushi options were very limited. They are fairly priced and come with a pack of ginger, soy sauce, and wasabi which is very convenient. Overall great selection, and different from any of the food stores around! read more

I'd like to acknowledge Tash who works in the bakery section at Wegman's in Wilmington, DE. On January 14, 2026, there were no carrot cakes left. Tash went above and beyond going in the back and coming back to actually make a cake for me!! She then heard it was my birthday and insisted on customizing the cake with my name! She is amazing and made my day extra special!! read more

Wegman's has the best food and service of any supermarket in Northern Delaware. I also love their fresh flower selection. Be aware that it is pricey, but you pay for quality. read more

The shop itself and the items they sell are good. I'm just very confused about what they do when it comes to the cashiers helping customers with bagging at the check out. So.... Whole Foods (price point comparable to Wegmans) and Trader Joe's (price point lower than wegmans) both help ALL customers bag. However, Wegmans picks and chooses which customer(s) they want to help, out of absolutely NO rhyme or reason. I say, you either help everybody, or help nobody (except for those with physical limitations and are not able to bag things unless helped). Randomly choosing based on the cashiers' mood and biases is not acceptable. read more

Ordered Wegmans sheet cake, Gold Cake, Lemon filling with Whipped Cream. Delish! Usually we get cakes from Bings and with reviews I read took a chance and so glad! Very light cake and not too sweet! Perfect! Only complaint was I cute the pieces too small! read more

I love Wegmans. We go out of our way to shop there. We were very excited to see this store getting built as it's a bit closer than the store in Glen Mills. Whoever designed this store either was intentionally doing a bad job or they just didn't care. The terrible layout starts right at the entrance. It's maybe 15' wide and then they take up 3' on either side with cold cases. Then people stop to shop in them and the 9' is now one single aisle where the entire flow of the store in and out has to fit. Just silly design. The flow of the store makes absolutely no sense either, but that may be a personal preference. I have to use the app every time to find anything. The aisles are so narrow you can't fit past people in some of them and people shop like they drive, unaware of the rest of the world. Then you've got the stupid dairy layout. Eggs, milk, OJ are all together, like always. Hmm... where is the half and half? Do they not sell it? Oh, there it is! 20' away with the yogurt. Exactly where I'd expect it to be! (sarcasm) Wegmans, I love you but this store is absolutely awful. I'll continue to go out of my way and avoid this store completely. What are terrible start to your footprint in DE. read more

This store is convenient but I absolutely hate shopping there. It's set up wrong and feels claustrophobic. They never have hand carts at the side entrance, they are always out of 2or 3 items I need (and I don't do big shops) and other than a couple of their cashiers everyone working there seems miserable or put out when you ask a question. I was looking for a Minor's Red Wine Demi Glaze paste/concentrate. I went to the Customer Service counter and the person tried to look it up in their computer which was NOT KEPT UP TO DATE. Party supplies kept coming up. She finally told me to look in aisle 5A where the sauces were, no luck. All that was there was a Ham Glaze. I went to the butcher area and asked one of the guys and he could only supply me with a Duck/Veal demi glaze. Wegman's has all this food but a computer system that doesn't help anyone find anything. I was excited to hear that there was going to be another location near by but have been disappointed ever since this location has opened. I'm not exaggerating when I say that every single time I go to this location they continue to be out of stock with several items I'll need to get. I've been going to the Glen Mills locations for years now and I've yet to experience this issue. It's upsetting that I need to travel farther in order to get what I need. read more

Wow! Was at wegmans right before their closing time last night. I had ran my items up at self check-out, put my card in the machine and there was a slight problem (I was $1.30 short on my card to pay for the items)I asked the lady at the self checkout desk to cancel the transaction so that I could pay cash for the items at the register.Low and behold, my transaction was never canceled, and I paid cash for my items.. No coffee stand. Now have machines. Terrible. Cannot get a decaf latte. Cannot get a decaf cappuccino. And more. Manager told me that all stores are getting rid of the custom coffee stands and using these machines. Ouch. I used to get breakfast there 3/5 times a week. No more. Sad. read more

What a great store -- I had heard about Wegmans and thought I'd visit this one while staying in Wilmington. - Friendly staff: from the bakery, to customer service (thank you to the super kind lady who helped me out while I was in a rush!), to the people helping expedite lines on a busy Saturday afternoon - Tasty food: the produce was fresh, the rosemary rotisserie chicken was juicy, and the apple crostatas were perfectly crisp and just the right level of sweet - Selection of fresh-cooked meals: from sushi to burgers to pizza, it all looked good! read more

I know Delaware is a small state but they could have made the first Wegmans a bit bigger! I also felt there was not as big of a brand selection for certain food items (i.e. bread, snacks, crackers). The aisles seemed smaller to me as well. There is a nice selection of freshly prepared items and hot food but disappointingly no alcohol is available here. I just feel there was a few wasted opportunities in this whole project unfortunately People have been waiting a long time for a reputable grocery store like Wegmans to come and this was underwhelming. read more

Wegman's has such a terrific reputation that I was especially disappointed with the outlet on Buckley Mill Road. I stopped for a quick take-out and thought that the buffet would be the perfect plan. The choices were all carbs-- fried and unhealthy. The overcooked broccoli with beef looked pretty unappealing. Instead, I thought I'd have a custom sandwich made by one of the young, indifferent folks working behind the counter. After ordering, I walked around the store, seeing whether there might be anything else that struck my fancy. When I returned about 10 minutes later, they hadn't even started making my meal. The multigrain bread that I'd been offered as an option? They were out of it. I nearly canceled my order and left. The highlight of my visit? Lovely Lynda, who was solicitous, friendly, and offered some food options for my consideration. Other than that? Nope. read more

Their processed foods to go are the worst ever, unless you want sushi. Oh wait, that was terrible too. I had a bad first experience, purchasing their prepped stuffed pork chops and pin wheel steaks. We literally threw the chops away, they we smothered in salt. The pin wheels fell apart and were tough. Store was brand new, so we wanted to go back and give it another shot as we really enjoy the Glenn Mills store. Me and my daughter grabbed some lunch. She had a piece of Ahi, and a California roll. I started reading labels. Over 1200mg of sodium in a "organic turkey sandwich". OMG, the roast beef sandwich had over 1500mg of sodium (more than a full days allowance). Fat content was off the roof. Couldn't even look at the salami/Italian sandwich. SO, salad I thought. Nope, incredibly full of fat and salt. Then I found turkey chili, should be okay right? No nutritional information provided, nope, zero label or contents. I settled for 1/2 an organic turkey sandwich, 800mg of salt. $7.00 for half of the worst sandwich ever. Took one bite, looked at my daughter as she spit out her $11.00 ahi. Inedible. I asked the lady at the lunch area, she sent me to the sushi counter, sushi counter sent me to customer service. One person at the counter, four people in line. I don't know what is going on at this store. You would think all Wegmans would have the same standards. Next time, I will stop at Wawa. Buckley Road location is a let down. Let me begin by saying that I have been a loyal, happy Wegman's customer for 25 years and have shopped regularly at many of their other locations, most notably Allentown, Montgomeryville, Downingtown, all in PA. However, the store at Buckley Road in Wilmington is closest to my current home. The experience there was less than expected. The produce area was sloppy, with wilted, limp vegetables, items on the floor, messy displays. When I asked for help finding an item, the young employee shrugged. The cashier was unfriendly, rather rude actually. WOW! Never have I encountered anything like this in their other stores. I expect that this is a local issue and poor management at this particular store. Unfortunately it's the only one in Delaware. read more

Sunday midday restrooms in first floor filthy and smelly. Bad for a grocery store. Even worse for kids.

To begin,the parking lot is too big for the size of the market, which makes navigating the actual market horrible. there isnt enough space for all the customers to move efficiently. lots of sections but small & the traffic flow here is treacherous. their food selection is good and thats the only reason you should even consider coming here. Not bad when actually stocked but usually pretty cleaned out. Be careful in the winter though, the parking lot is a solid ice rink right now. I just fell like three times and launched my groceries into the air just ( ) strolling back to my car. I'm gonna be black and blue for Christmas. The "helping hand " in the parking lot watched me fall, didn't offer or try to help me up. I fell down twice more just trying to get back up and he just stood and watched me keep falling. This is the 4th time I've been there and the same problems plague this place: 1. the produce department NEVER seems to be stocked and the quality of the produce is bad - the greens are either too dry and wilted or soaked in water; the overall quality is poor. 2. SLOOOOOOW checkout experience 3. Complete lack of 'brand name' products virtually ALL of the dairy, canned goods, packaged goods, etc. are Wegman's brand. I look for specific brands that I like for various reasons. Only one 'store' brand is just not good enough. 4. Poor meat department; again only Wegman's brand. Great things about Wegman's: the bakery is awesome!, the deli is amazing and the cheese selection is incredible. But...overall not good. read more

For a vegan connoisseur such as I, there was an excellent dark chocolate bar with sea salt chips (tasting all too much like those forbidden dairy-construed Heath chips) for a great price. Additionally, Mr. Fischer was a very prompt and friendly cashier who deserves a raise. read more

Went to Wegmans Wilmington today. Went to the restroom to wash my hands. The restroom was filthy, opted not to wash my hands and used my hand sanitizer Instead. This is not to mention that person working behind the cookie counter was clueless. read more

My biggest gripe is that their prepared foods are insanely expensive for what they are. Basically they are charging restaurant prices for Ok -- but not great food. I have been going to Wegmans for over 10 years and have seen prepared food prices go up by like 70 - 80% in the last few years. I can afford to eat there no problem....I just feel like I'm getting ripped off -- so I don't. That being said, they still have good values in the grocery area and I will buy products there. read more

I usually go to the Glen Mills store and never had a bad experience. Glad this one opened but they havee a long way to go as far as customer service. Stood at the bread section to have bread sliced for 11 minutes while three workers were "busy'" behind the counter. All three looked up and saw me but no one came to assist! A 4th worker Marie appears and immediately comes over!! Hats off, to Marie in the bread section!!! read more

So, my daughter had never been to Wegman's. Myself and my two daughters decided to go shopping there. We're shopping, and I notice a State Trooper walking around. At first, I didn't pay Jim any attention. I just thought he was walking around, and then I see him peering from a distance. So we continue to shop and he appears again. Then, a female officer shows up. Then they both peering from a distance. We go to another isle, and they pop up at the end of that aisle. By this time, I'm pissed off... like wtf are you following us. I got cash or credit cards to buy WHATEVER I want in this store. We go to checkout, and they wait for a few minutes, then the male officer leaves. REALLY THOUGH! It's f'd up. We were profiled in the store because we were 3 BLACK women shopping together, and my daughters had full carts. I'm cool on Wegmans don't wanna shop where the police gotta be called to keep an eye on me! read more

Would love to know where the wonderful person was that used to work in the Meals2Go area. I believe her name was Jessica. She was very helpful and courteous. You need to bring her back. The new people in that area do not seem to know what they are doing. You need to hire people like her. Shame you cannot get her back. Making customers feel important are your priority. This location has less selection, no liquor store, and all of the traffic of Glen Mills ... in a smaller footprint. It's a convenient stop for bread and milk, but I'll continue doing my big-ticket shopping at Glen Mills. read more

The new Wegmans in Greenville is fantastic. Well stocked and delicious prepared foods.

I am usually very happy with Wegman's but there is a "but" in this sentence. I ordered 4 subs on line, was given an order number and on the pick up day I received a text that they were not available and they credited my account. The order was for lunch that included friends who were driving an hour and half to our house. I ended up getting 3 of the subs and the ingredients for the 4th at Acme. The good news is Wegman' gave me plenty of notice to make alternate arrangements. I now realized why, when I tried to order these subs at their to go desk, they wanted me to order a sub tray which was almost twice the price of the 4 subs. My thinking is they should block you from ordering stuff on line that they are not going to prepare. Shame on me for thinking they would actually make up what I ordered. There is no guarantee if I had gone to the store this morning that they would have had what I needed which is why I ordered on line. The topper is when I tried to call the store to see if I could get some help, no one picks up the phone. read more
