Love this place. Open late, convenient, and lots of fresh food at decent prices. I love their prepared meals. They are portioned perfectly for one (or more) and have nutrient information clearly labeled. Pop them in the microwave for 3-4 min = perfect dinner without all the sodium of a frozen meal made at some factory halfway across the country. Great selection of fresh produce as well. Always buy my fresh fruit from here: bananas, blueberries, raspberries, and blackberries. I highly recommend checking this grocery store out. read more

This grocery store is simply amazing. It feels as if there is not a single grocery store in my area that even comes close to the quality and prices at which Wegmans is able to serve their customers at. I have never had an interaction with an employee who did not seem extremely eager to help assist me and also have seen these employees look extremely enthusiastic to be at their job. The cleanliness of the store can't be understated it is awesome how clean they keep such a massive store in tip top shape at any given moment. First, I graduated college from University of Rochester and Rochester, NY is the home of Wegmans. Wegmans is successful because they care about food, they are not Whole Food's who is pretentious about food, they are not Trader Joe's who is cultish, it just cares about carrying a great variety. This Wegman's has all the same things I love from my college days, a great selection, clean store, great service, and so much awesome food to be had that you can just carry out and eat. I walked in at 2015 on a Saturday on my way home to Newport, and was dying for a Wegman's Sub which I have not had in over 10 years. I went to the deli counter(which is where I went to in Rochester), asked for a sub and the young man there was very nice and told me where I needed to go. Two seconds later, I was there, getting my sub to order. The large sub for $9 is about 2 feet long, or 18 inches, or something ridiculous. It feed the wife and I and we were stuffed. The fact they use great deli meat, cheeses, and fresh vegetables on a sub that most places charge $15 for and I can get it here for so cheap is awesome. That is Wegman's in a nut shell, good food, decent price, with a great assortment, with friendly service. I really wish they had one in Newport, I would be there all the time. Can't say enough about wegmans . They are amazing, the food is always fresh , employees are friendly, store is impeccably clean I just love it ! I'm just going to review the bakery. The chocolate chip cookies here are life. My husband brings them home every week. They would get a zero if I could give it. I am a senior and shop during the hour set aside for 60+ to shop. This store lets in anyone who wants to come in, they don't do any type of monitoring. There are people well under 60 and they even bring their kids. I have complained to the store manager and even to corporate and they just don't care. Pros: -Good value -Nice location -Overall they have quality meats and produce. Good selection of fairly priced organic store brand products. -Staff at the meat counter are especially nice and helpful -Awesome selection of beer and wine! Cons: -On multiple occasions I've discovered food I purchased (and paid for) never made its way home with me. The cashiers don't pay attention to what bags have my items in it and thus what bags need to be put in my cart. It seems I have to watch more carefully. -The layout of the store isn't intuitive. (But please don't change it now- I finally figured it out!) -I switched to the Wegmans Pharmacy. They told me the first 5 Rx's I pick up will give me a $10 off coupon for food. Low and behold after the first Rx pickup I never got any more coupons. I asked about it and didn't get a satisfactory explanation. -Sometimes the ready-made food at the cafe is great, and sometimes it's cold and awful. read more

It's an alright store. One one trip when I gave a friend a ride there, I noticed an upgrade to the self checkout area. There was a sign that said card only, no cash. Fortunately my friend has a debit card. I later found out that cash customers could still use the self scan and the attendant would have the customer checkout at the service desk. The sign just seemed to discourage cash customers from attempting to use it. I asked if it was legal in the state of Massachusetts. They claim it was because I had other options. Meanwhile the Target in the same plasa still accepts cash at their self checkout. They use to accept cash at self checkout. They should go back to that. read more

At first I thought, why would I do a review on a grocery store. And then I explored Wegmans! This was my first trip to Wegmans and I was IMPRESSED. Nevermind the normal, high quality grocery section, the prepared foods and take home meals section was like an entire store onto itself. Tons of great options to eat there or take home. And they have a large very nice section to eat your meals. They have a Salad bar, wing bar, pizza, sandwiches, sushi, hot dishes, and a ton of other stuff I can't remember. Great store. I love Wegmans! I have been waiting for Wegmans to come to Massachusetts because they are awesome. The produce here is always good, and they have great prices. One time they ran out of scallions and 2 people helped find a suitable replacement for my recipe! I also love the bulk foods section where you can tons of different types of candy. If you like wine, they have everything from $4 bottles to $200. They usually have decent sales as well. Aside from shopping you could probably eat lunch here for 2 weeks straight and never have the same meal. I highly recommend the subs on sesame bread, yum. At the risk of sounding like the biggest fat kid for life Wegman's is my heaven. The craft beer selection and wine is on point. They sell my precious molly dooker wine which seems to be really hard to find. The cheese section basically made me see Jesus. I could keep going but I am just embarrassing myself. SO clean well organized and stocked there were 3 huge refrigerator cases JUST FOR yogurt.... oh no I kept going. It's going to be a problem having this store right next to work. I went in a few weeks ago to pick up a cake I ordered for my son's birthday. As I was going to put in on the conveyor belt, I dropped it. I went over the manager and asked if he thought the bakery could fix it. Without a second glance, the bakery manager took the cake and made me a whole new one! I was so relieved and grateful for their kindness. A few weeks after that I bought some wine and dropped it in the parking lot when I was transferring it from the cart to my car. I went in to report it so someone could clean up the glass and the manager remembered what type of wine I had purchased and brought new bottles out to me in the car. We totally love Wegman's! The Star Market is the closest grocery store to our home (same one reviewed by me) but I would rather drive a bit further to come to Wegman's. The new location is fairly close to our home, which is only about a 20 minute drive away. What I like about Wegman's is the huge selection and variety of produce and produce. Their prepared foods are good, but I don't think they compare to Whole Foods. The food has been fresh and well presented. There are ample open lines and although it looks busy, one can easily find an empty or short line. I would recommend coming here first thing or early in the morning. Saturday and Sunday afternoons are a bit crazy with people coming in to eat lunch as well as to do their grocery shopping. read more

You can put that s#*& (stuff) on everything: grilled vegetables, grilled meats, fish. I would also check out the meat & fish departments, especially for specialty items. I'm at the Westwood Wegmans right now. It just opened and is amazing. First- it's huge. I haven't seen much of the store yet but will update soon. The aisles I have been down are super clean and everything is extremely organized. And it's larger than Chestnut Hill. Second- there are staff everywhere and checkout. I haven't been to checkout yet but it looks much larger and less congested than the Chestnut Hill Wegmans. For the staff, who are everywhere), I have only spoke with one, but everyone seemed ready for this day and I'm ready to go back in and do a huge grocery shopping. I don't go there, but they have a Beer & Wine store as well attached. They also have a full produce section, deli, meats, as well as TONS of small little permanent bars specializing in one item, but a selection of every type you could possibly buy, they also have a TON of different candies, in the candy aisle, you'd be sure to find any candy possible. Also - this location has more than Chestnut Hill. So far I've only noticed the differences of the Nature's Marketplace here as well as a cafe (called Market Cafe), which also seems cool. Currently , it's very busy but seems as University Ave can handle this traffic (there isn't really any backups!). The best part is, this store is in my town and only 8 minutes from my house! Came here with my family for a pizza dinner. We got a garlic and cheese and a regular cheese. Both of these pizzas were delicious. They took about 20min to cook which wasn't bad at all the kids were able to watch some tv and play with some toys. The cafe space was very clean and so was the bathroom. The staff was also very nice and everyone seemed to be on top of things. It was my first time here and I really enjoyed it. I would recommend it if you're not in the mood to cook they have tons of choices to choose from. read more

I was so excited when I found out a new wegmans is opening in Massachusetts. Wegmans is my favorite grocery store of all time, even more than my precious sprouts in California. I wanted to go to their grand opening last weekend but I was out of town so I looked forward to checking them out today. I live about 25 minutes away from Westwood and had not even heard of the town until a few weeks ago. Let me just say that it was worth the drive. Not only is the store amazing but it's located in a shopping plaza with other chain stores I shop at like ulta, Nordstrom rack and target. The inside of the store is huge. One of the employees said it's the biggest in Massachusetts. They have all of the amazing unique products you can only find at wegmans. A few things impressed me about this one. 1. They have a natural food section that has organic cereals, peanut butters, etc. 2. Their vitamin and medicines section is huge compared to the chestnut hill store. I was happy to find my natural sinus medication for less than what I pay at the vitamin shoppe. Best of all, they have self check out. I find their prices to be significantly better than whole foods and even stop and shop and star market. The produce is almost always high quality and cheap. Make sure you sign up for their shoppers card. Every month they mail you a coupon book and each week has a $5 off of $25 coupon that comes in very handy. read more

I finally decided to go check this place out and see what the hype is all about. Didn't leave disappointed that's for sure. The store is enormous!!!! You could literally spend a day there. Some favorite sections are definitely the bakery, prepared foods, salad bar, the sushi counter (especially since they sell sashimi grade tuna by the pound) and the never ending cheese section. The only thing I was disappointed with was the produce section. The variety wasn't any better than your next door shaws or stop and shop. I was really hoping to see a more local organic selection, kind of like whole foods. Overall, great place to shop! read more

Been to this store twice. First time was right after they opened, and it was amazing. 2nd time disappointed. Went on a Saturday afternoon, and they had inventory problems. Bananas were cleaned out and picked over. They were completely out of parsley and cilantro. Milk with past sell-by dates on the shelf. Still a very good store and still blowing away any competition, so I'll give them more chances. Just really disappointed with this visit. read more

My only gripe is that yesterday I ordered a small blt in the food court and the grumpy employee only put one skimpy 1/2 slice of bacon on sandwich. The supermarket on a Sunday?! My boyfriend really wanted a burger so off we went. I usually avoid the supermarket at busy times because it's very hectic and I have no patience. It was mobbed of course but that's okay. We got Wegman's brand burgers and brioche buns. The buns were fresh and buttery. They paired perfectly with the meat and made a very yummy cheeseburger! Their pretzel rolls, carrot cake, cannoli dip and chocolate cake are also deliciously addicting. Their prepared foods are tasty as well. The Evol brand is a new obsession of mine. It's usually hard to find their breakfast sandwiches, but Wegman's has a good selection at low prices. Plus they offer a vast beer and wine selection which is convenient. Can't go wrong with this Wegman's location! read more

This store has a great variety and is really family friendly BUT I'm always super bothered by the set-up of the live seafood (picture attached). The way they're treating the lobsters is UNACCEPTABLE- they're clearly overstocking and at the same time showing a complete lack of care for these animals- there were multiple dead ones at the bottom of the tank! This store is like adult Disney! I could spend hours this amazing store it's like food shopping paradise! I drive all the way from Abington to do my food shopping here. They have the best produce section and the meat department is outrageous. Customer service is very helpful because I almost spent over 70.00 on a prime rib that was to big for Christmas. The butcher told me to feed four people that was going to be to much food. I ended up only spending 40.00 on it. I love the fact everyone here is honest. read more

Stopped in on a Sunday night (6 pm) with my two kids, after a colleague how great the store was for her. We were going home down Rte 95, and I had a few grocery items to get. Parking was jammed. Kids were hungry so we scoped out the food court, which is in first area you hit besides fruits/vegs. Lots of stations and my kids went wild. I walked with them and they picked some sushi, noodles, and drinks and sat down at nearby seats. Clean and secure, but my kids are 11 and 13. Food was less than $15. I found the rest of the store just okay. Some items had few brands, like yogurt and eggs. Store layout was difficult to follow, except the food court, veg/fruit, seafood, deli, dairy and meat. Prices seem okay, if not higher than Shaws. OK for a few items and to pick up some food court snacks, but I will not be here regularly read more

Really nice Wegmans location. Very clean, aisles clear, items decently priced. I never knew there was a Wegmans in this area and had to stop once we spotted it. Busy time of day but it wasn't overwhelming like it can sometimes be (especially at the Burlington location). I loved the alcohol section. They had some great displays up. Had all the standard Wegmans items. I was disappointed some of the soups were low and hadn't been replenished as I love their soups. The line went very fast which was great as it was pretty crowded being a Saturday. Huge shopping area that was a bit tricky to escape from. I'd go back on a quieter day next time. read more

I'd really love Wegmans! Beautiful, clean, well stocked store with friendly staff. I routinely shop at Stop and Shop and Whole Foods and the prices are equal or less. All the Wegmans brand products I have purchased have been of good quality. The gluten free blueberry waffles are amazing and a box of 8 is only $1.79!!! The coupons sent to my house are wonderful. There are many nice small touches such as umbrellas to borrow, a variety of carts, recycling bins in addition to trash cans in the entry way, friendly reminders in the parking lot to bring in your reusable shopping bags (I always forgot them but not anymore!), and a tidy/spacious bottle/can return center with a sink. I never have to wait in long lines. There are many staff throughout the building and they genuinely seem happy. It makes me happy to see a company that employs so many staff and must treat them pretty well too. The app is nice but would be even better if it had some coupons on it. Only things I haven't been able to find are bacon bits (Hormel brand), and fish food. Keep up the excellent work! read more

I do not understand any ratings for this store that are higher than a 3. The prices run good and bad. Some of them are 20-30% too much, others are 20-30% cheaper. So, overall, it is probably a wash. Overall, it's just another store for people who want Market Basket prices but wouldn't set foot in an MB. read more

Easily the best place to chill with their big lounge...and that's with half of it closed off due to COVID! Staff is very nice with very few exceptions. Their spacious parking lot at the plaza there easily beats the other local markets...most have rather crampy lots where you swear you're going to be in a small accident of some type. The mailbox out front is key. It can be crowded if you can deal with that. People like going there obviously especially small families. Oh yeah if you get a sandwich they have Spicy Mayo! It's orange and quite awesome. I wish they had little containers of it or packets etc for when you get other stuff elsewhere like when you buy a breakfast sandwich at the cafe they have in a diff place around the corner. Salsa sauce like MacDonald's has would be good too. So bummer, that's why only 4 stars. read more
