This is the closest Wegmans to my home, so I frequent this location most often. I really wish their prepared foods section could offer more variety (such as Indian), as it feels like the same options every time I go searching for something quick to grab for dinner. I am familiar with where everything is in this location, but I feel they lack the variety that some of the other larger stores offer...hopefully in time they can consider expanding or at least mixing it up more. This has been my Wegmans for nearly 7 years. I have never had any issues shopping here and this location lives up to what we have all come to expect from Wegmans; good selection, high quality products, excellent customer service. I have shopped here every time day or night and the store always is well stocked, clean, and I can find someone to help me get something if I need it. Special shoutout to the bakery who have many times had fresh baked goods ready for me very early in the morning after I called ahead. I also use the pharmacy here and have never had an issue with them. They have taken care of both doctor as well as insurance issues before I even knew about them. Very efficient and professional. They have made good changes and updates over the years including new stand up frozen foods cases, expanded beer market, wide variety of prepared foods as well as an ever increasing Nature's Marketplace. They have easy bottle returns (including new glass bottle machines, so you don't need to wait for an associate to ring you out), a comfortable cafe, and even do special meals to go outside in the summer (burgers, chicken, etc). The location is general is easy to get both in an out of with the light on Transit across from WalMart, light next to the storefronts of the plaza towards the back of Losson, and another driveway on Losson closer to Transit. read more

Like a previous yelp review, I love a good rotisserie chicken. Two times in the past two weeks I have gone here around dinner time (5pm) to get a chicken. Both times they had zero. What!? How!? I've lived near 3 other wegmans in my life and this is the first one who never has rotisserie chickens available at dinner time. They said I could wait 45minutes for more to be ready. Yeah okay. Do they not plan ahead and make sure enough are cooked for the dinner rush? Do they simply not have the equipment to keep up with demand? There are few things more annoying than driving there, parking and carting a toddler into the store just to find out you need to strap him back in his car seat so you can drive across the street to Walmart. Walmart always has rotisserie chickens ready. But ew, it's Walmart. Ugh. read more

If Heaven actually existed and it were a grocery store, it would certainly be Wegman's. From the overall cleanliness of the store itself, to the vast selection of actual products to the friendly staff...Wegman's has every grocer beat. Hands down. Five stars - ten times over! Even though you claim my whole paycheck each week - I still love you!!! Wegmans ALWAYS has what I need. I am in love with their diverse selection of organics and hard-to-find items!! All of the employees are overly happy and helpful! I was looking for my favorite jam once and asked an employee in the frozen department if they had moved it. The young man walked with me all the way to the produce department to show me. All companies big or small should take lessons from Wegmans on how to hire employees! Free W kids childvare is wonderdul. My gym dosent even do that My shopping buddy no longer wants to shop with me and begs to go to W kids!! I have not one complaint about Wegmans, eespecially this location. The only place I shop. I have their app it's the best. Can get my total bill so I know how much I am going to spend and if I happen to go some place else I can compare prices(wegman's is usually cheaper) the only reason they don't have 5 stars is a lot if the people are crazy when you shop and will run right into you. read more

A few weeks ago i was searching for steaks....t-bone, porterhouse... something with a bone...lol... apparently up here summer ends and so do the good steaks.... couldn't find any descent looking steaks (Tops, Walmart..sucky looking meat)..i go into Wegmans and back by meat department.. asked around no luck...talked to super nice girl...Nikki i believe was her name... she spent 10 minutes on me.. which is a long time when the store is busy.... she was AWESOME!!! she hooked me up with 2 really nice rib eyes...no bone.. but tasted wonderful!!! Man people are really crazy about Wegmans in places out side of Upstate NY, I guess having grown up here it's just a grocery store but in comparison it does has a great prepared foods section if you want to pick up food to eat while you're there. The subs are very good. I'm happy that they have expanded their "natural good-for-you" section. It's located right behind the giant produce section which you walk into when entering the store. Four stars because I wish this section was larger in general -- wegmans is known for their better variety which I constantly hear from everyone but in my opinion it could do a better job featuring more products in this section or better yet just incorporating these brands into the rest of the store - right now it feels like a store within a store. Also one star missing because I personally wish that they had a fresh peanut/almond butter grinding machine - I think it would fit their brand so well!! read more

There are no words to describe the spiritual awakening that I experienced when I first walked into a wegmans at a very young age. But I'll do my best to put it into words to advise you all how much you need to go wegmans if you have never gone. Quickly before we begin I need to let you all know that 1) Danny Wegman is not my father but I wish he was, 2) I will never leave western New York because of this fine establishment. Okay let me begin by telling you that once you step foot in a Wegmans you will never go back to shopping at tops . The fine tile flooring of this grocery store gives me nostalgia of my childhood. The deli is amazing and the food is fantastic. Everything is clean and fresh and there is literally no one who could ever persuade me to NOT go to wegmans for my groceries. Disappointed tonight (7/21/14) when I went into Wegmans Grocery on Transit Road in Depew, NY to get two of their delicious subs and a few other items. I went up to the counter and the two young men told me it was closed. Right above my head was a sign that showed that the sub shop closed at 9 PM. It was 8:45 PM. I went up to someone that looked like the manager, but it wasn't. So, I decided to just get in the check out line with the items I had, when the manager (another young man) walked up to me and asked if there was a problem. I told him what had happened at the sub shop. He offered to make the subs, but it was too late for that ... the whole thing made me uncomfortable and I just wanted to leave. He offered to make them for free. He apologized and said that there was some kind of reason or other that they had to close it early. He only said that after I refused his first two offers (making the subs and then offering them free.) It felt more like some young men wanted to get out of their jobs right at 9pm and were willing to turn away customers to do just that. My son and I were very disappointed in this Wegmans. They need some mature managers there at night to run it right to keep customers from taking their money elsewhere. read more

Wegmans is definitely the best grocery store that is around. No matter the product, if it has the Wegmans name on it is perfect. This is the only store that takes pride in their store brand products. You can tell for sure. There selection is unbeatable compared to any grocery store that I have been to. There prices are extremely reasonable for the quality you are getting in the product. Yes the prepared foods and produce sections are amazing, but I can't get past how crowded it is anymore. It is a busy store which I understand, but they have crammed every inch of space with goods. It is very difficult to get around people and maneuver in this store. I'm sure they know what they're doing, because they're obviously quite successful and people keep shopping there, but I would think if there was a little more room people might linger in the store longer and buy more things. Maybe people spend more because they're trapped? I will only be going there now when I absolutely have to. read more
