Super glad a wegmans opened up so close to me! I must admit that my new favorite supermarket is market basket, but I've always loved wegmans and it's nice to know I have it as an option. They'll definitely have anything that you need. My favorite apples are honeycrisps, and other supermarkets only seem to carry them when they're "in season", but I can always rely on wegmans to have them. Another time, I was looking to buy a whole rack of lamb, and of course they came through when all other places fell short (yes, even MB). This location is also just beautiful. On top of the standard layout of produce, hot foods, and other goods, there is a large seating area upstairs. They even have escalators for your cart, so you don't have to leave anything unattended. The bathrooms are very clean, and come with a variety of amenities (toilet seat cleaner, step stool for kids, etc). One complaint I do have is the self check out. It's a weighted system, which most stores employ, but it seems overly sensitive here. You can't scan the next item until it senses you've placed the first one in the bag, and when you try to remove a filled bag it freaks out. Everything about my first review still holds EXCEPT the cashiers are nowhere nearly as friendly or courteous as before. When I spend $80-100.00 I expect at least a thank you but they've been few and far between. Even the deli has been affected. Hopefully their managers pay attention to Yelpers comments. Doubtful! I was disappointed in the pricing of two items. Both products read 2 for $5.00. The register rang up as $2.99 for one, and $3.49 for another. I called and spoke w/customer service, telling me about a club card. I offered to send a copy of the receipt, response, no refunds over the phone. Nicely laid out- feels a bit upscale - lots of different offerings for party items (catering etc). you can also grab food from their a la carte (?) section and even eat there (yep - lunch/dinner at Wegmans!) Staff I have encountered has all been very pleasant and seem to enjoy their jobs. Love that they are open until midnight but I see that probably changing in the future- no one in Burlington is out past nine pm lol Downsides? limited selection on some regular items (butter- what? no Kerry Gold or Kates?!) packaged Bagels (pumpkin? really?) This goes without saying, but wegmans is amazing. It's 9PM and me and bae are eating sushi and pizza in the huge, yet quiet, upstairs dining area and lounge. They are literally open until midnight and STILL have fresh foods that don't make us feel like grease balls for eating late at night when we're out. If you are someone who desires over paying for food, then Wegmans is for you. There scheme is to move displays around constantly, trying to draw customers in. The truth be told, that most of the produce on the floor is rotten before it ever leaves the cooler. I worked for them for several years and I can tell you that each morning every department throws out anywhere between $2000.00 - $3000.00 worth of food in the trash and if you like rodents and fruit flies, you'll feel right at home. Wegmans puts on a good front, but if you look closely, you'll begin to realize that there stores are very dirty and that the majority of the food you are buying is very poor quality. read more

Ah Wegman's! Never knew what they were until I moved to the New England area, and I'm glad I did! They have EVERYTHING you could need!! From a vast array of meats and seafoods to natural and vegan selections; huge selection of fruits/veggies, bakery goodies and a fresh food buffet. To get a full Wegmans experience, go on a busy Saturday early afternoon and then you'll really see the magic! Besides being a massive grocery store, they have a great hot food selection along with their cafe. I came in to grab a quick lunch and ended up with a full grocery cart after trying all their samples! The weekend I went they had a beer tasting and each beer station had an accompaniment sample. I experienced a huge disappointment visited by Wegman's in Burlington yesterday. I purchased $86 in grass fed, organic prime beef. Packages of two of each of these cuts: strip, ribeye and tenderloin. I froze the ribeye and tenderloin and decided to cook and eat the smaller of the two strips for lunch today. As I cut the Cryovac wrap, I noticed a strong smell. I looked at the date on the package. It was stamped purchase or sell by May 9. Hey, I purchased it on May 11! What is going on? Anyway, I took pictures of the packaging and tossed the beef. I called Wegman's, Caitlyn advised me to bring the photos of the packaging in with the receipt and my money would be refunded. She was kind and apologized for the mishap. I checked the other two packages of meat and both were dated May 23. I told Caitlyn I was disappointed during my first visit because the organic veggies were old and wilted and I asked three different people where two items were and they gave me incorrect info and no one offered to actually help me find them, so I left without purchasing them. I drove 55 miles to try Wegman's because others rave about the store. Now I have to drive back to get a refund. I may call it quits and cut my losses because I'd be almost spending what it costs in time and gas! For sure, I will not visit on a Friday early evening again. This store is open from 6:00A to midnight, seven days a week, they should be restocking constantly. Live and learn. read more

Wegmans has an extensive gluten free section, but (and I hate myself for this) they still don't beat the selection for this type of diet at Whole Foods. There are still a few items I can ONLY get at Whole Foods, which is a little annoying. That said, I still make it a point to come here. I often end up purchasing sushi rolls for lunch -- all made with non gluten-containing ingredients. This is super convenient! Wine and beer selection is awesome and prices are reasonable. I went to stock up for a party recently and wasn't thrilled at their paper plate, napkin, etc. selection. Pro tip: the bottled organic "Wegmans" brand tomato puree, 'passata,' is direct from Italy and absolutely delicious for making sauce with. read more

Umm, can we get Wegmans in Memphis??? I was blown away by the amount of options packed (and it was PACKED) inside the store. My only true gripe about the store was that the aisles were so tight you could easily get stuck or have to back up to let another person come down the aisle from the opposite direction. Besides the tight aisles, this place is awesome! It has an expansive produce section, a bakery with nearly every baked good you could imagine or want, a rather large cheese section with an olive bar, prepared foods/ deli section hosting some imaginative dishes, and a hot bar that was three different sections. I made my way over to the health/beauty section to pick up a few things and they had a nice mix of both conventional and more health-conscious brands. I also really like that they have wine at nearly every turn and just when I thought my selections were over, I ended up at the entrance to a wine room nearly a third the size of the rest of the store -- SCORE! I was only stopping in to pick up a few goods to take on the Woods Hole ferry, but I was not disappointed in their selections across the board, including their private label. Also, the prices were much cheaper than Whole Foods while offering a lot of the same brands. Try the jalapeño corn cakes in the prepared foods section and pick up a bottle or two of the Ruby Red Grapefruit Rosé -- it's less than ten bucks, tastes great, and is perfect for a picnic! read more

pretty reliable for groceries, but definitely overpriced. it can be difficult to find help at times, as well. i like that the app allows you to create a virtual shopping list and organizes it based on the layout of the store - it makes trips much easier and more efficient. my main complaint is that there isn't much attention to quality - i have bought two separate items in the past couple of months that were already expired. it would be nice if they could check the dates while stocking, but for now i am checking expiration dates on everything before i put it in my cart. read more

I like wegmans but they need to do something about the flies. They are all over the baked goods like bagels, muffins etc. I'd be weary to eat anything "fresh" until they figure out a way to keep the critters out of their food. read more

However they don't require employees to wear masks so they are walking around without masks and chatting with you like nothing special was going on; the guy who lets you enter has no mask. They don't care if customers don't wear masks. Aisles are not one way so people don't space themselves. As one in a vulnerable group I do not feel safe going there any longer. Nearby Whole Foods in Bedford is better about these things and I've heard that the market basket on Middlesex turnpike is really a safe place to shop. I never thought that a grocery store would be good enough for me to write a review on it - but Wegmans is the BEST. Although I go to several of the other locations, Burlington is my favorite. The store is huge but well-organized so you can get what you need and be in and out quickly if you need. However, it is fun to wander around and see all that there is to see. The prepared foods are delicious, alcohol/wine selection is massive, and prices are great. Sundays can be busy but there are tons of registers open to make things run smoothly. Torn between 2 and 3 stars on this review. Went with 3 to give them the benefit of the doubt, but "meh" definitely describes how I feel about Wegman's more than "a-ok" does. The Pros: - Great hours! 6a-midnight is unbeatable. - Covered parking! (If you can find a spot) - Incredible selection of vegan specialty products! There are a few things they don't carry which is a little disappointing, but overall the sheer amount of options is comparable to Whole Foods. - The employees in the alcohol section are incredibly knowledgeable and helpful. The Cons: - The produce selection :( I've been in several times thinking that it'll get better, but it sadly never does. Zucchini with enormous gashes, apples with big brown spots and holes, practically naked onions, heads of garlic torn apart and clearly missing several cloves. Most recently I was in on a Saturday afternoon. The apples were all but gone and the bananas were COMPLETELY wiped out. No employees to be found within the whole department. - The prices. My family and I typically spend about $70/week at Market Basket. A comparable shopping trip here is $100+. - The cashiers. I've had different cashiers each time, but they all have seemed exhausted and unfriendly. - Always packed. This Wegmans isn't nearly as good as the one in Rochester that I shopped at for 25 years. The Burlington Wegmans produce is often not completely restocked until well after 10 AM. Today I bought what I thought were oranges that were packaged in an orange bag that said premium citrus on it only to find out when I got home and looked at my receipt that it was in fact a bag of small orange grapefruit, which I cannot eat. Multiple times I have been charged the wrong amount, always in their favor, for produce like yams. They also have much longer lines at the check out than I ever experienced in Rochester. In general, the Burlington store simply doesn't live up to the high standards that Wegmans has set in their hometown. read more

I love the Northborough Wegman's. This one is fine. The employees on the floor are great. The store also has a lot of cool features. The last couple of cashiers have been concerning. I would base it on two stars on solely the cashiers. Wegman's requires a card to get the sale items. I am not a fan of it, but it is what it is. I cannot remember a cashier ever asking for a card. I have forgot to put it in at times and the times i remember, it usually takes a nice sum off. If your cashiers don't make it a part of ringing people up, maybe get rid of them (the cards not the cashier) It may be luck of the draw, the one last night was not friendly at all. read more

I go here at least three times a week- I live in RI and work in Waltham. It's my favorite grocery store- I have celiacs and am also vegan. They have tons of things for both and they are priced really well compared to whole foods. However, I have this specific bagel/ bread I have been getting for years there called "O Doughs" and today I went and it's completely gone- not even a tab anymore for it- I noticed it would sell out a lot so I tend to stock up when I can since I eat this everyday. What they have now for bagels that are vegan and gluten free Ive tried and they are horrible. I tried toasting them, microwaving them and they are hard like a rock. And then there is the excessive amount of Udis/ Against the Grain which have eggs in them and I can't have. It's great to have a BUNCH of gluten free breads/ items but the fact that a lot of us are also allergic to eggs slips their minds. Can you get back those bagels? Also, why does your tofu always look like its been ransacked? Tofu isn't that great or that in demand so there's no reason why there should be like 2 packages every time I go- I end up going to another super market on the way home to buy it. This is where I go when I have my fat fuck days. Sometimes I just feel like a giant fat fuck so I come here for lunch. They have food from all over the world: Italian, Mexican, Chinese, Indian. But of course I go for the fat fuckish American food. Fat fuck mozzerella sticks, fat fuck chicken wings, fat fuck fries. I'm not surprised when they weigh my food and it comes out to be astronomical! Wegmans is my favorite grocery store. I went to college in Rochester and was interoduced to Wegmans. Since then every other grocery store seems to lack in comparison. Sure some grocery stores are better in one area or another but overall Wegmans is the best. Even when it is busy it doesn't feel crowded. Their prepared food is great although a bit expensive. No one is forcing it on you so it is a good option. They have a few options for food to eat before or after you shop. They have great bread and desserts. I recommend their mini chocolate chip cookies. They have great store brand versions of many items. Often times I like the store brand items better than the name brand, plus they are almost universally cheaper. Their kombucha spritzers are great as is their oat milk. I could go on. You are also able to find the niche item you are looking for with much more consistency than other stores. Their app tells you where things are and you can order for curbside delivery very easily through the app or on your computer. I highly recommend you give Wegmans a try and once you get comfortable with the layout and organization of the store you will love it. read more

I have been a huge promoter of Wegmans since I first went to the place in Ithaca NY during college. I'm super excited that they opened one in Burlington, even though it's far from me. Luckily I travel for work and I go by all three Massachusetts locations on a regular basis. Be careful of the prices. They vary wildly from store to store. I did a wide price comparison between The Wegmans In Northboro, Burlington, and the Market Basket in Hooksett NH and Hannaford in Manchester NH and found Wegmans in Burlington to be right on par with Market Basket in Hooksett. Produce was cheaper at MB but everything else was just about the same -- even a little less when you buy Family Packs at Wegmans. However, the Wegmans in Northboro is MUCH more expensive than the Burlington one, with the items I looked at running 40-60c higher in Northboro than the exact same items in Burlington. Interesting. Mostly on National Brands, Store brands were consistent. Hannaford is overpriced when compared with the MB and Burlington Wegmans. At least 10% higher overall...my price comparison featured about $220 worth of varying items throughout the store. In summary, I will continue to shop at Wegmans in Burlington. I like the atmosphere better than Market Basket, and Wegmans has the BEST store brands and the prepared food is amazing! read more

Wegman's is a supermarket experience like no other. The Burlington location is in a great location and they have their own parking garage to boot! When I walked into Wegman's for the first time I can honestly say that I was overwhelmed with all of the different parts of the market. There is a HUGE high quality prepared foods section and cafe showcasing cuisines from different areas. The deli, meat counter and seafood are incredible; they showcase great quality provisions (and fresh oysters too!). The selection of regular groceries is great as well and I found that their house goods are equal if not better in quality and price in comparison to the competition. I call this the amusement park of supermarkets. My husband hates to grocery shop but he was so taken by Wegman's, so that's a good sign for sure. Can't wait to go back! read more

This place is a living hell on Sundays. The (admittedly huge) selection is organized in no particular way. For example, there's some cheese at the cheese counter, some at the deli counter, and some in the dairy section, but no overlap, so you have to run around between them. Basically, Wegman's is great if you're looking for nothing in particular but a giant crowded obstacle course if you're looking for specific items. The confusing layout wouldn't be so bad if I could have asked someone where things are, but the few staff I saw were always pushing pallets around and staring blankly ahead. Past the bells and whistles, this is just an expensive supermarket. The grocery selection is good, beer selection is okay. The prices are considerably higher on average than Market Basket up the street, though Wegman's will go to silly lengths to highlight anecdotal examples where this is not the case. The loss leaders at the front of the store can be a very good deal, but you give that money back if you do the rest of your shopping here. There is a wide variety of prepared food, but it's not exceptional. Parking is ample. read more

My NY friends raved about this grocery store. I would giggle and laugh saying silly things like "oh yes SURE it's the best grocery store in the world..." But I had no idea what I was talking about. THIS IS THE BEST GROCERY STORE. Think market basket meets wholefoods with a liquor store attached. Rarely do I come here and not find (literally) everything I'm looking for. It's HUGE and I have to remind myself not to go hungry. Their bakery is out of control delicious. Often my hubby & I will go for lunch here in their marketplace as the fresh sushi & hot bars are epic. And there is seating. And coffee!! They have a really large bulk section, a great international, gluten free and speciality section. They also have pretty decent sales and some of the stuff we need to get is Market Basket pricing (the more generic stuff usually). Get their newsletter & sign up for the card (then attach it to your phone number so you don't need to remember to bring it). It's a really Great grocery store. Come check it out!! Oh, and it's so big it has an upstairs. For corporate meetings and extra room to eat your snacks. This place is dangerous and you could end up broke pretty quickly, so go with a list and a plan! read more

Wegmans has star power in its homeland, but has faltered badly in its two Boston-area locations. After three visits, I'm done with the Burlington store. It's poorly-stocked (I shop in the evenings), with some areas closed off and covered with tarps. The vegetable selection is tired and often wilted. The cheese staff have departed by the time I get there. "Fresh-baked" items in the bakery are often hard, after having sat out all day; in any case, there's no one to ask about fresher alternatives. The hot bar/salad bar seems less inviting for vegetarians than in stores I've encountered elsewhere. The selection of boxed black tea is shameful, especially given the ridiculous space dedicated to coffee. Management on duty seems to want to be helpful, but can't address the systemic issues. The self-service checkout malfunctioned four times in the course of an attempted purchase yesterday. That's when I decided I was done. I have found these conditions to be the case in each of my visits. Wegmans is dedicated to coffee-drinking, meat-loving, bread-ignorant suburbanites who can shop during the day when selection and service are optimal. So I see I'm not their target demographic. I cannot express how bitterly disappointed I am in this translation of Wegmans I am. The only solace I can take is that this store is better than their horrible Chestnut Hill location. read more
