H Mart I last visited H Mart in Georgia when I lived there, and I absolutely love shopping there! They have everything and anything I could need. Plus, when I find something I don't need, I end up buying it too. When you first get in, they have a wonderful vast food court with mostly Korean dishes, which I love, but the seafood section is just amazing. Great Korean supermarket with good produce and a great assortment of premade/ready to eat and ready to cook Korean dishes. I love stopping by for side dishes and kimchi, and the selection of meat and seafood is nothing to laugh at! My single complaint is that this location is so popular! Parking was full in the early afternoon on a weekend and we had to wait a few moments to get a spot from someone leaving. Recently in H Mart - Burlington, I came across a section with Asian beer and wine. It is by Oh!K-Dog & Egg Toast and a section with beauty products. There are soju and makgeolli. What I absolutely love love love is the Taiwan Beer Lychee. This beer is a fruit beer and 3.5% ABV. It has a fresh strong lychee fruit aroma and you can smell it once you open the can. It comes in a pack of 6. The beer is light and very yummy. I am so glad I gave the Taiwan Beer Lychee a shot and that H Mart carries it. read more

I love this place. I love it. Love. It. Asian infused supermarket meets BJ's meets Costco. However, if anyone is near Burlington Mass. and you're looking for really good produce, definitely find this place. I mean the pineapple I bought here would have been the best pineapple Market Basket or Hannaford would ever have. Aside from amazing produce, they sell a ton of fresh seafood. Then you get to the prepared section, which is massive. Next comes the Food Court which has about five or six restaurants you can sit and eat at, which are all Asian including a Sushi place I really want to try next week. Prices are reasonable considering how high quality the food they sell. Lastly, I stopped at the bakery section and picked up some really yummy custard cream pastries. Yeah...I love it. I didn't feel like I was in the US while I was there, until I left and tried to escape the parking lot (Be careful, it's tight and usually crowded). I'm getting all my produce here from now on. Had heard a lot about this store from friends and colleagues and everything I'd heard is true! It's a huge store that has everything all things Asian and more! Plus a tantalizing bakery plus a food court. Went here for the first time a few days back on a Friday night because we happened to be in the area and thought we'd stop here and get food at their food court. Little did we know that the food court closes around 8ish pm! But the store was still open so we decided to get some prepared foods to go. We were walking around browsing and ran into my co-worker and she pointed us to the prepared foods section. We picked up a stir-fried rice, spicy cucumber, chicken dish, lobster roll and a slice of marble cake that the hubs picked out. Came home and ate the food which was all quite yummy! Since we were hungry we didn't really spend that much time in the store but will definitely be back to check it out properly. Although from all I've heard parking is crazy especially on the weekends. So we'll have to plan timing strategically. This time around a Friday night parking was pretty easy at around 8:30pm. The store is nice and bright and huge and you can clearly spend a few hours here! Not sure why this location has so much vibe. You can never find a parking spot. The prices are higher than Whole Foods. The fast food and Asian food here are not above average. The fresh Taiwanese bakery is good but sorry I lived in San Francisco enough to be picky about Asian bakeries. Service was great. FYI: I come here mainly for the green long beans. Hmart Burlington has been our go to store for fresh fish for over 12 years now. Lots of variety if fresh seafood that you don not find anywhere else. Lots of fresh produce and variety of frozen snacks and dessert options. Definitely can be a one stop shop for all North East Asian cooking needs. Service can be hit or miss, a lot of staff working there barely speaks English, so finding and getting the right help is hard; hence the 4 stars. Parking can be tricky to find specially on weekends. But the checkout lines are always quick and efficient. Cannot forget the food court and tous le jours bakery. The food and bakery both are pricey. The manager in H mart is such an errogant. I went there on 3/3 night time for a grocery shopping and was surprised for the total price but it turned out additional expensive groceries were charged which I didn't buy. Before I found out the item was charged I told him the groceries are quite expensive. And he treated me like a bum who is not supposed to come to the store without enough money and not supposed to complain for the price. I felt so bad for his attitude because I am a customer and he should've checked what's going on first and apologize for the item included and charged incorrectly. But he never said anything but looking at me with such a bad attitude which make me feel a low class. I advise H mart to train him better and I think he should be trained for service before being positioned as a manager. I strongly believe he's not the right person for his position. read more

I have always loved this H Mart. It is HUGE. There is a humongous selection of more exotic fruit that I grew up with. There are so many groceries that I could never get at a regular American store. Their produce section is enormous and stock full of all the ingredients you would need to make classic asian dishes. I love their selection of sauces and asian snacks. One could get lost in the noodle aisle, there is just so many to choose from. And true to asian supermarkets, they sell bowls, chopsticks, rice cookers etc. The prices are pretty fair overall. The place is pretty big, and the items seem to be more organized and well-stocked. We've stopped here a couple of times to pick up some scallions, tofu, banchan, and snacks. Full parking lot but I understand it gets packed some times of the week. This is a better H Mart compared to the one in Cambridge. it is more spacious and seems to have more stuff. I came here for sashimi for dinner. By the way, do not come here in the 2 hours before they close because they start to put away the seafoods early. I was disappointed that I couldn't get the clams and I had to ask the guys to get the shrimps that they started to put away. This was exactly 1 hour before closing too. I attached pictures of their sashimi section and the dinner I had from this place. They are all good foods. The sea urchin uni was the only thing that was slim pickings as most of the colors didn't look fresh. Overall, great spot in Burlington. Definitely will come back. I can't sing high enough praise for HMart. Even during peak pandemic times, the store stayed well stocked and employees were constantly stocking shelves, cleaning, and ensuring lines moved smoothly. Shoppers are now required to wear masks, which is preferable to me. There is a sanitation station outside for customers to wipe down their carts with before they shop. I also saw them washing all the carts one morning. For certain things, this place is good. As in, if you want to buy rice and seaweed. I spent $100 there yesterday and I've had to throw half of it out. The produce was old, the berries were moldy, the sushi grade fish I bought was so gross and inedible. There's a shortage in workers I'm sure, but they should really clean up the place and check what they've put out. I tried to check the quality of the produce as much as possible but some of it you can't, until you buy it and open it. There's also a lot of products they had but no longer have which is pretty frustrating. Moving things around the store without notice is kind of annoying. The aisle signs should be consistent, which they are not. Most importantly, I couldn't go near the seafood area without feeling nauseous. That should have been a red flag not to buy any fish there. It's hard to find a good Asian market these days, so I hope H mart cleans up. The people working there could be nicer too. read more

The Burlington H Mart is always an exciting trip to make. The prices are so much more reasonable than the Cambridge H Mart (still more expensive than H Marts I've been to in MD, CA, IL) -- for many of my staples, the prices can be almost half of what they are in Cambridge. My go-tos are the tofu (~1.29-1.49 per block of soft tofu, $2-3 for pressed tofu), vegetables (bok choy, scallions, napa, daikon), fish balls ($5.99/lb), shabu meat (used to be $12.99/lb during beginning of pandemic, now back to ~$16/lb), beef shank (for beef noodle soup!), and swai fish fillets. I also go to restock on dried goods, sauces, and 40lb bags of rice. The produce is high quality. We always do hotpot and dumpling nights after H Mart trips. My only complaint would be that the ground pork looks quite weird (super opaque), so I never get the ground pork at this H Mart (McKinnon's Meat Market in Davis is more expensive but the ground pork is good quality). I come here about once a month so I keep a list of all the things I'm running low on for the next H Mart trip. I avoid the Cambridge H Mart as much as possible due to the high prices. Through a combination of the Allston Super 88 and the Burlington H Mart, my Asian grocery needs in Boston living are met! They also have a 5% discount for students on T,W,R so I try to plan my trips for those days. read more
