Related items are placed far from one another so you have to walk across the entire store (and impulsively pick up more things to buy along the way). Wegmans is a great store. Their prices are good and it is very clean. Their meals in their Marketplace are tasty but a bit pricey. My only negative is their produce department. Over the years I've found that their produce is not the freshest and tastiest. Stop & Shop and Market Basket have far better produce. read more

I came on 10/26 for the opening. It was so crowded I couldn't get much done although I did pick up some of their cheese and a muffin. Since then I've been back for organic burritos and indian food. Such great service here, in love! Along with the great variety of everything both organic and not, they have A+ prices. I live in Bedford and the drive to Burlington is not too bad for me. I enjoy being able to know that there will be lots of parking when I arrive. I think it's quiet clever they name the parking section by fruits/veggies to help remember. Wegmans makes me happy. Confusing at first, but it's really broken up into 4 sections. Liquor in the first quarter to the left, groceries next, fresh fruit & veggies after that, then......the hot & ready buffets! Anything from vegetarian/vegan to chicken wings! Their salad bar is extensive and delicious. The food is always fresh. So many people eating there can't be wrong. **updated review** I wanted to update my previous review because although it was a HORRIBLE experience I did end up giving them another shot. I visit this store 2-3 times a month and am usually pretty satisfied with everything. They have a respectable selection of organic produce and other products and the prices are usually on level with other grocery stores. I will say that you have to check the produce thoroughly as I've found a lot of rotten items on the shelves. But with some due diligence you can usually find a good selection. There has never been a repeat of the horrible staff interaction I had when the store first opened, and thankfully I've only found the staff helpful and nice since. The store has a liquor section which is super convenient for someone like me who would almost never go out of my way to visit a standalone package store. I can grab whatever while I get my other groceries. I'm honestly not sure how the prices compare in that department. read more

A few weeks ago I was looking for a particular sushi roll. When finding out they no longer made the roll I was looking for the sushi man told me to call ahead of time and it would be no problem. Save your money and stick with Market Basket. Selection is nice, but over priced. Went there on Christmas Eve to buy shrimp (which is same quality as Hannefords but more money). Got to the checkout and the unpleasant middle aged cashier scolded me for moving my empty basket to the next lane then proceeded to try to engage in an argument in front of a line of people. It was humiliating and bizzare. If we had not needed the shrimp, I would have left it at the register and told the cashier to take her meds. I will never be back. read more

As your usual grocery store - it can be very expensive. However the sushi and bakery departments are so worth it! Always a good selection of both areas. Some of the name brands the don't carry - but some they do... so if you have a favorite they may have it or not... which can be disappointing. The catering department is great! We visit this Wegman's once per week, usually earlier in the morning on a Saturday to avoid the crowds. It's a vast foodie paradise. Local, fresh produce. Hard to find items for those who cook interesting things. Extensive fish and meat selection. The deli is amazing and there is affordable wine, beer, and liquor. Get a Shopper's Club card and their app if you're smart. You can build your grocery list (with price totals), and it shows you the aisle you can find the goods. You can also save cash by scanning your card via your phone at checkout. read more

I'm two and a half weeks into my love affair with Wegmans. I've gone twice this week. Each time buying a fancy cheese and salami that I didn't need...and don't even get me started on the cheese rolls. I love how this store has a gigantic selection of Organics, but that I can also buy my non-organic staples, like peanut butter for my pooch. The variety of grass fed meat/poultry is amazing. Love going Wegmans! Love the selection of groceries, bakery is top notch! Your beef and chicken are awful! Hamburger will last in the fridge red for a full week - they must use a lot of sledge filler. The chicken is very tough and pumped with antibiotics unless you buy organic. Sooooooo not a fan of your meat which makes my shopping expand to Whole Foods. The beef skewers at meat counter are awful! Tough and not eatable. Hence my 3 rating. read more

I love this place. The food is decently priced, and the store is huge. They have a great café, and a big selection of foods, beers and liquors. The parking garage is big, so you'll never have a problem finding a space, and the staff seem very helpful for such a new establishment in the area. I do all my grocery shopping there, and will continue to do so. read more

When Wegmans first opened I was excited and stopped shopping at Market Basket. The number of choices was extensive. But since then their quality has declined and the staff actively avoids helping customers - which is against Wegmans policy, but there's no one to police them. So I'm back to shopping at Market Basket, which is a very nice, affordable supermarket with great customer service. read more

I LOVE WEGMANS!! My mom works near the place and would bring delicious pastries once in awhile. I decided to go one day and I'm glad I did because my jaw dropped when I entered. I was in food heaven. We spent a total of 3 hours there just looking through all the different types of foods. They had everything from Asian to Italian to American. (All around the world section) If you complain it's pricey, it's because it's high quality. They have a great showcase of it all. For lunch I had a rainbow sushi roll and roast beef sandwich with lettuce and cheese. It was all exquisite. No words. It was heaven wrapped in fresh rice. And the bread on the roast beef was to die for. Wegman's also has their own parking garage which is great and upstair seating to eat the delicious food you just bought! This is my supermarket now. The best way I describe Wegmans to people I've never been there is that its a combination of the food quality of Wholefoods and the prices of Market Basket. The store has everything from name brands to local organic options. They have a liquor store, bakery, candy store, sushi bar, lunch buffet, etc. you name it they have it. Their store brand items are just as good as name brand items, the pizza sauce they sell themselves is always pleasing. Prices are slightly higher than market basket, but you have a much shopping experience here. read more

I love this new grocery store. 2 International Isle's are very impressive. Produce is very fresh and the baked goods are delicious. The meat is very expensive but they have things that the other supermarkets don't carry like Venison, rabbit and wild boar. The place is huge. Bigger than a Walmart. I just wish they would build one closer to my home in Peabody. I think it's worth the trip so I go shopping all the way to Burlington from Peabody. read more

Good for select shopping but the food court is seriously lacking. This place obviously has a great selection. You will find many things you wont find at market basket but then again, market basket has them beat by far when it comes to price. The cold cut area for example is substantially cheaper at market basket. But if you are looking for something unique, then go to Wegmans for that but I would continue to do my core shopping at market basket. As for the food court at Wegmans, it started off much better. But now, the food always looks old. And they charge something like 8.99 per pound. This is similar to whole foods but whole foods offers a better selection and the food always looks fresher. If you do go to the Wegmans food court, I would recommend getting a freshly made sandwich or a slice of pizza. It is a shame they don't do a better job with the food court since so much of the store is dedicated to tables (inside and outside) for it. read more

I lost a very valuable piece of jewelry not know where I traced my tracks over the weekend and one of the last places I called was Wegmans. My thought was if I lost it there it was gone forever. Boy was I wrong, a simple phone call brought joy back into my life as I was told to describe it, with a very nice voice on the end of the phone I heard "its here". I ran down to the store and was given a very secure bag with the date found and a number code on the bag. I asked who found it? I would like to leave a reward. The insisted it was not necessary. It was probably their cleaning crew who turned it into security and that is what they do. Believe me this company cares about their customers to go these extra steps to do the right thing. I will alway have this memory of this store as an ethical company and highly recommend everyone to shop with confidence they have your best interests in mind. After a few visits I can say, "This won't replace Market Basket". Great fruits & vegetable section, their hot food and prepared food area delivers what they promise, but as far as shopping goes, groceries are hard to find. Very little selection on most items like eggs, pasta, condiments, and more. Example; they carry Poland Springs water, but not Poland Springs Sparkling water? They do have many international foods. They carry a 2 or 3 brands of olives, but they dedicate almost an entire isle to loose candy & nuts. The short isles do not allow for ease of movement from one to another. On the bright side, they have a full liquor store at good prices, and the best parking system I've seen in MA. Current stores should take a page from Wegman's parking lot. If I need to pick up already prepared meals I'll go there, but if I just want to shop for dinner, I'll stick with my store. read more

I'm sooooo happy to finally have a Wegmans nearby. I grew up in upstate NY, so like everyone else from that area I'm a little obsessed. Here's just a few reasons why: Prepared food is to die for, especially the subs and sushi. Also, you can't beat freshly made meals for $6. All store-brand items through the supermarket are better or equal to brand name. Produce quality is way better than anywhere else. Huge selection of Gluten free, organic, and international food. The Wegmans App is amazing. Download it, then search for recipes or products, view prices, add them to your shopping list, and it reorganizes them by aisle to show you where to find them in the store. Excellent customer service. Wegmans doesn't just say it, they live it. Ask any team member and they are happy to help you find something. Not sure what to buy? Ask. They'll have you sample deli or cheese items if you're not sure. Great lunch spot for convenience or stopping by with work friends, they have plenty of indoor and outdoor seating (with fireplaces). read more

They woo us with cool, relaxing music and the atmosphere makes me want to shop for more groceries- as much as anyone could want to I suppose. I was really looking forward to going to Wegman's for the first time..and its OK, but the hype is bigger than the product. The selection is obviously enormous, but the store isn't laid out in a way that makes it easy to find things (why is there cheese in five different locations?). My main purpose for coming here was to check out the selection of organic produce - Wegman's boasts that they own an organic farm in NY - but on the day I visited the organic produce was terrible. The display was half empty, and what was there was wilted or dried out; this was 8am on a Friday morning. Price wise they don't compete with Market Basket on most items I looked at. The fresh seafood was just OK looking, and very expensive (wild salmon $28 a lb?). However, the beer/wine selection is extensive and priced very competitively. There's a huge selection of ready made food which I didn't investigate as I was there to shop, not eat. I don't know if this was an off day for this store, but I plan to stick with Market Basket and an occasional foray to Whole Foods. read more

I don't get the hype. I still prefer Roche Brothers in Burlington. I live in Winchester by Whole Foods. Whole Foods, Wilsons Farm, and Roche Brothers are the best. Stop&Shop sucks- disgusting meat and produce, that's why they have such low prices, ugh nasty. read more
