This became one of my favorite stops to enjoy when I'm on the road, just in one visit! It's squeaky clean inside. The bathroom is insanely spotless and well-stocked. It smells pleasant, with the grill steaming and sizzling in the background. Everything is made to order and pretty generously portioned. The taco was 2.50 but the right amount on the chicken and cilantro and onion. The quesadilla was crisp and honestly exceeded my expectations. On Tuesdays, tacos are 1.50$!!!!!! They have eggs, ramen, hot water for your ramen, tshirts, fishing bait, candy, chips, cool sodas, and a very delicious looking menu. The Wee Vill market is easy to miss on hwy 138 just before you enter Lancaster. 170 and 190 street. Don't miss it . Hit the breaks and pull in! I was heading to San Diego from Elk Grove (Sacramento County). It was dark, about six o'clock. Fog, cold air, darkness....Sheryl and I were hungry after driving 8 hours. Wee Vill is warm, inviting and we immediately knew this was a home style restaurant featuring all the home style Mexican food a family loves. The menu is large. Everything served is made there...from scratch. I had the special Chicken Shawrma. Sheryl had tacos. The dishes were served hot and quickly. The chef was enthusiastic and anxious to make her guests feel comfortable. The portions did not disappoint. All right look, once in a great while we find that little restaurant in the middle of nowhere that is a gem. Wee Vill is just that type of discovery.....slam on the breaks and get on in. Great family owned local business offering a fine little store for road-trip snacks and an excellent grille for hot food. Prices are fair and portions are excellent. Also a nice picnic area outside with plenty of tables and fences to block the wind. 10/10 Will visit again! read more

Recently purchased by new owners, they no longer take call in orders, or they wait to start cooking it when you get there. My daughter ordered a grilled chicken sandwich, they used a hamburger bun instead of the sourdough, put sweet pickle relish and onions on it. They seem to have no consistency in food preparation and were talking to each other on what the components of the sandwich were. The hometown friendliness is disappearing. Disappointing as we used to order food every Sunday on the way to church, looking for a new place to eat on Sunday mornings now. read more

Pay attention at the cash register! I frequent this place when I am working in the area. The workers are nice, and they have a decent selection, but they recently came under new management. I was told this morning that the new management wants to keep the same menu, but use different prices. I ordered a bacon burrito, and on the menu on the monitors over the kitchen, the price said $8. They were going to charge me $10.75, so when I questioned that, the person behind the counter told me they're using the same menu with different prices. So I cancelled my order! Also, I saw Snapple iced teas were 2 for $2.22, but they rang up at $4 for 2. This isn't the first time I've caught drinks being more expensive than advertised. Seems really shady that the prices on the shelf and menu aren't what I was rung up for at the cash register. Pretty sure that's illegal. I'll plan to get food other places. read more

I've ate here several times and thought the food was decent. A little on the greasy side but hey that's what fast food is all about. Yesterday my girlfriend and I order two bacon breakfast burritos. When I told him I would like bacon burritos he paused like he's wondering if they still have bacon. He went ahead and grilled it up. We ate them on the way home. Later that night my girlfriend came down with horrible sickness. Definitely food poisoning. Other than the burrito she only consumed a icee. That evening I showed no symptoms so I figured it could possibly be a dirty icee machine that got her sick but that all changed around 4am. I came down with food poisoning as well. I don't like putting bad reviews but there's no excuse...you can kill somebody. I hope they read this and take measures so this doesn't happen again. Diverted from I-5 in a 4 hour traffic stoppage, this was the only market open for miles. Had clean restrooms, friendly night staff, and a surprisingly good menu at the deli counter. We had an excellent Bison burger and a huge serving of Rosemary french fries. Fair prices, particularly for an "only place in town" market. The Market had a good selection of basic groceries, camping and fishing supplies, also at reasonable prices. read more

I stop here everytime I am headed towards I-5, as this is on my "truck scale free" route to the Bakersfield area. Been comIing here for years. Plenty of room to park your Rig on both sides of the 138. I've never had an unfriendly experience here, chill people work here. It almost seems like I never get the same people helping me more than a few times, but they are always pleasant. The Market itself actually has a pretty good spread as far as road snacks are concerned. Good beer selection, but I'm never in a position to buy any because I'm on the clock when I come here. They always have Hawaiian Kettle Chips, although when I went in there today they didn't have original flavor. Just Sweet Onion. They also have the Old School Pepsi, Mountain Dew, and Dr. Pepper bottles made with real sugar. They kitchen is legit! They have recently expanded the dining area. No doubt the locals didn't like sitting off to the side anymore. There were several of them getting their breakfast This place has some of the BEST Philly CheeseSteak in Southern California! Its a tad expensive and not too big, but the meat is spilling out of it, and the onions and green peppers have a perfect amount of char on them! The price doesn't deter me, I get this item more than half the times I come here. They made it for me THIS MORNING for breakfast! The fries that come with their combos are always good, and well salted. I've also had their Breakfast Burritos that are also a tad small, but they are GREAT! My Wife agrees, as she went with me on a ride-along one of the times I stopped in. The Jalapeno Poppers are good, but watchout! they are hot! I mean thermally, not chemically. The molten cheese will squirt either into your mouth, or onto your shirt if your not careful. I guess that's the case with most poppers, it just actually happened to me once as I approached Gorman. Six napkin burger was mouthwatering and incredibly tasty. Cheeseburger, a plateful of fries and moderate sized drink cost me $8.45. Someone came in later and ordered a double cheeseburger and I swear it must have been a minimum of 5 inches thick. If you're in the area this is the place to have lunch.
