I was very disappointed with the outcome of my dress. So much so - that I went shopping the day before my wedding, and found a different dress!!! (LUCKY ME!) So - after 2 fittings, and paying over $550 dollars - I didn't even wear that dress... not to mention that it's ruined for any possible wear or sale to someone else in the future.
Although Lynn was very friendly and personable during my 2 fittings - the dress alterations were TERRIBLE!.
- At my first fitting, the lenght was too short. My toes peeped out below. I mentioned this and Lynn said, oh that's good, so everyone can see your pretty shoes. This isnn't what I had in mind, and after looking at wedding dress pictures for over 4 weeks - I have never seen one that is short enough to show the toes and shoes!
- The bottem hem was terrible. The seam was very noticable, and the inside layer hung lower than the outside layer.
- I had asked for straps to be added. At my second fitting, the straps were still about 1/2 inch too long. When I picked up the dress the straps had not been altered, and still fell off my shoulders.
- The press-job looked to be very quick and incomplete - some areas had clearly been missed.
- Their schedule was too packed for me to try on the dress one final time -my only option was to pick up the dress withouth a final try-on. I also had to sign a waiver saying I was pleased with the dress - though, when I got it home, it still clearly had mistakes.
- The price was higher than expected - I hadn't been quoted for the steam/pressing fee, and I believe I was charged for work that wasn't done (such as mending the straps - which never happened)
Overall - I would recommend staying far away from this place, especially with something as special as your wedding dress. read more
