Cheesy bagel with eggs, VT cheddar, apples, mustard, spinach - yum!

My friends and I visited this past week, and we loved Wee Bird! The bagels and coffee are phenomenal. Their services and vibes were lovely. It's bright and sunny and comfortable to hang out. I even used books for sale. I'm looking forward to trying more menu items! The smoothies sounded amazing.

Fresh bagels are always the best bagels!

This place is so cute, friendly, and delicious!!! I visited back in October when I was doing a fall foliage road trip, and it was so good, I went back all 3 days. Morning orchard is amazing and was perfect for the fall vibes I was going for! Literally still thinking about it nearly 6 months later

Cozy place and it was pretty busy on a Friday morning, but not bad wait time for food or coffee.

Are you kidding?! This place should not be in a medical center, but a café all its own! I've…read morenever had food this incredible in any hospital or medical center in my life. More than that, it compares very favorably against most lunch places I've ever been to, as well! Apparently, they are host to a few chefs from the New England School for Culinary Arts, or whatever the school is called. It shows. Day one: autumn harvest pasta with seasonal vegetables and a cider reduction. Say wha...? Day two: cream of onion soup with parsley oil and crab two ways. Okay, that's just insane. And so incredibly delicious! For breakfast, they have homemade granola and locally sourced yogurt with actual vanilla seeds. I was completely floored by the quality of the food. This was an incredible find, and I cannot wait to visit again in the future!

Imagine my deep pleasure and surprise to find that this little gem is one of Randolph's best kept secrets (until now). I had a truly wonderful Nicoise salad...incredibly crisp fresh green beans, tender yummy red potato quarters, capers, tomato quarter, greens and really delicious shrimp, all in a light well seasoned dressing, and the absolutely perfect serving size...all for $5.50. Mind bogglingly good, well priced, and really delicious. I wish I worked next door. I would honestly eat lunch here every single day!

I had an omelet off of the Specials menu with Pineapple, ham and mozzarella...Basically a Hawaiian Pizza but in an omelet. Very good, if you like Hawaiian Pizza. The home fries didn't have much color to them but we're actually cooked through and tasted good With a nice texture. The only draw back was our server, while efficient, had like in the way of people skills. Every interaction was as short as possible. Not bad, just not good. Lots of items to shop for if you are a tourist.

Our server was carol and a young 14 yo assistant named Austin. The place was hopping but you wouldn't know it as Carol and Austin were GREAT!!! Carol is definitely a serving heart kinda gal. We split our delicious meal. It had everything except potatoes so we had a side of those. Smart! Eggs over medium and super good sausage links! One blueberry pancake and one buckwheat. So accommodating to get to choose different pancakes!!! Who does that?!! No restaurant we've ever been. Pancakes delicious. Only wish the syrup was warm. Everything else was perrrfect! Must go!

Charm: 6 stars. Comestibles: 3 stars…read more We took the "back way" home from VT this winter break, a strategy that avoided interstate traffic, but also occasionally situated us behind slow-moving tractors and trucks on one-lane country roads. Overall, we enjoyed the way's meandering charm, especially when we stumbled upon places like Sandy's Books and Bakery in Rochester, VT (which made me immediately think of you, Mercedes). Per the headline, Sandy's is a used bookstore with original, classic, 1960's and 70's era finds from Agatha Chrystie, Isaac Asimov, etc... newer books about foraging, mysticism, and other fun things; locally made candles, soaps, walking sticks, crocheted hats; and locally made food products in / adjoining the cafe. There are numerous rooms on two floors where you can take your time to slow down and enjoy a book. (Fiction, science fiction, horror and mystery are upstairs!) Cafe tables are set up in many of these semi-private reading rooms so you can enjoy a coffee or pastry alongside a good read. Places like this make me swoon and had we not been on the clock, I would've loved to browse for hours and hours. The setup certainly invites that, as do the friendly local patrons. Sadly, we had to peel our children away from smelling each and every homemade soap and candle, and from trying to fence with the beautiful, polished, natural wood walking sticks (pickaxes, our 8 year old called them), and get our food order to go so we could make our an appointment (for race ski sharpening ) in time. What we tried: - Broccoli and potato quiche, made with a gluten free tortilla crust -- delicious and homemade, with tender, custardy egg -- but undersalted by our standards and made with very little cheese. The eggs had an interesting and unexpected faint whiff of vanilla. - Roasted carrot and lentil soup -- soup made with small green lentils was conceptually great, but overly sweet and served with what could've been a wonderful bread roll, but one that was microwaved and inedibly rubbery as a result. We would've enjoyed diced carrots that had been cut smaller than these 2" slices, but that's a preference. - Apple cider donuts -- I'm sure these would've been amazing fresh out of the fryer, but sadly, these spheroids (not rings) of fried dough were dense, oily, and well past peak freshness (two or three days old?) on our Friday morning visit. - Morning glory muffin -- moist, not overly sweet, very good - Cafe au lait -- you're told to fill a mug with pre-made coffee from the dispenser and to come to the counter for the steamed / frothed milk, which was unexpected for me. The coffee on our visit was watery. Baked goods (including cookies of all sorts), looked so lavish and amazing that I'd come again to try other items, but really, it's the overall experience that charms. Food and drink may not be the winning components, but perhaps I don't mind when a bookstore is so darn welcoming and charming. Bookmarking for a return visit.
