We needed a fix on our business door and I called around several places. After getting several responses and a look at it, he gave me quote as to what it would cost if he were to come out. He stated that if he were to come out and couldn't fix the issue at the time, he would not charge, and that seemed fair. He was however, to fix it within the time frame of the hourly rate he provided and my husband was super grateful about it. I would definitely reach out again if I need additional services. Thanks again!

What set Steve apart was his willingness to rearrange his schedule to accommodate me. Since the repair required my water heater to be removed, I was without hot water, and Steve made sure to fit me in quickly so I wouldn't be inconvenienced for long. His estimate was spot-on, both in terms of time and cost. The repair was completed in about half a day, just as he promised, and his charges were very reasonable. Update: I don't know how to respond to the response below, so I am doing it here…read more No, I did not receive an estimate, and I did send my follow-up text to the direct number you provided below. None of this communication ever happened through Yelp. When you left my house, you said you would text me the quote, which I already found a little unusual because I normally receive quotes by email. I was therefore waiting to receive the quote by text through the number you provided below. That was the only number we had been communicating through. After a couple of days, when I still had not received anything, I sent a follow-up text to that same number asking when I could expect the quote. I received no response, and I still have not received an estimate. After remediation, I contacted VDO Remodeling for an estimate for restoration work. Denys from VDO Remodeling came to my house for a completely normal consultation and said he would provide a line-item estimate. The visit itself went fine, but I never received the quote. After a couple of days, I followed up by text to ask when I could expect it, but received no response. A frustrating waste of my time. If you're not interested in taking on a project, just say so. It's basic professional courtesy.

First, I'll admit this review is for work done years ago, and they could be much better now... but…read moreI just uncovered more work they did in my house that has pushed me over the edge and a negative review is warranted, which I almost never give. They were hired as a sub contractor for a remodel I was doing. I ultimately fired them after uncovering incompetent work that Sam was doing himself. I then re-did most of their work while the walls were open, but I didn't catch all of it apparently. Now after years, I keep finding surprises... the latest of which was a ceiling light that they decided to use the ground (bare copper) as a shared neutral and use the hot and neutral both as hot so they could install a switch to control the light and fan separately without fishing another run of romex. I was in the middle of a major remodel, and would have happily had them cut all the drywall to run a new line to the fan... but nope... they took the lazy way out and just did some backwoods electrical crap. Thanks Sam... this is truly fun... I love finding all the things you took lazy short cuts on. I'm glad I fired you when you couldn't figure out how to wire a GFCI in my bathroom because of a shared neutral. I feel really sorry for the average home owner who is trusting that the work is done right, and the poor electricians that follow Sam and have to explain to home owners that they have to fix everything done before. And note, if you think that the county code inspectors will catch these things... 99% of the time they won't.
