The owner asked me to contact them and said they would review our unfortunate situation. They agreed there was a miscommunication and rectified the error. I should have looked up these ratings before ordering. I had a great experience with them a little over a year ago, but I am not sure what happened to them. At this point I STILL dont have the pet meds I ordered. I ordered a Tuesday morning, they were canceled due to a sku update in their system. I reordered Wednesday afternoon. Thursday night there was a tracking number assigned...great... called Friday night when it hadn't been given to UPS. They told me it would go out with the next pick up and that would be Monday at some point. What??? These are pet meds, not fun new toys, people order them because they need them. Looks like it was picked up and scanned Monday night? It's Wednesday now and still not here. Thank goodness we started calling around Saturday. Got a script to Walmart, it was here first thing Monday morning two days later for 1/4 the price. If you dont need something specific compounded, go somewhere else... I ordered Rx for a client to be delivered overnight. They shipped via regular mail. I called in many times and finally got a hold of someone and they reshipped the order overnight UPS. But, due to the fact we close at noon on Fridays the order will not be delivered until Monday. I told them about this problem and they couldn't get it delivered before noon due to not having a contract to do that or a contract with Fedex. Now the patient may go blind!!! They need to get their system working right. The reason they said they shipped USPS in the first place was that I did not have my physical address in their system. I checked my profile and there was my physical address!!!!!! They can't even look things up properly even in there own system. read more

Monday afternoon I checked on the status and it was still in "confirmed" so I called. I'm now being told that I may have to wait till Friday this week - 7 days after the order was placed to receive the prescription. Here's their math: day of the order doesn't count (0); weekend still (0) - Monday (1) but could be up to three days to compound (2-3); compounding complete day (3) Wednesday; ships day (4) Thursday; I receive day (5) Friday. A FULL WEEK AFTER AN EXPEDITED ORDER WAS PLACED!!!!!!!!!! This is completely unacceptable and was not ever portrayed that it could take this long. SHAME ON YOU. 4.5 stars. According to Wedgewood Pharmacy's website, they are the largest veterinary compounding pharmacy in the United States and serve over 70,000 veterinarians and one million animals yearly. Months ago, my cat's veterinarian prescribed a transdermal medication and submitted the prescription to Wedgewood Pharmacy for filling. I logged onto Wedgewood Pharmacy's website to complete the order. Two days later, Wedgewood Pharmacy shipped the package to me. I had paid $15.95 for faster shipping, and two days later, UPS delivered the package to my house. My cat needs this medication each month, so I signed up for AutoRefills, which have free shipping. I needed some time to figure out how to set the shipment date on the website, but I eventually figured it out. Wedgewood Pharmacy has shipped the medication on time each month. I compared Wedgewood Pharmacy's price for this medication to another retailer's prices for other brands of this medication, and I think that Wedgewood Pharmacy's prices are slightly higher, but I will continue to use Wedgewood. This medication has helped my cat's laboratory values to become normal. read more

A compounded prescription refill Wedgewood notified me of on 1/12/26 that is in process will not be sent out until sometime in February, based on a conversation with their management yesterday. This is completely unacceptable; this is my cat's thyroid medication, she can't run out of it. The manager I spoke to said "We recently acquired a lot of new business and we don't have the staff to fill all the orders. There's no way I can expedite this." Usually an order is filled within 5 to 7 days and they expect their customers to wait up to 6 weeks now? I told the manager that this is not a leisure item, this isn't a pair of shoes. It's prescription medication and without it, it's a serious problem. Wedgewood acquired new business at the expense of it's existing customer base. I have a very ill pet and it took 12 days for this pharmacy to fill his prescription. I had to contact them multiple times, and each time was promised that they would expedite it. I'm lucky my pet survived awaiting his medication. If you can't fill prescriptions in a timely matter, you shouldn't be in the pharmacy business. read more

I wish the service I get from my pharmacy was as good as we get from Wedgewood. Doesn't matter if the script comes out of Arizona or Pa., always been received on time. We were forced to use Blue Rabbit pharmacy through our veterinarian Burke Forest Vet in Springfiled VA. Simply put we have to use this service as the number of hoops tat we have to jump through to get a prescription filled requires multiple paper scripts to be sent via snail mail to the other on-line dispensaries. We found the cost to be much higher ($15/month ($30 from comparable on-line pharmacies vs the $46 that we were charged through Blue Rabbit a premium of 33% extra) to give our 15 year old labradoodle end of life care. That being said, while the initial prescription took some time to start (I had to purchase more directly form the vet at 3x the cost until the prescription was filled as it took about a week to come in), they were good with good notification of when they would charge my card on autoship. Unfortunately our big boy passed away last night and we had approximately half a bottle of medication plus a completely unopened bottle left. I asked for the possibility of returning the unopened bottle and was told that they only do returns within a 30 day window. Our dog passed away at 33 days and I called on day 34. The medication is unopened and has an expiry date of 1/2027! There is zero reason they could not accept it back and be lenient. I also pleaded my case as I am a furloughed Federal employee and have not received multiple paychecks, the $45 could have helped get food on the table, or helped pay electricity bills for my family. Given that the medication was charged at a premium, they claim exceptional service, the medication was unopened and did not expire for well over a year, I find the hiding being polity to be pathetic and completely non-empathetic to us the customer, and wasteful as the medication now needs to be disposed of. But hey, they did get their $46 from us. read more

My medication was ordered on March 28. I paid $30 for overnight shipping. Yesterday, three business days later. upon calling. I was told there had been a delay with UPS and my medication was being delivered tomorrow. They refunded the delivery charge. However, today, April 3, four business days later, I still have not received the order. My cat is dying and he has severe nausea and he needs this compounded medication immediately. Where is it? Note: I write many more positive reviews than negative ones. We have had two experiences with medications formulated through Wedgewood for our macaw. The first was not satisfactory because the taste, although sweetened, was nasty compared to MixLab's version. We went back to Mixlab (which has wonderful customer service). The second experience has been terrible. Our vet first contacted Wedgewood 4 weeks ago about whether a formulation was possible. We soon heard back from our vet that it was and were told we would get a call. We never did, in fact they have never initiated a call to us. We have had a total of 6 calls, each one with a new pharmacy tech or customer service rep or manager. The call times were 26 min, 26 min, 12 min, 23 min, 21 min and today 4 min when I admit I hung up in disgust. Each time they promised it was in process but would take some time to formulate, The 4th and 5th call promised the formulation was being expedited. Today's call said it was back to a 4-5 day process. We will see if we ever get it and what the quality will be -- meanwhile our macaw continues to suffer from a blocked nasal passage. read more

We have been using Wedgewood Pharmacy for our senior animals for the past 5 years. The prescriptions come super fast via USPS, especially when we were able to use the Auto Refill option. As an RN I know how important it is to get the medications on time, every time. Just earlier this month we had a cardiac medication filled on Auto Refill and after 6 business days, nothing had arrived in the mail which was very odd. I phoned and spoke with a pharmacy tech who agreed that the tracking she saw indeed showed the medication "taking longer than expected" in USPS. She transferred me to a Pharmacist who offered to send a new order out with expedited mail delivery at no cost to us. The meds arrived 2 days later, just in time, because the last dose was given to our dog Mayzie this morning! I have every confidence in Wedgewood and they now rise up to A++ rating in my book! read more

they charge an lot more than other pharmacies and do not give any service. For instance, they just sold me a very, very expensive drug and did not tell me the amount I was getting would expire before the dosing of the drug was complete. Chewy is so much cheaper and tells you if this may occur so that you can order a partial script twice. This SUCKS for my cat. read more

This is an update to my previous review last week. I called Wedgewood to terminate my drug shipments for 2 of my dogs because of consistent delivery problems. I talked with a customer service rep who argued with me about cancelling. He said, if only you had talked with me, I could have resolved your problem". Well, I talked to more than 4 different cust reps, at least once a month for the last 5 months, to try to find out why my auto-ship meds were not arriving. He told me he would cancel the current order, but I finally had to gently hang up on him to get away. And guess what! Today, 1/19/26, the order arrived despite his assertion he had canceled. To any of you who are getting timely deliveries, God bless, but in my experience if you need meds reliably delivered for your pet - go somewhere else! Wedgewood was the pharmacy that compounded the critical anti-seizure medicine we desperately needed quickly for our precious chihuahua Bella. We paid quite a bit extra to make sure the order was rushed, due to her critical need. That was on Monday. Then Tuesday and Wednesday went by and still no medicine? Finally on Thursday we were worried, as Bella's condition was worsening. We placed calls to UPS, who was apparently the shipper they chose, and they said the label for the shipment wasn't even generated until a full day after the order. Then instead of choosing a reputable overnight shipper, such as FedEx, they simply chose UPS ground. As a result, by Thursday afternoon, we still didn't receive the essential medication and Bella died from a seizure. Wedgewood's mismanagement of our order directly resulted in the death of our beloved friend and companion. We're heartbroken, devastated and understandably very upset. As a result, we have refused the shipment, if and when it's ever delivered, and have reversed the charges for their service. Nothing will be able to right this criminal wrong, which Wedgewood was directly responsible for, but they should not be rewarded for their incompetence. I filled my dog's prescription through Wedgewood and I received a notification that it "shipped" on Friday and 4 days later the tracking number shows it still hasn't been handed over to the courier. I've not changed my opinion about the so-called "supervisor" who didn't care my beloved yorkie was dying due to their mismanagement of his script. By miracle, it came on Tuesday not Thursday as the ignorant man had stated and my baby lived. Also, I received a call from Cody, Premium Services Mgr. who reviewed the recording of my call begging for help & how I was treated. I've been getting Penicillimine for my dog for the last 6 or 7 years. I'm forced to use Wedgewood because they are the only pharmacy in the country that carries it. My dog crossed over the rainbow bridge on Wednesday and I chatted with Wedgewood to stop the refill before shipping. They said they couldn't and were sending it and charging me anway. Chewy stopped the shipment immediately and refunded me. I had ordered a dog bed from orivs. It was shipped the same day as her passing. They sent be a free return label before it even got to me and will give me a full refund. Wedgewood is uncaring and greedy and I hope to never have to use them again. If you can get your script from any other pharmacy, do not go to Wedgewood. Problems thoughout my entire time with them. Up until today I was happy with Wedgewood. I have two older cats, both 18, on transdermal meds. One for hyperthyroidism and one for high blood pressure which caused him to go blind late last year. That one has seriously impacted my life. Anyway things were rolling along pretty well and I loved the auto refill service. Until two weeks ago. My hyperthyroid cat's auto refill was screwed up big time basically because of the system. It's a long story I won't go into here but I had to ask for a supervisor to whom I explained the entire situation which, as it turned out he agreed with, was all the fault of the system. He was terrific and he went over and above and I had the refill even sooner than I needed which was terrific. Then came the issue this morning. My other 18 yr old cat with the high blood pressure had 1 refill left as it showed on my screen. It was on auto refill. For days I clicked on the box 'fill now'. Each day after not getting an email acknowledging the refill the box was unchecked. Well, last night I had no medicine for him. He's already blind due to HBP. I'm afraid he'll have a stroke without the meds! So I called the pharmacy. Again I needed to insist on speaking to a supervisor. My screen showed 1 refill left. Their system showed none. What? Put on hold only to find out I was right, again. I had one refill left. Yay! BUT... The medicine needed for the compound was out of stock and it had to be reordered. It was unknown when it would arrive at the pharmacy so I don't know when I will get the transdermal! This time I am NOT a happy customer. OH, another thing I learned the hard way: everytime your prescription is updated as in a change in dosage, it has to be enrolled again in auto refill! That was the problem with the first prescription I had a problem with. Nice time to find out, when I needed a refill! Also, when you re-enroll or get a new prescription you also need to check to make sure you also once again indicated the credit card you'd been using is the default to be used again. Also something I didn't want to learn the hard way. Bottom line, whoever is in charge of that system either needs to find new employment or has to start working on fixing the problems. Advertising the ease and reliability of auto refill has to be backed up with proof of that reliability. Stay away from these people. They sent me pills large enough to choke my cat! Evidently they don't understand an animal's needs. And they charged me $100 for Omeprazole! After waiting an eternity on the phone (there is no way to chat or email them via their website), I was transferred to a "manager" who was super passive aggressive. He stated they wouldn't refund because it was what the doctor prescribed, and if the doctor changed the prescription from capsule to liquid, I'd have to pay AGAIN! (and wait another 5 days for making plus another 5 for shipping, making the pet suffer even longer). So basically I wasted $100 for a mistake I didn't make, a problem nobody can fix, and a medication my cat can't take. They should at least offer a one-time exception to remake the medicine into something I can actually fit in my cat's mouth. If you can, please use Scriptworks in Walnut Creek, they actually care to make the animals and customers happy, and even accept text messages : ) read more

I would not recommend Wedgewood and I have let my vet's office know that in the future I will use a different compounding pharmacy for my cat's medication. The one I've used in the past is so much better in every respect, so I know Wedgewood could be better if they chose to do so. They market themselves as having a very wide variety of flavor options to appeal to different animals, but the reality is you likely will be given 1 option only, and if it is not palatable that's just too bad. No apology, much less even a partial refund. ----- In response to Wedgewood's reply, I absolutely DID bring my concern to the company and was not offered any alternative at all. I never have to worry about running out of our kids' prescriptions. Wedgewood takes the hassle out of remembering when to order by using their very convenient autofill. The service has been top-notch, there is a great selection of products, and the value couldn't be better. The prescription for my cat was a pain medication necessary to control symptoms of his cancer. It was on autoship. The drug was shipped on a Wednesday and ended up in a USPS facility in California on Friday..we live in Virginia. I called to report the issue immediately and was told that I had to wait 5 business days before they could reship. I called again and was told that since it was exactly 5 business days I needed to wait another day before they would reship. I called AGAIN..by this time my cat was out of medication. I was told that because it was a controlled substance they would have to contact my vet to get authorization to reship even though I was told the previous day that if the package hadn't arrived they would ship overnight. I called my vet and told them they would be contacted for authorization. Wedgewood NEVER contacted my vet and the vet had to call them and request expedited delivery. The drug "shipped' today supposedly for overnight but at this time (8:41PM) it still had not been received by any shipping company. This company obviously doesn't care about my cat and I will never order from them again. I would strongly suggest you don't either. read more

I have a very ill cat with multiple serious conditions that we're trying to manage and he has been in and out of the hospital over the last few weeks. Yesterday we brought him home and fortunately he had been stabilized and he and we were feeling better. Then I saw the email from Wedgwood that I received today 12/16/25 that one of his autoship medications was delayed and would take 7-10 more business days which would put him way past running out of medication. On 12/10 I had checked on the autoship and it showed on track. So they waited 6 days after the order date to let me know it was delayed. If they had let me know right away I could have had time to try to get it from another pharmacy. The person who answered the phone admitted they were having production backlog problems, could give no information except the script she had been given, was completely unhelpful and said someone from the pharmacy would call me in 24 hours! I insisted to talk with someone immediately and eventually was connected with someone from the pharmacy who was equally unhelpful, kept interrupting me, as had the first person I spoke with, then became straight up rude and defensive. Refused to let me speak with a higher level manager. Now that we've worked so hard and spent thousands of dollars to get our cat stabilized he risks getting thrown out of balance just from this incompetency. I've used this pharmacy for many years but recently the quality and service has gone completely downhill. Last year I received a liquid suspension medication for my other cat that didn't have the actual medication in it (it was obvious because the liquid was completely clear and when they went back and checked the batch they discovered and admitted the error). My cat went into withdrawal because he essentially was discontinued cold turkey. I've had many other problems as well, and the change to their new electronic system is causing even more problems and confusion. This pharmacy is incompetent and untrustworthy, and I no longer want to trust my pets' health to them. I will be transferring every prescription that I can to Chewy. Wedgewood - please don't respond to this with your standard obsequious reply acting like you care and want to understand more. I'm sure you're fully aware of what is happening as I just received another mass email this afternoon with subject header "Important notice about shipping delays". Interesting, because it's not actually a shipping problem but a fulfillment problem, as the body of the email states "We want to make you aware of higher-than-normal order volume within our fulfillment operations that may impact delivery timelines on certain orders this week. Due to a significant increase in demand, our warehouse is processing an unusually high volume of orders, which may result in temporary shipping delays". I'm not posting this for a reply, I'm posting to help alert other pet owners, and it's obvious from your terrible ratings on multiple sites that many others are also. Your first problem is that you can't appropriately compound medication and manage your production, the second is that you should have notified customers immediately when it became apparent that you couldn't, and the third is that your staff should be given the information and tools and trained to better handle customers who are obviously upset not because its "frustrating", but because their pet's health is at risk. read more

One of the RXs came today 1/14, I'm not a math major, but that is a few more than 2 days. The second medication "just shipped out today". The second life saving medication that my pet has only been getting 1/2 doses of for the last week, just mailed out today. Customer service asked if we were running low, I said we are flat out. I used Bravo pharmacy for my pets' meds before it was taken over by Wedgewood. Bravo was timely, reasonably priced, I could call them directly, and had quick free shipping, and I could pick up the meds directly. Now through Wedgewood, I cannot call, I must order online, no free shipping, and the price went up $24 dollars. I just ordered, but I will be looking elsewhere for the meds moving forward. read more

I didn't respect the employed laughing and giggling on the phone (so was she 1. Drunk 2. High on drugs 3. having sex at her desk or 4. all of the above.
