It made my life so much easier. Once Covid hit, we had to cancel our wedding and they were extremely understanding even though their business was also being affected. Come 2022, we re-connected to have them help coordinate our reception do-over. They were, yet again, amazing to work with. On the day of, they had things done before I even thought of them and truly made my day just enjoyable. They thought of the little things and the big things for the event to go off without a hitch. That's where Karleigh and Glynn just made me fall in love with their ideas, and they were so excited to learn about our culture and asked so many questions, we knew it was the right decision. We did the full planning service even though we had a lot of details down on our own, but we wanted to make sure that Karleigh and Glynn were informed every step of the way. There were so many things I would have never thought about that they made sure to check in about while planning, and then once we had everything planned they had a timeline broke down to the minute I swear. It was so relieving knowing from the moment we got to the venue Glynn and Karleigh were not just on top of everything, but had such good relationships with everyone it just put everyone in our family at ease. My husband and I were just married this past August, and working with Evelyn is the reason we were able to stay sane. She is incredibly organized, and her process allowed us to enjoy wedding planning rather than being stressed out about deadlines. I talked to other friends planning their weddings at the same time as us with different planners, and they seemed WAY more stressed out--their planner either needed to be pushed at every step of the way, or was stressing them out about made-up deadlines to keep them moving. Evelyn's process was about the order of operations--you need your venue first, then you can find your photographer, then entertainment, etc. She made it so the decisions we needed to make felt bite-sized, rather than focusing on everything all at once. After just 1 or 2 conversations, she managed to take all of our ambiguous thoughts & feelings, and distilled them down to give us just a handful of venue options that she thought we would love. She took this approach with all of our vendors which truly made it so easy to make a quick yet informed decision. She's an delight to work with, and her centerpieces were EXACTLY what i wanted- classy, feminine, and absolutely gorgeous! Out of all my wedding vendors, Joyce was definitely in the top 2...she's THAT good. I first met Joyce at the Grand Tradition Estate bridal show, where some of her beautiful work was displayed as centerpieces. I took her contact information but was afraid of her prices, as it seems like she would charge much more than other vendors who were also at the show. I called her a few weeks later, and gave her my budget and a rough idea of what i wanted. She said she would definitely work with me, and a few days later sent me a quote with how much everything would cost. I have to admit, i got sticker shock when I first saw the final price- it was at least $1000 more than the number i had given. Nevertheless, i met with her at Grand Traditon estate a few months later (she was setting up for another wedding) and i took her quote with me. We sat down and started negotiating item by item. She switched out some of the more expensive flowers for in season ones, took out some ceremony decor i didn't necessary need, and after 30 mins we managed to bring the final price more or less to what i wanted. I was so relieved that Joyce was so easy to work with, and willing to go down on her prices to accommodate my budget. I walked away very comfortable with my flowers, and confident that Joyce would bring my vision to life. I ended up making a lot of last minute changes anyways, but Joyce was very patient and reassuring. I also had Joyce decorate my wedding cake (I absolutely love fresh flowers everywhere) When i walked into my venue on the day of the wedding, boy was i blown away! the flowers were on tall. 24" vases filled with water and a white flower (orchids?) They brought a very classy and elegant feel to the reception. Our DJ did a coral uplighting in the reception, and they perfectly complimented the flowers for the most amazing reception decor. My guests kept commenting on how gorgeous the flowers were, and the ones who got to take the centerpieces home were delighted! My hubby and i went on a cruise the day after our wedding, and i insisted on bringing the centerpiece on board with me to display in our room. I loved them so much i couldn't bear the thought of leaving them at home. Before my wedding planning started i didn't even know i wanted fresh flowers, or how much of a difference they made. I would hire Joyce again in a heartbeat, and strongly recommend her to anyone planning an event in San Diego!

She showed us many pictures of her work and even had some sample pieces when we had our first meeting. We decided to have Joyce do our flowers as wells as our linens for the wedding. She always took our calls right away, and was always sweet and professional. We had trouble paying with paypal and she worked with us on that issue with no problems and made it seem like the issue never happened. The day of the wedding she blew us away with the flower arraignments and table linens.They were absolutely stunning. The bouquets were perfect. The flowers outside were just amazing. She also made us two huge arraignments for the stairs at no charge and decorated the cake with flowers no charge. Her flowers last so long. My wedding was over 2 weeks ago and my bouquet is still sitting on the kitchen table in a vase and barely looks dead. We can not recommend Joyce enough. She was our favorite vendor we hired. She is AMAZING!!!! She is sweet, creative, very giving, and most of all her prices are very good. You get so much more than you pay for. I could go on and on about Joyce and her work. She knows all wedding events like the back of her hand (including showers, bachelorette's, and rehearsals) so her clarity of organization on the timeline and all supplies needed is like second nature at this point. - Negotiator extraordinaire: Need to find a 9 seater limo for 5 hours on a budget? This lady will find the classiest joint within reason and barter them down to your limit! I needed this exact limo for my sister's bachelorette and she worked magic to price compare and organize it into perfect fruition. To this day I have no idea how she accomplished this, since I had called 3-4 other places and had no luck myself. - Listens to your opinions: If there is something you really want or really hate, she prioritizes your preferences. Sometimes a planner can make your voice feel minimized, but Catherine works over time to incorporate your vision into a practical application. That's not to say that she will let you make bad decisions-- if something is just not feasible, you can count on her to get you the very closest to your ideal as physically possible. - Highly organized: Do you need a layout of your reception area? She will use public google images as a base to manually draw in where each of your guest tables and buffet lines will go. Need a timeline about what will happen on the big day? She made a color-coded itinerary with action items bolded so you can easily glance down at the important parts. The best part about this is that it's not a chore for her-- she is a complete natural at making things organized and maximally aesthetically pleasing given her previous background as an architect. - Dependable: if things start to go south, Catherine is the first one on the job to straighten out any problems. She will be on the phone in an instant to make sure that vendors are pulling through, and if they don't, she has backup solutions on hand. Are you off the timeline due to unforeseen circumstances? Then she is already in contact with everyone else who may be affected to make sure appropriate communication happens. Don't worry- she arrived at least 10 minutes early to everything and has already convinced your venue staff to give you extra services you didn't know were available! Overall 5 out of 5 stars, I would pay Catherine to organize my finances during tax season and also redecorate my house if she would do it for me. This lady is just a fabulous organizer with great design taste!

The bride and groom were planning their wedding from across the country, while moving (not to the location of the wedding) and the bride was starting graduate school. Catherine managed everything, did an excellent job working with all the vendors, found a way to incorporate both the bride and grooms personalities, and actually designed and made the most unique decorations you have ever seen. The bride and groom were relaxed and actually got to enjoy the wedding process from beginning to end and it was the most beautiful wedding.
