And when I took it back to trade for a real 4wheel on their lot they said too bad and would only give me $10,000 less then I paid for the Toyota even though they priced it at the original 43,900 that I paid. And I had put less than 1,000 miles on it They said too bad...and they said I should have noticed it was a 2wheel drive. And I was a return customer!! Grrrr The manager would not even come out of her office to tell me this in person! Please beware of this rip off car dealership unless you can afford to lose $10,000 like I did. I went into carmax and started their process, it took about 45 minutes and the salesman really beat me up I felt like, hammered me about the cars miles, the condition, error codes etc.. The offer was low and after the barrage I told him let me go across the street and see what they offer. I drove literally across the street and met Mark and started the cash money process. After about 15 minutes he was back and said he liked the car and offered me $200 over the Carmax price, I told him another $200 and we had a deal and we shook on it and I couldnt have been happier. That jump across the street yielded me another 400$ and I got the check that day. Mark helped me unload my trunk and clean out the car AND drove me back home. I cant say enough nice things about CMC. My lease was just about up (1 month left) on my Range Rover Evoque and rather than turn it in and break even I figured why not see if I had a little equity in it since I was so far under the allotted mileage. So my first stop was CarMax in Frederick, MD - top notch place and very professional but they offered me right at what the lease payoff was. I was pretty bummed. On my way back to the interstate for a defeated drive back to my home in WV I passed guy holding a Cash Money Cars sign. I said what the heck and stopped and asked for directions there, conveniently a few minutes from CarMax. There I met Tony, a very easy going guy and senior buyer who explained the process start to finish with no pressure and no BS. He gave me an offer within 20 minutes for more than $2000 over the CarMax offer. I told him I'd consider it and sat on the offer for about a week. I was just about to go ahead and trade my Evoque towards my new car but then Tony called and followed up and went through the process one more time - he said we could have it done in under 40 minutes. So I went there the past Friday, sat down and did the paperwork, and walked away with a nice check for my leased vehicle - all in under 40 minutes. And just an FYI, it's very rare to walk away TO THE GOOD on any leased vehicle, you are usually lucky if you just break even. I admit I was skeptical at first but without a doubt I would do business with Cash Money Cars and Tony again. Do yourself a favor and skip CarMax and go straight to these guys.
