Mary Cheney Library - Atrium with the view at the new library

    Mary Cheney Library

The new library had a grand opening on Monday September 14. I visited that library that day…read more It's nice, beautiful and spacious with three stories. A lot more space than the old library. It's located down the street at the former Webster Bank building. There's amenities at the new library which include the patio on the rooftop, drive-up pick-up window for books, a massive collection of board games for people to borrow with their own library cards, and atrium. I love this library. I miss the old library at the Mary Cheney building up the street but I think it looks beautiful in and out and I appreciate how there is enough room for everything and some more good stuff under one roof. The patio area outside is a welcome addition to the new library. People can read and relax outside with a chair to sit on during a beautiful day. There's a lot of chairs in the library plus elevators and bathrooms in a handicapped accessible library. You should stop by and check it out if you're around the area. What a wonderful institution for the Manchester community!

This is a review for the board game section of the library sporting so many games I've lost count…read more The borad game section has a lot of different types of games with varying age, group size and time frame. Donated from different walks of life the library does well to ensure eveything is there for your fun time ahead. You can borrow the games up to 3 weeks and they even added in renewals which is a nice feature. The only thing is that the games have to be returned while the library is open and sadly here is the only place that carry an extensive selection but hope that others hop on. Do you part and support the local library and try a free new game before purchasing or having a great time. With so many games for so many different type of people and groups drop by and see what they have.

Settling an estate and more specifically, cleaning out the house of a loved one can be a daunting…read moretask. After asking several friends and relatives if they wanted furniture we ourselves had no use for, we had several pieces to get rid of before the closing on the property. Salvation Army and similar organizations will not enter a house for liability purposes and most of the remaining pieces were in the basement and not easy for us to move, let alone research disposing of. The Dutiful Daughter was recommended by our real estate agent as well as a coworker of my husbands. After a very positive experience with them picking up the remaining furniture that no one wanted, my husband stated that he wished he contacted them at the start of this process. I contacted them with less than 2 weeks left until the closing on the house and Marsha was pleasant, informative and squeezed a pickup in one day later on very short notice. After arriving promptly at the designated time, in less than 45 minutes, the remaining upholstered and wood pieces were loaded into a box truck and gone. We received receipts for what was removed, some to be disposed of and other pieces ( dining room table and 4 chairs) that would be placed on consignment for sale and we'd receive cash back if they sold. We were thrilled the final items were gone with no further worry of how to get rid of them! The Dutiful Daughter provides several unique services described in detail on their website. We had an excellent experience and as we ourselves look to downsize in the near future, we will certainly be contacting them to make that job easier.

They sold very few items and tell us that they threw away, rather than donating, furniture (in some cases very expensive furniture) that was in good condition. Do not hire them. They were recommended by our realtor -- wish I had read the other reviews before my brother hired them.

Very pricey but honestly, I think the service, cleanliness, and professionalism is worth it. I wouldn't recommend the hydropspa in my opinion- very expensive for a somewhat underwhelming experience. But, I did enjoy the hot tub! Thank you guys for taking care of me!! Definitely will be a regular client!

Kicking off the New Year with my first visit to the Immerse HydroSpa & Massage!…read more What a fun experience - you first start with a Water Fall Bucket (spoiler - its COLD) and then go into the sauna - having done the water bucket first, the sauna was easier to handle so I didn't overheat too much and loved the red light in it. Next was experience shower - i selected relax, it was mostly warm and very refreshing after that a 12 min dip into the hot tub. Following that was the ice fountain - you think putting ice on your body would be odd but coming out from the hot tub it felt amazing. We then headed to the steam room followed by a cold plunge (we only lasted a minute!!) and ended in the salt tepidarium. Staff was very helpful and at times would pop in with a wet cold towel (always at the perfect time) and while in the salt tepidarium surprised us with a healthy juice shot. Love an experience and this one was truly great! They provide a watch so you can keep track of your time and the stations! As well as sandals that can go into all the areas - even the pools! Can't wait to return for more!
