Kicking off the New Year with my first visit to the Immerse HydroSpa & Massage! What a fun experience - you first start with a Water Fall Bucket (spoiler - its COLD) and then go into the sauna - having done the water bucket first, the sauna was easier to handle so I didn't overheat too much and loved the red light in it. Next was experience shower - i selected relax, it was mostly warm and very refreshing after that a 12 min dip into the hot tub. Following that was the ice fountain - you think putting ice on your body would be odd but coming out from the hot tub it felt amazing. We then headed to the steam room followed by a cold plunge (we only lasted a minute!!) and ended in the salt tepidarium. Staff was very helpful and at times would pop in with a wet cold towel (always at the perfect time) and while in the salt tepidarium surprised us with a healthy juice shot. Love an experience and this one was truly great! They provide a watch so you can keep track of your time and the stations! As well as sandals that can go into all the areas - even the pools! Muscles definitely feel better and my massage therapist (Nicole) was very nice and listed to the things I wanted to focus on. Booking and checkin was very easy. I do think this place could offer a better overall ambiance with essential oils, aroma etc. It was also pretty chilly both in the waiting area and massage room on a cold windy day. There was relaxing music playing but there were people talking loudly outside the door to the massage room and it felt like could hear all the other doors opening around me, which makes you jump when you're on a table topless!! Overall the therapist was good, but I think the full experience/ ambiance is better at other places I have been. read more

I came here with my boyfriend to celebrate our anniversary and we were between the hydrospa or a massage, we decided on the hydrospa since we saw so many tiktoks about it and how amazing it was. The staff is really nice and very helpful and the place is clean. If you're looking for something private don't do the hydrospa, we were under the impression that it would be more private, we didn't have that experience especially me. Every minute one staff member would walk into the dressing room and when one would leave another would come in, it was really hard to relax when there was constant staff weaving around you and clinking around and squeaking their shoes. Again they were very nice but it gave the impression that there was no organization and they just crowded the area, even during the hydrospa it was very distracting. There was also about 6 other people in there with us which is too much and you'd think they'd limit it a bit, i guess not. There was also not a big disclaimer of washing your hair before and if i saw that i wouldn't have chosen the hydrospa. I have a lot of hair and forget drying your hair with the hair dryers, they just get super hot and won't help at all. My mom owns a spa so i'm used to the environment and how it's supposed to be and this unfortunately is not what i'm used to and lead to a bad experience. I wish we chose the massage instead i'm really bummed out about not being able to relax or fully enjoy the experience, i think it's nice that the staff do such a diligent job cleaning but it was not a great experience for me to be constantly swarmed. My boyfriend had a good time i guess but he wasn't being swarmed so idk. read more

I'm addicted and never knew the mental state I could be in for the massages provided by the Glastonbury Massage Center. I always look forward to when my 90 minute massages are coming up on my calendar. For the duration of my appointment all my worries and stresses fall away and I enter a new dimension of relaxation. I actually started with 60 minute massages and increased them to 90 minute ones after learning all the benefits. Went in for a prenatal massage and it helped a lot for all the aches and pains that come along with being 37 weeks pregnant. I was made to feel comfortable the entire time and left feeling very refreshed. It's already been a day and typically I would be in lots of pain after a massage but not here. I think the gentle stretching and hot stone massage really helped avoid that issue. I don't get massages often so being left sore the next day is always the bigger negative for me. This is one of the few places I've been that clearly know what they're doing. The place itself is clean and relaxing and you'll feel less stress just by walking in. If I can't make it back by the end of my pregnancy, I will certainly be back after. Glad I found a go-to massage spot! read more

I am a very picky massage person and I can say I've had better massages here than on vacation at most 5 star resorts. The facility is very clean and relaxing. I've never heard another person, even just walking by, while getting a massage. I will say that the massage therapist you get really can change the experience (as with anywhere) since they all have different techniques and specialties. That's why I gave it 4 stars and not 5. However, all therapists are extremely respectful and care about your input. With COVID-19 they are very clean and everyone wears a mask. They also alter services to ensure you're comfortable while wearing a mask (having you lay on your side instead of face down). I definitely recommend this place read more

I had a Swedish massage with Katie and it was amazing. I walked out feeling like a brand new woman. This was my first professional massage and Katie did an amazing job! I was so relaxed I almost fell asleep. Honestly, so peaceful. Going into the massage she was very informative and told me she'd go very gentle since it was my first massage and that I could be a little sore. She made sure that her pressure wasn't too hard or too light. I carry my stress on my shoulders and Katie was able to work out my kinks. I was a little sore (since it was my first massage and my shoulders had a lot of knots) but I iced it and, I literally felt a weight off my shoulders. As soon as you walk in you can feel the Zen. The wood and metal decor, music, scented smells immediately put me at ease. I liked the private rooms, but walls were a little thin as I could hear conversation and laughing next door. Fortunately the music drowned it out. My massage therapist was Katie and she was very professional, didn't rush through the session but, wow, did she work through the trouble spots. Though I asked for a Swedish massage I'm pretty sure it was a deep tissue massage as it was quite painful and I'm still sore a few days later. I'll be returning but will emphasize Swedish! read more

I found this place by chance. My back was in pain and I was carrying around lots of tension. Between moving, long commutes, selling a home - I just needed a massage with ideally some reiki to help my energy out. I started my search Saturday evening and was hoping to find someone available for Sunday morning. This was the only place that could accommodate my request and time frame. Sylvia saved the day! Angelica is not only a fantastic masseuse, but a caring person who is invested in her clients' well-being. She applies her insight and skill expertly and professionally, and does her best to provide accommodation for schedule changes. The facility itself was very nice before, and the new location is even nicer and at a more convenient location on Hebron Ave. The business provides great quality services at reasonable prices. Very disappointing visit. I have had massages for years all over the world so I know what a skilled masseuse can do. I was in a great deal of lower back pain plus pain from plantar fasciitis. My regular massage therapist was not available and I was thrilled to be able to get in on a Saturday. I was particularly drawn to this practice because at the top of their list of services was deep tissue massage which I knew from experience was what I needed. Upon arrival I specifically explained why I was there and asked the therapist if she could do the work. I was assured I could be helped. For about a third of the time the person simply touched parts of my body. I am used to that technique but it generally it lasts seconds. It went on for minutes. I thought she fell asleep. Another tell was that at no point did she ask if the pressure was too much. there was a total of about 4 strokes that I would call firm. The rest of the time it was light stroking. I should have stopped her at 30 minutes and left. I got no relief. After I complained politely I got a weak excuse. Think twice about this place or at least the person you choose. read more

Their text message reminder read, "Your appt at Glastonbury Massage Center is on Day, Date, Time. Reply Y to confirm." Given there is NO option for replying No, if I didn't reply, I did not confirm, right? Nope, if I didn't make the appointment they said they would charge my cc. How convenient...for them. read more

Okay, so I have been stressed out! I am moving out-of-state, buying a new house, and dealing with a sick relative (plus work, the kid, etc.). I found myself surfing late on Monday night desperate for a massage near me. It was super easy to book online, and I got a 90 minute massage set up for the next day! I was nervous about going to a place to cold, especially because I am a plus sized lady and sometimes folks can be weird; but this was a great massage. Tim was friendly and welcoming, and gave me an AMAZING massage!! Seriously, I left feeling so much better but also kicking myself for not doing something sooner. I highly recommend this place. Hands down best massage. I have had a nagging injury for years and a good massage is the only thing that helps. The massage therapists are great about focusing on areas that are in pain and they understand the body/healing process.
