I'm a first time business owner. Like all first timers, I don't know what the hell I'm doing. I was…read moreneeding someone to spin me around, point me in a direction and say, "walk that way." Journey Communications did just that and more. Not only did Chelsea tells us what direction to walk, but also how to get there. Journey Communications offers a variety of business services, however we met for the business plan meeting, since the beginning is probably a good place to start. The meeting was fun, long, hard, and absolutely worth it. Chelsea didn't just tell us how to create a business plan but actually taught us how to do it. She helped us understand the process in a way that we can relate and better absorb the information. She was able to give us the framework to not only build a solid business plan, but also give us the tools to create a strong and spotless action plan. We entered the meeting feeling frazzled and confused, however we left feeling confident to take on our mission. I highly recommend Journey Communications for your business needs. Whether you are a brand new business or have been in business for years. Chelsea is very organized, thorough, communicative, and her energy is very warm and welcoming. We feel very supported by her and will absolutely be taking advantage of the other services she provides.

I couldn't be happier with the service we received and the time we spent with her. I recommend all business owners in the LA area to meet Chelsea and work with her.

    Edge Incorporated

For starters, this business is a SCAM. Myself and many others were sent emails by Edge Inc. while…read morewe were searching for jobs on Craigslist, Monster or CareerBuilder. The funny thing is, I never remember sending them a resume yet somehow they got mine (that was the first sign). However I said what the heck and scheduled an interview. The office is on the second floor of a small building and the office is very small (with dilapidated doors) and cheesy used office furniture. Computer systems were very outdated (still running Microsoft XP OS) and the whole set up just felt strange. During the interview a man by the name of Matthew Hoppe (who gave the interview) tried explaining what they do, but something wasn't adding up. They kept saying that I was being picked for a management position, however he was throwing out various marketing concepts and talking about their largest client (apparently Power Home Remodeling Group) and how Edge Inc. has brought them from a $15 mil a year company to a $200 mil a year company in something like 4 years. He also mentioned he was selecting a small group (maybe 3 or 4) people from the interviews that day, to come back the next day for a second round of interviews. In the second round they would go over more in depth of what they do and it would be a "shadowing" experience where I would see first hand what these managers do. I received a call saying I was picked for the second round of interviews and that they wanted me to come in the following day for shadowing. Now keep in mind that after my first interview I obviously did some researching on the company, however I found nothing. Their website pops up in Google, but nothing else. This I found quite strange. So I showed up for my second interview and this time I meet with a man named Rich. First thing I thought to myself when I sat down with this man is he is a smooth talker, probably would make a great car salesman. Well he did, talk and talk that is. However hes overlapping some things that Matt told me the previous day and also explaining new concepts and things again weren't adding up. The figure he was throwing out are whack. For example, he was beginning to tell me the same story of how Edge brought PHRG from a $30 mil a year to $250 mil a year company (hold on as your biggest client, shouldn't everyone know the exact figures?). This was a big red flag right there. Then things are starting to become clearer. I'm not being hired for a management position at all. In fact they want me to go door-to-door (which they openly say they do not do) and get people to fill out appointment sheets where someone from PHRG will come by at a later date and give a demonstration on their various products. Both Matt and Rich openly said "we don't do sales". That's funny, because aren't I going door to door "selling" appointments? Anyways Rich chatted a lot about how he started doing this, then took a break and went to consulting, and then came back because the money was too good to pass up. Apparently they started in Jersey and have various other locations and plan on expanding to North Carolina, Texas, Boston etc. Yet when I asked why I couldn't find them, they replied they are individually owned and operated under different names (Once again weird, but OK maybe there is still a chance this place is legit). So its time for the shadowing. Rich prepares to take me out to show me how its done. ( we are literally about to go door to door selling appointments, but somehow this is a management position where I oversea a team of reps). So after giving me a rough idea about how much he makes (very unprofessional, red flag) I expect him to have a nice sedan, SUV or something since he was talking about have a nice house, a boat etc. Well its your standard Nissan Altima (nothing wrong with that at all, except not what I was expecting from the image he was portraying). We went out door to door and no one was home (its about 11 am on a Tuesday, obviously they're all at work). I'll cut to the chase. We get back and they have me fill out some kind of questionnaire/ quiz type thing, and then I go interview with Matt again. We talk briefly, and after I asked he tells me "This job is 100% commission based, no base pay. You will start out as a rep, selling appointments (what they call leads) and the average rep makes $600/ week while their top earner averages $1100/ week. If you do well, you move to manage a team of reps and then you become manager of a whole branch etc. etc. you get where this is going. Commission only, door to door selling, BS figures coming out of left field, and six figure managers that can't afford to get their suits tailored properly. They have changed their name multiple times (previously known as Forefront Advertising Inc., Paragon Marketing, and Primus Marketing). Do a search for these names and you will get the Ripoff Report on all of them!
