Next month rolls around and we have a charge for service, they say they won't cancel our contract anymore and will now offer a 40% discount to "help us out." These are the kinds of business practices that lead to class action lawsuits, fortunately I'm in a family full of lawyers who love taking down corrupt companies. I've given wordstream 48 hours to refund and abide by their cancelation, I will update this review if they decide to follow their word. If not, a lawsuit will follow - if anyone else has had similar behavior from this company please contact me to join lawsuit.

You can see that right when I started using Wordstream and following their algorithms' suggestions, and those of the consultant, COSTS SOARED HIGHER, and yet CONVERSION RATE PLUMMETED. My 3 month contract ended and I canceled two weeks prior, which is 12 days earlier than I needed to, and yet they still charged me an extra month of fees and refused to refund me my money. Their service is terrible and they banged me for an extra month's fees despite my written cancellation beyond the minimum time frame required. I wouldn't buy a bag of peanuts from this company - total trash.

He showed up to my house when I had a virus he couldn't fix, some Sonos and iTunes questions he didn't know how to answer (he had printed out Help docs from Apple...yes, I could have done that myself) and still couldn't answer, and a couple of other things (systems upgrade issues) that he had no idea how to fix. Fine that he couldn't fix the problems, but what irked me was that these were issues that someone who advertises as a for-hire technician should have been able to fix, and he was fairly smug about looking down at his watch at the end of the session and gladly took my cash as if he was rightly entitled for wasting a half hour of my time with the same troubleshooting I could have done myself. I nearly said "you're really going to charge me?". I would not say that this guy is an expert, nor is he fluent on current issues or a level of expertise that warrants charging $$$ in 15-minute intervals. Nice guy on a personal level but baby boomer mentality that "hey I showed up where's my check". If you call this guy, make sure you list out the problems you have and let him convince you he knows what he's doing before he shows up at your door and slowly tries all the things you already did...as he watched the minutes tick by.

While our industry was not within his area of expertise, he had been recommended by an associate. The current state report was developed from employee interviews and data the company already owned. While it was nice to have a summary, there wasn't much of a value-add, unfortunately. There were known issues, primarily with a recent ERP migration, and we were looking for a way forward. The recommendations were delivered emphatically and, we thought, credibly. Turned out to be stunningly poor advice. The recommended solutions were costly and superficial, setting the organization back by at least two years, conservatively. In retrospect, the recommendations consisted of 1) conventional wisdom that could just as well have come from a quality hour with Google and 2) echoing back what the CEO already believed were the problems and solutions. For example, rather than call out the crippling lack of in-house expertise, the company was encouraged to--in effect--double down by engaging in still more complex, technical projects with even less in-house expertise. In fairness, one could say that the worst ideas may not have originated with Mr. Gangal. Then again, he did validate them. Personable guy, and maybe things would have been different if he'd been more familiar with our business or market.
