Dr. Gamson is a true master at his craft and has always strived to make sure things are up to his standers before I leave even if that means making a couple adjustments to things. I was a little scared because root canals have such a bad rep, but thankfully I was referred by my dentist to Dr. Gamson. I was seen promptly when I arrived and felt more relaxed in just a few minutes. Dr. Gamson is gifted - finding common interests to distract patients in a charming manner - and at the same time explaining what he is doing and what to expect. Also, it's clear he's a top notch expert when it comes to root canals. I had no pain during the procedure - just a bit of sting with the shots. The root canal immediately addressed the radiating pain. I was so relieved that an experience I expected to be horrible was not - and I enjoyed Dr. Gamson's charming chatter, which distracted me from my fears. The office staff was efficient and helped me understand the insurance coverage situation. Also, the office and treatment rooms have unique art displayed that I enjoyed learning about. Anyway, I'm going back soon as I suspect another tooth needs treatment...it's nice that I know I have no reason to worry.

I first arrived here in May 2024, then November 2024, & most recently May 2025. Wow, this dentist is top notch, blows the Wheaton dentist I had out of the water. My tooth and I were traumatised, and the tooth ultimately died. Dr. Chan's mission was to delicately perform a root canal on my front tooth, so as to not crack the crown again. I was young and terrified. Dr Chan succeeded, putting an end to the awful period of my life dealing with this poor tooth. More recently, another dentist told me another one of my teeth is on the edge of death, with a massive infection, related to an apparently bad root canal performed on that tooth a long time before I met dr Chan. Dr. Chan fixed it. He is an expert. Root canals are all he does. He told me one option would be for me to walk out of his office and get an implant. I didn't do that. He's efficient, thorough, honest, and does not beat around the bush (which can be perceived as short, but which I don't mind bc I'm not there to have my hand held). His staff is nice and competent. She was so professional and nice and made me feel so comfortable. In fact, I didn't feel anything, no pain. She talked me through the entire procedure which helped my anxiety. They used a CBCT scan to perfectly identify where and what the problem was. Then they used this amazing machine called Gentle Wave which cleans out the inside of the tooth. Not many practices have such a machine. The assistant, Sherry, was also very professional. She handled those instruments with such ease! He said, "You're an idiot if you don't go see Dr. Jafari." So I did. And my brother was right. My tooth was a borderline call whether or not to do the root canal. Dr. Jafari went out of his way - patiently - to educate me on my options, risks, benefits, costs, etc. I made the call to go forward with the root canal with the knowledge that I made an educated decision, which, once Dr. Jafari got deep into the procedure, ended up being the right decision too. And, with all that said ... and all the hype and scary stories you hear about root canals, it ended up being about as painless of a procedure as possible. I'm not going to run out and do it again, I hope, but, if I had to, there is no question I would go back to Dr. Jafari without hesitation.
