Cute little park/playground right on the beach in Center Moriches. If you take Belleview (or Bellvue - apparently it is called both) down to the end, you'll end up at Webby's Park. It has just been revamped after Hurricane Sandy seems to have trampled much of the area. A brand new playground has been installed. There are no dogs allowed in the park sadly, but you can enter into Terrell River County Park just a few hundred yards from here ( which IS dog-friendly). There are no bathrooms or other amenities. Just a lovely, little park with beach access in a very nice and safe community.

Some of the rockiness of the beach.

Its a plus to have everything right there for anyone . The waves are perfect you can go our in the water and not get hit and smacked around and rolled over everywhere . The water is gorgeous its clear and you can see your feet when your in the water . You can see lots of fish , there's crabs , seaweed . The salt water isn't strong at all . Seashells there's so many seashells that you can take a bucket and have lots of fun shell shopping . There small to big shells . There is also sea glass which I was surprised . The sea glass there is really cool small and big pieces all different colors . There is changing rooms , bathrooms , and showers . Everything is clean and everyone is polite . I didn't even see any garbage laying around . This is the first beach I've gone to which was actually really clean and people are really nice . The parking fee is only 15$ which is not bad at all then you can park anywhere and just go onto the beach . The sand is perfect its so soft and some shells but its easy to walk on . Its great for anyone family , couples , groups etc . The west Hamptons beach is a must to go to .

I can't believe you can just rent a boat here with no prior experience at all, but honestly this…read morewas pretty great. I booked a day boat here for an afternoon with four of my girlfriends. Upon check-in we'd learned that the limit is typically 4 people (700 lb maximum), but since most of us are pretty small we were well under that weight limit even as five people, so they allowed it (and I lived to write this review so, all good). After signing my life away and a very quick motor tutorial by a kid who looked like he couldn't be older than middle school, we were on our way. The motor on this boat took a little getting used to, but once I got the hang of it I was a pretty good captain (I'd like to think). We put down the anchor and got out to explore Bird and Gull Islands, then headed over to another beach with a hill to climb up and get a bird's eye view of the area. Before we knew it, it was time to head back to the harbor, but we kept the party going with some drinks and food (will review that separately). Jay (who I think is the owner or manager?) told us we were only allowed to rent a boat if we took a picture and it turns out he was serious (see the photo shoot results in my photos which turned out pretty cute). He took these on his phone so not sure what else he plans to do with them.

At noon the food stand opens where you can get a beautiful lobster roll as well as many other foods and drinks. Ice cold beer and lobster roll was superb. Gift shop is fun. I highly recommend this spot for a lovely day in East Moriches.

Everything will look the same and there's a lot twists and turns. It has happened to me and I'm pretty well versed in hiking and trails. My swissy loves it here. He's not really a runner, so trails and lots of stuff to sniff and check out are his thing. It's pretty busy in the on season and relatively desolate in the off season, but it's nice either way. If you don't mind bundling up, doing some off season walking and hiking might be for you. It's very beautiful and extremely quiet, almost too quiet. I have always felt safe here. As a lady, it can be off putting to be in a large place alone but I always see rangers here and there even if other people aren't around. Many people bring their dogs to run and hike- most are good but as with any public place there are always some bad eggs. I would deff check this one out if you haven't. I often find that we stop and just watch nature. It's a really great way to get out and do something that feels different each time you go. Most of the photos are of my dog but you get an idea of what it looks like!
