We only had time to take the one tail to the water's edge, but even in semi-overcast, chilly late fall weather, it was slightly challenging, scenic, and DEFINITELY worth a detour, if you're in the area (and just MIGHT need to hike off a BIT of local wine and cheeeeeese!!)

Never Disappointed at Strong's!…read more We came in for a couple of days to enjoy their beautiful pool aboard our Silverton Motor Yacht. Booked the slip through DockWa and got a perfect spot on the gas dock T. The dockhands were knowledgeable, friendly, and efficient upon arrival. The grounds looked great and the pool was spectacular. I also have to give a shoutout to the lifeguard on duty -- he jumped into action when an elderly man was struggling in the deep end. Really impressed by how quickly and calmly he responded. I also ran into a minor issue with my boat when we arrived: the starting battery bank (three batteries) was completely dead. Not bad for 8 years on a set of lead-acid batteries! The service manager, Jay, was excellent -- he ordered three new batteries from Lighthouse Marine and had them installed the same day. He and the service team did a great job, and the pricing was fair for the level of service we received. We always look forward to our visits at Strong's. Thanks for everything!

He was able to take 6 for a banana boat ride while 2 sat in the boat and took pictures. We had 11 people for the banana boat so he made 2 trips for us. Everyone had a great time from the youngest (5 yrs.) to grandma and grandpa. Keith was so accommodating to all the needs of our large group and everyone liked him so much. My husband and boys went fishing and caught a couple fluke. The boys were excited to catch a couple of crabs and robinfish as well. We went on a very impromptu paddleboarding run on a Saturday. They sell some incidentals at the shop, but didn't try to upsell. We were instructed to pick up the life jacket, but they brought the paddleboard over to the dock across the street. There was no demonstration, but it was easy enough to figure out that I started backwards on my board and the family was nice enough not to say anything about it (lol). We did a very short ride, an hour out in the water. The paddleboard and the paddle seemed well-maintained (not that I am an expert). The course they suggested was perfect as it gave us some time in the water. Because it was the height of the day, it was not very crowded out in the water, though I could see larger groups starting their rides by the time we came back to shore. It was a surprisingly pleasant experienced and I love that it's a family business. I would visit the Peconic Paddler again.

They helped us decide what would work best for our group. They gave us all life preservers and had us in the water and going within 5 min of arrival. Easy Peezy. You can go as long as you want or just do a quick float about. We did about a 2 mile trip, (took about 3 hours)we arrived at a small waterfall and the kids got to get out and play about a little. They loved it, don't forget your water shoes and your bathing suit. You cant really swim but you will get somewhat wet. Pack a lunch or go to the end where there is a spot to get out and grab and taco or some ice cream. Maybe both. The trip back went a little faster as you are going back with the current. If you are always wondering what to do with the kids ( of any age ) I highly recommend you try this place.
