After weeks of failed attempts to make contact I decided to email them. After several back and forth emails over the course of a few days (they only send responses in the middle of the night) I requested someone call me directly to book an appointment because I was told that time slots available on the website were actually NOT available. I never heard back despite continued follow up. When contacting Groupon to put in a claim I was advised there were many complaints for the same reason. Don't waste your energy.

The weather has been especially crummy this spring and summer, but we didn't let that stop us. Adam was friendly, funny, and helpful. He got us set up quickly and pointed out where to head on our big yellow floating bananas! We saw ospreys, turtles, and egrets. We were able to make it to Taylors island and get off the kayaks and walk around. I felt safe in the fairly calm water, and the cloudy weather kept most of the boats away from us, which made for a peaceful trip. Definitely would come back ! Some items to note if you decide to rent: No bathrooms at launch point. If you're hungry grab a snack on the way or in Greenport. You can also bring it with you and eat at Taylors island. Water shoes help if you have them.

What a great experience we had with JK Kayak and SUP. This was our first time kayaking and we…read morewere in great hands with Joe and Connor. The website provided all the information we needed to be prepared for our adventure. Upon arrival, Joe and Connor got us fitted with our safety vests and our kayaks and then gave us lessons on how to use the paddle, get in/out of the kayak and provided general navigation and waterway guidance; from there we were off and loving life! We kayaked in Cold Spring Harbor just behind the lab and had an awesome time. It was so relaxing and quiet as we glided across the water. Joe led us in the front and Connor picked up the rear so we always felt safe and in good hands. Since this was our first time, we opted for a 1hour lesson/tour and Joe told us that most of his customers, at the end of the tour, say they wanted more time. We all felt the same way and can't wait to go back. If you're thinking about kayaking... go for it and definitely do it with JK Kayak & SUP. You won't be disappointed. He helped my cousins learn how to operate a Jet Ski properly and he was incredibly helpful out on the water as well. The Jet Ski's were Yamaha Waverunners and for a 30 minute rental the price is not bad at all. Overall I'd definitely recommend and I can't wait to get out on the water again with Peconic Water Sports!!!

We hired two boats for two hours, and we had a blast. The staff were former professional wake…read moreboarders, and the boats were brand new (literally a week old) specialized water sport boats that generate extra wake for better tubing, wake surfing, wake boarding, etc. The two staff members on each boat were patient, encouraging and polite. They gave great tips and instruction on how to wake board. Our group of 6 (aged 6 to adult) will be back!
