What a cute beach. I came for a little during the off season (4/25/25) after having lunch. It wasn't crowded at all. The beach was clean. I noticed what looked like bar area. There was also a place for the kids to borrow beach toys. There's also a playground. There is a lot you can park in if you have a permit, and street parking is also available. I could definitely see this beach getting crowded as the season gets closer, but I would definitely return. read more

Whole place smells like actual feces- not low tide- feces. The water is black and dark brown and people are leaving used condoms and dirty diapers all over the sidewalks. So much trash everywhere. We had to leave because of the smell. It also looks like poop is all is the water and floating. Not seaweed- poop. It could be such a cute and cozy place. read more

I love this south shore beach. Years ago, I used to take my kids here because of the playground on the beach and calmness of the bay, versus ocean waves, for swimming. Now, it's a great calm spot to bring breakfast/lunch under covered pavilion, to relax after work on a beach chair, or to grab a drink and bite to eat (at deck near beach house), with live music during summer evenings on weekends. read more

Corey Beach is a great local beach located on the bay. Yesterday it was the starting point for the annual Turkey Trot. In the summer parking gets crowded. There is a large lot if you have a permit. Then there is parking on the street if you arrive early enough. There is a nice playground for the kids. In the mornings I have seen the local yoga studio doing classes. There is a decent concession stand and public restrooms. read more

This is a favorite local spot for me and as a photographer, I go here quite often to take shots of the pier, marina and beach. I tend to like to go to all the local beaches in the off season when they are less crowded, but Corey is a good spot for a picnic dinner on hot summer evenings, especially with Flo's within walking distance. In the on-season, parking can be a hassle. There's free parking if you're lucky, you'll likely have to pay during the day to park. The only thing I wish is that some of the beach patrons wouldn't be such pigs. The town does a fairly good job picking up the garbage and raking the beach, but it's a shame people can't pick up and take their own garbage with them. It's gross. Sometimes if you happen to visit the beach before the cleanup crew has arrived, you can find stuff strewn everywhere.... but that's more the fault of the disgusting people who don't seem to have any common sense. Overall, I really enjoy Corey Beach. Whether on a winters day filled with snow or on a hot summers afternoon, you might find me there walking around with my camera and loving it. read more

Hah certainly not a five star beach, sorta filthy water with all the boats coming out of the nearby inlet... My friend was robbed at gunpoint a few years back in the marina parking lot... JTs could be cooler and better than it is, the parking situation is awful... Shall I go on? It's an okay spot. read more

With the hot summer months u take what u can get when it comes to the beach... in the area visiting a friend & we decide to come here. Cute small beach, decent set up u have a little bit of everything. Small area where u can get food, they have a playground for the kids to play. A pier for boats u can also Kayak here. Beach itself is super rocky which I am not a big fan of, the water is a dark muddy color which is for the most part normal out here. Best thing about the water is that unlike other beaches in the island the water itself was nice & warm already at this time of the year & not freezing cold like most Long Island beaches tend to be. Parking was easy since they have parking lot they also have street parking. Nice little beach to spend an afternoon in. read more

Beach Great little beach over in Blue Point that the GF showed me at lunch one day- naturally, she waited until the end of the summer, but from here on in, I will pop by here to take my usual nooner nap. Reviewing beaches isn't easy, because it really depends on what your looking for from the beach. Corey beach is on the great South Bay so that means the water is dirty but warmer then the ocean beaches so like in my case, with the grandkids it's good, no waves (unless a boat goes by) shallow, warm, lots of fish you can scoop with a net (kids seem to love this activity) and the beach is clean, there's a playground, swings, bathroom and a good restaurant (Flos') to eat in. So for young kids it's a great beach to go for the day If you aren't town of Brookhaven, your paying $20 to park and the parking is limited, so arrive early or late. Definitely you need shade so bring an umbrella because you get the sun the whole day and it gets hot! It says alcohol is prohibited (which I noticed after I had consumed two 12 packs with the fam) oops! I guess reading the conspicuously placed sign wasn't high up on my list of things to do! (I get excited when my feet hit the sand) We brought snacks and were planning on eating at the restaurant there..but alas no open tables This is a nice out of the way town beach and it's very relaxing, good for tanning, listening to music and chilling out with the kids At night it's a different vibe, the restaurant turns into a bar, cool place to hang, and there is nothing more romantic then a beach at twilight It's no ocean beach, but again it depends on your circumstances and what your looking f read more

My husband and I were out on Long Island this past weekend babysitting our 2 and half year old niece. We decided that we'd be adventurous and take her to the beach on Friday (with the help of my MIL). This is a great beach for kids! Corey Beach is located in the Great South Bay (more specifically in Patchogue Bay). There are some pros and cons about it being on the bay. Pros 1. The water is incredibly calm. 2. The water is much warmer than in the ocean. 3. There is a playground for the kiddies. 4. There is a shop selling food. 5. There are restrooms (no changing tables though). Cons 1. There is massive amounts of seaweed in the water. 2. The ocean floor has tons of rocks and shells, so it's pretty harsh on your feet when you get into the water. My suggestion, wear aqua socks. I will make sure to bring mine next time. 3. No changing tables in the restrooms. Parking, parking, parking! There is a parking lot. It costs $5 for Brookhaven residents. All others are $20! We were about to park in the lot, but our only Brookhaven resident was a 2.5 year old with no ID, so we pulled out. We had to drive around the neighborhood for about 10 minutes or so, but then I spotted someone getting into a car, so we nabbed the spot. I'd much rather circle for 10 minutes than pay $20 to park 10 feet closer. We definitely will be taking our niece here again, she absolutely loves this beach! read more

Yes, I am partial to any place that shares my name (even if they spell it wrong:)). I came across Corey Beach while exploring in Long Island. It's a great little park/beach area where you can BBQ, boat, swim, etc... You have to pay for parking but it seems the beach access is free. The beach was packed with locals and everyone was having a great time. I can't wait to visit again. Next time I will definitely try out Flo's Diner, on the corner. read more

I award this beach the full five stars because it's my favorite thing...FREE. Having come from Nassau County where your only choices of beach are mostly Long Beach, Jones Beach, and TOBAY, which all cost money, i am discovering many free beaches around suffolk where ive moved to. This beach corey, was nice, relaxing and had a comfort station. Just park in the neighborhood to avoid the parking lot fee. read more

Place has truly gone downhill since I was a kid. My friends and I used to go for walks on the dock and crab at this beach. The best part about it now is honestly flos kitchen which is timeless and any local knows the truth. People take their jobs way too seriously around here. A ton of children were smoking weed on the beach and some numb nuts security guard said that my boyfriend and I couldn't walk on the dock. We happen to have a boat there and tried to explain it to him and he didn't even want to hear it. Judgmental? I love how people just assume because ur a certain color or appear a certain way you can't go to a place. My family will be removing their boat from the water and moving it to a better place which doesn't discriminate and actually asks to see the facts before judging. Never in my life. Disgusting. Crab meadow in Huntington never would behave in this manner. Total trash working that parking lot and he doesn't even make enough money to act as high and mighty as he is lmao. read more
