No-Show. I called 12/17 requesting a half cord before…read moreChristmas. He would only text and wanted to know location of everything as he was "not interested in hiking wood around buildings". I assured him I live on a small lot in a subdivision. I agreed to an additional $50 fee for delivery before the holiday, which I didn't think was bad, and he assured me he'd deliver the weekend before Xmas. The weekend came and went with no show, no call or text. Today (day after Christmas) I texted to cancel my order and received a nonchalant "will do" as a reply. Not worth your time, look elsewhere.

Right away, he was extremely rude to me. It was as if I could not ask a question without getting hit with a rude and complaining comment. S&D has delivered to my location before which is out of their local area and they have never complained before. But this time around, the owner kept complaining and complaining and it started to turn into a passive aggressive approach with comments making me feel like I was to blame for whatever his constant complaints were about. First, he said he would need to chat with his crew to see about making this trip to us. I said ok and asked for a possible price. He snapped back at me with a snarky comment of, "like I said, send me your address and I'll see!!!" I was just asking for a possible price, not a rude comment. Then he said he would charge me about $900 for one cord which last year, I did not even pay close to that amount for 2 cords with a delivery fee. Then again, he would come back at me with another complaining, passive aggressive comment as if I didn't know what I was talking about. He told me that his drivers will have to drive about 6 hours or so and made me feel like I did not know what they were going through. I told him that we have driven that route before to their location to load wood ourselves and haul it back to our home and that if it was such a problem that we'll pick it up ourselves again. He kept going with his constant complaining and rude comments. I noted that due to the snow, of course, we aren't expecting them to deliver in the next 24/48 hours, then again, I was hit with another rude comment. As I was asking simple questions, the comments kept getting worse from him and he started to get riled up and I literally told him, "you're being extremely rude, we're not going to work with you," and had to hang up on him because of his extreme hostility. I'm not sure if he's just burnt out or having a bad morning, but I'm extremely disappointed as this was our favorite firewood supplier. Never again! Let me add that after posting a google review, the owner responded with a very unapologetic, unprofessional, scapegoating, narcissistic, response. I highly recommend looking for other companies unless you know how to deal with this owner's unprofessionalism.

How about just delivering the whole load that I ordered and that every customer orders from you? I know of at least 2 other people that have been shorted on the 3 cord "deal". I asked for a cord and a half because I tend to get shafted from places in the past, yet Brenda promised me their cords were generous and said 1 should be enough. I'm not exactly sure how much wood they gave me but I feel hooked up! The wood is quality and cuts were perfect. Anyone living in the 406 area I highly recommend this place!
