Jeff has recently started home brewing (and yes, the beer is pretty good so far!) so we've gone here a few times for supplies. The owners are super friendly. They always introduce themselves by name with a handshake followed by them asking if you need any help. When was the last time that happened to you? I haven't been to another brew supply store before so I can't compare it to anything else (which is why it's 4 stars instead of 5), but this is a nice place. They seem to offer a good supply of products at a reasonable price. read more

Whether it's making wine or beer or joining the wine club these guys do a great job. A very helpful and friendly staff makes things easy and the classes offered on brewing are fantastic. Prices for supplies are about the same as you'll find on line but no shipping. My inlaws got me a gift cert here as they live in Chester Springs and I would be there for Christmas. The day after Christmas I went in happy as a clam, and left happy as a clam as well. I was waited on from the moment I got in until the moment I got out. I am not an easy person to wait on, as I ask a lot of questions and think about that one last thing just as we are about to get done. Everyone there, especially the gentleman in the hat (I forgot his name, bad James) was kind, respectful, and helpful. They made my non-brewing wife feel like a million bucks too. The staff here knows the trick and tips to brewing great beer /wines. The yeast is fresh. The malts are fresh. the business is very clean and well organized! Hops are plentiful (if in season) They really take the time to listen and are extremely helpful when they respond to a question. Fair and competitive pricing on general brewing needs. Friendly, knowledgeable staff. They have everything you could need for homebrewing or making wine at home. Prices are the same or less than any of the on-line stores, but unlike the on-line stores you know the ingrediants you are buying are fresh and can talk with the experts. They also always have a few homebrews on tap and you can try as much as you want. read more

I have been going to Weak Knee pretty much since they opened. They really treat you like family there! I brew beer and I make wine and they have absolutely everything I need when I need it. The store is professional looking and the owners are exceptionally knowledgeable in brewing. The best part about the place is the free tastings. Bill, Dave and Karen will be more than happy to pour you various wines and ~6 beers they have readily available on tap. All homebrew! They even supply my little ones with homebrewed rootbeer. Even if you are not big on homebrewing your own beer/wine, this place is worth stopping by just to check out. I would give it a 10 if I could. Exceptional selection of merchandise, classes, personal service and education, and a tasting area to boot. If all businesses would take a lesson in customer service from Bill and Dave, we wouldn't be in this recession. They genuinely care about their customer's success, and oh by the way, because of that, judging by the crowds that are there every time I go (which is often), they seem to be doing real well. We have been going to the Weak Knee now for almost 3 years for our wine and beer making supplies. We have also been part of their barrel club for the same amount of time. If you want to learn how to make good wine buy into a barrel. We have participated in 6 barrels so far and two more real soon. We do all the work while Bill coaches us. Attention all home brewers: you MUST check out the new store in Pottstown - Weak Knees! If youhave been making wine or beer at home (like I have) and bothered that you had to go all the way to Keystone (God Bless you guys, you are cool) in Montgomeryville or Bethlehem for supplies...LOOK NO FURTHER! This awesome shop just opened yesterday in Pottstown in the Redners shopping cener on Charlotte Street and it is a gem! The owners and their wives (sorry i forget names but Bill and David!) are there and super knowledgable! The store, full of supplies to brew your own beer or make you own wine has an added bonus; a beautifully hand crafted wood bar area in the back complete with bottles and taps of home brewed selections that you can sample and then purchase right in the store! What not a better way to get a sample of what you want to home brew by tasting it right in the store! ? I am super excited about this store and I hope you stop in and see for yourself!! read more

I have been brewing beer for over 20 years and it is nice to have a place nearby to pick up ingredients. I have been going there since it opened and I am still greeted by name every time I enter even after I had to close my brewery for two years to do home renovations. The shop itself is very nice with costume woodwork as one of the owners is a master carpenter. They usually have the ingredients that I need and if they don't, they will get in in for me. Their equipment inventory is lacking as far as advanced beer stuff but if there is something I want, they will go out of their way to get it in. Customer service is their strength, and they never seem to disappoint. read more
