Didn't take me to type of beer I requested. (No other customers.) When I got to the area, NO prices anywhere. Not on containers, shelf, or a list. Asked 2 customers who'd arrived, about prices. They ignored me. Had to ask clerk, who was not at all busy, to help carry my purchases to my car. TERRIBLE in so many ways, but the NO TOILET PAPER was the worst.

I've been coming to this Cole's Hardware in Lewisburg since moving downtown in 2005 and have…read more*never* failed to get great service and expert advice at this store. As one example, I once brought in a big hand-painted ceramic plate (wedding gift) and asked how they recommended hanging it on a wall. Three staff members, gathered around their table in the back, conferred on the spot. They problem-solved and discussed. They ended up taking two wrought iron hooks off a shelf and welding them to be just the right curvature to hold the plate up. Next they recommended the hardware to hold that weight on our old walls. This was all done in ten minutes twelve years ago and the wedding plate is still hanging on display. All this expertise and quick help was free. The hooks and hardware cost next to nothing too. Amazing. Over the years, people at Cole's have made us new keys, replaced glass, loaded mulch and soil into the back of our vehicle, mixed paint, mixed more paint, advised us on paint, and advised us on everything else from lawn edging materials to wall patching to light bulbs to outlet replacements and dimmers... I've gone to the local Big Box Store Competition, and their "service" can't even be called service by comparison. I wander around for a long time to find someone and the person I find can't help. At Cole's I always get help and answers. Human connection in the form of expertise and friendly service, and top-quality products, all in one. If you haven't gone, go. Biggest…read moreproblem with the move is most people are not aware it happened, as Yukon is an old school shop with no social media or website. I went to the old location once while they were in the middle of moving and was impressed with the stock and prices of comics and Heroclix. Location is directly off the highway and newly refinished. Large well organized longbox selection with most being fifty percent off. New pull selection is decent and they are sold bag and boarded. Toys and collectables are located all over the walls including comic and sports figures. Shop also has various board games, a significant Heroclix stock, and Magic: The Gathering cards. Sports card boosters are for the most part kept behind the counter. Various graphic novels are spread throughout the shop. The office dog is calm, friendly, and a free roamer who usually lies behind the counter. Yukon is a good shop that's worth a visit, lots of longbox opportunities.

In all, we bought some apple dumplings, fudge, a desk (which was priced very well), and a few bottles of wine. Annie and Miss Betty were so wonderful to chat with, and the gentleman at Edelholz and the guys moving the antiques in were very nice, too! They were also having a rummage sale in what usually is the greenhouse (but is closed for the season) and my husband found a beer growler to add to his collection. It seems like they have a lot of stuff constantly coming in for the antiques section so it may be worth a second look. It's definitely worth a stop and is one of those places where you could spend either a few minutes (if you know what you're stopping for) or an hour or so (if you are just browsing)! All in all, I'd recommend stopping!
