Prior authorization process is ridiculous. They claim a medical specialist reviews requests, yet…read moremultiple times they completely ignored more than half of my medical history. If you're going to deny someone, maybe look at all the information instead of half-assing it.

ABSOLUTELY THE EPITOME OF INSURANCE COMPANIES. I ended up on this trash can of insurance in June. I…read moream on 2 medications for the last 24-years, and these dictators made me jump through hoops to get my medication. I am NOT, let me repeat NOT supposed to abruptly stop this medication. This was after I went through the formulary list to ensure this medicine was covered before selecting this insurance. They left me without my medicine for the first time. Then, here it is December - I might mention I specifically asked them in June whether I would need to do anything further such as a prior auth to ensure this doesn't happen again. NOPE, all is good, you won't need to do ANYTHING else moving forward, is what they said. Fast forward to December 2025 and I go to fill my one prescription and low and behold they refuse to cover it, because the prior auth has expired. Huh! I thought there was no prior auth, thought everything was good moving forward, nothing else would be needed. Not notice, not a simple text message of "your prior auth will expire 12/3/25, please reach out to doctor to submit a new one", no NOTHING!!! They act as if it is my doctor who is responsible for this when it is a 110% percent their decision to request these. I am completely out of my medication and will go through withdrawals that could create serious health issues or death, and they try to push it off like its nothing to do the prior auth that THESE nuts want. My doctor is in hospital on Wednesday and Thursday and many other physicians won't do the prior auths with certain medications and require it to be done by the treating doctor. Then they say well you can pay out of pocket ($535.00) for it, and once the prior auth is done you can ask for a reimbursement. Like so many of us have boat loads of money to just throw almost $600.00 for 56 pills. Quartz is the deciding people on these prior auths, yet these blood-sucking leeches surely take over $2000.00 a month they receive in premiums from me. I am tired of these big insurance vultures playing doctor, their lack of compassion for leaving people without medicines, causing health issues from their stupid prior auths and their blatant failure to properly notify that a prior auth is ending to allow doctors and patients time to arrange for a new one. Let me assure you if anything happens to me due to their lack of notifications, I will be obtaining an attorney and suing this company for any health issues they cause me. They can get their big wig attorneys involved, I don't care, I will be sure media is informed and still keep suing them. I am also sure I could gather quite a few more patients going through similar situations, to make it a class-action lawsuit. If I would have known they would pull this utter nonsense yet again, I would have NEVER stayed with them for 2026. I sure hope we finally destroy these corporations and their constant dictating money grubbing crap. Quartz you SUCK!!!! You are liars, greedy and cruel. And once my prior auth goes through, if my reimbursement isn't issued immediately, I'll be contacting consumer protection for failure to reimburse me. I am going to be the nastiest, most difficult Karen you will EVER encounter because I am done with your incompetencies. To newcomers: Please pleassssssse consider using other insurance companies, we are not disgruntled patients, we are upset at the thousands we pay them and their lack of consistency and leaving us with debt, and without medicines for their constant changes and games. Don't keep letting this company get rich off of us, invest your money somewhere you won't get treated like dirt.

Bad experiences with their coverage…read more I've been trying to get a claim denial resolved for some time- for some reason, getting severe pains at 2AM in the morning and going to the emergency room doesn't warrant insurance coverage. After a long, drawn out process of trying to find out why I was denied coverage, I found out that the reason was because the origins of my pain were listed as dental related in the medical record. So I guess what they're proposing is that whenever I'm in pain in the middle of the night, I first sit and spend 30 minutes to an hour wallowing in severe pain and then try to make sense of their long list of coverage dos and donts. Fun. So if you want uncertainty and the adventure of not knowing whether or not you should go to the emergency room everytime you wake up in the middle of the night in severe pain, then Physician's Plus is the insurance for you. For me, I'd rather not have to deal with that.

I have been a PPlus member for ten years. Over that time my rates have continually increased to…read morethe point I am paying $900.00 a month for just my health insurance. During that time the coverage has decreased and I was forced to leave my long term primary health Dr. because she was in a new building. Now I am forced to drive farther to an old building to see a Dr. who drank the kool- aid and gives" light" physicals. I had cataract surgery in January. My benefits say they cover the first pair of single focal lens after the surgery. I needed more than that, so I knew they wouldn't cover the whole cost, but thought they would cover some of the cost of the new glasses. After five months they have denied any coverage because they are not single focal. That means, they only cover reader glasses that you can pick up for ten dollars at the drug store.
