History

Established in 2009.

FCIS was established in September of 2009, after husband and wife team Bret and Nicole LaBuwi decided to turn their passion for helping others into a career. Before they opened up the agency in 2009, Bret and Nicole worked as captive agents for HealthMarkets for over 5 years.

Meet the Business Owner: Bret and Nicole L.

Bret and Nicole attended UW Stout, where they met. The two got married and lived in Minnesota for a couple years before moving to the Madison area to pursue other job ventures. Before opening up FCIS, Bret and Nicole worked in the health insurance arena for over 5 years working as a captive agent for HealthMarkets. During Bret's time with HealthMarkets he was a district manager with a minimum of 10 agents that he was responsible for. With a shift in direction from the company they were with, Bret and Nicole felt that it was time to go out on their own and put themselves into a position where they could use their talents to help serve and support their clients. They wanted to have the opportunity to work for their clients, by giving them choices of products that would fit their needs and their budget. Then, in September 2009 First Choice Insurance Solutions was established.
